Steve and his crew at Zen have been easy to work with from the first contact and request for quote through the install. Steve's many years in the industry shows and I would not hesitate to use Zen Windows Twin Cities again. Competitive on price, installed in the timeframe promised and we are pleased with the quality of the Softlite windows that were installed.

We had our Windows replaced by Zen last fall. Their attention to detail was fantastic. They did not damage any plants during the installation. Zen did not leave one spec of debris when they were done. The windows are fantastic. 5 stars all the way!

Steve is very easy to work with and our quote was fair and the windows are fantastic. The installers were professional and did a excellent job.. We replaced the windows in our entire house and we are quite pleased.

They did a great job and were easy to work with. I will be using them again when I complete more window replace to in my house.

Our window replacement experience was great. Everything from the estimate to measuring and then install. Steve kept us informed throughout the process and there were no surprises and best of all no high pressure sales.

We love our new windows!

Great quality windows and great service by Steve and Eric. We couldn’t be happier with the entire process. We highly recommend Zen Windows.

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE WORKING WITH STEVE *** AND ZEN WINDOWS.
On 3/29/2019 I requested a 5-minute quote from the Zen Windows website to replace my windows. After multiple follow-ups, Steve sent over a quote for Lotus Plus windows on 4/15/2019 with the option to upgrade to Nirvana (Softlite Classic) windows. The quote was a little higher than I wanted, so I spent the next few months gathering other estimates for the project. Many of the estimates were lower than the quote Steve provided, but after doing extensive research on the Softlite Classic windows, I felt like those were the best option for me. I reached out to Steve on 9/11/2019 and asked him if he could work with me on the price of my job. Over the next few weeks, we discussed all of our options, and he agreed to provide me a nominal discount on the Nirvana windows if I pay for the entire job up front in cash.
On 10/2/2019, I signed a contract for the Nirvana windows and handed Steve a check for $25,000. In the contract, Steve promised the windows would be installed in 4-6 weeks. 6 weeks later, I followed up with Steve to find out the status of the install. He mentioned that the windows would be in the following week. I contacted him the next week for a status and he mentioned that the trim would be in a week later than expected. The installation of the windows finally started on 11/25/2019, 9 weeks after signing the contract and paying in full.
On 11/26/2019 the installers arrived with the new patio doors that were ordered. Almost immediately, the installers noticed major issues with the quality of the doors. Upon my inspection, I noticed that the doors had stickers on them saying “Alside Windows”. Not knowing if this was a mix up, I asked the installers if these were Nirvana Doors. They replied, “No, the Nirvana doors are always Softlite and Steve wanted to try out a different brand to see if he could save money on the job.” I confronted Steve about this and he admitted that he wanted to test out the new doors on my job, but made a mistake. He agreed to replace the patio doors with Softlite Classic doors. I explained to Steve that our agreement was to replace all of my windows and doors with Softlite, but he denied that. Steve mentioned that if he used Softlite for my job, it was going to cost him more than the Alside windows.
The following week, the windows in my main room were installed. Immediately, I noticed that the glass of the large picture window was wavy and had sediment trapped in the glass. I asked Steve to replace the main window with Softlite Classic windows. He refused, saying that it wasn’t his issue and that he needed Alside to come out to look at the defective window. The Alside rep determined the window was defective and needed to be replaced.
On 1/28/2020, the new patio doors were installed. Upon arriving home, I noticed a substantial gap above and to the side of the door, indicating that the door was measured too small. I discussed this issue with Steve and demanded that he reorder the doors in the correct size. He refused to reorder the doors, instead he decided to make the trim twice the size to coverup the gaps.
After checking in with Steve on the status of the replacement window for the main room every two weeks, he finally mentioned that the window would be installed on 3/4/2020. I asked him to inspect the window before it was delivered to make sure the same defects weren’t present. He failed to inspect the window. On the morning of March 4th, the installer showed up alone, with no help to carry the window out of his truck. I asked the installer if he could inspect the window for quality defects before taking it out of his truck. The installer noticed major defects in the replacement windows including the entire pane of glass being bowed. Steve arrived at that time and I let me know that this was unacceptable. It had now been 22 weeks since I paid in full for the job and Steve still was not able to complete the job properly.
After the Alside installer left, Steve expressed his frustrated with the quality of the Alside windows and asked me what I would like to do about the situation. I replied “I would like you to replace all of my windows with Softlite Classic windows”. Steve replied “I will replace your dining room and main room windows with Softlite”. We proceeded to discuss the exact plans for the replacement of those windows and Steve said he would get back to me by 3/6/2020 with dates on when the Softlite windows will be installed.
Not hearing back on the dates from Steve in over a month, I reached out to him on 4/28/2020. He replied via email saying that he does not think he should have to replace the windows and that I should pursue Alside about a warranty. I demanded that he honor our agreement on March 4th. Steve replied back on 5/11/2020 saying he never promised anything and if I wanted the windows to be replaced, I would have to pay him an additional $6500.
At this point, it has been over 8 MONTHS since I paid in full for the job, and the job is still not completed. Steve has backtracked on his promises and has denied responsibility for the constant issues that have been caused by his use of the cheaper lower quality Alside windows.

We had windows put on our home a few months ago (we wanted to wait and see how they would hold up to the winter). These windows are top notch and didn't draft one bit. They have held up and are much better than the window we had put on previously.

The professionalism that was show both at our in home visit and when they were installed by Eric was unprecedented. My wife Rachael and I were amazed at how much cheaper they were than three other quotes we got and without sacrificing quality. In fact the window that were installed were better than the other competition and at a significant less cost.
The best part of the whole process was the honesty. We had received quotes from two other companies who stated we should replace our egress window. Steve told us that they are up-selling you and it isn't much much older when you purchased the house. "They're just going to install a similar window and take your money." He could have told us the same thing the other did and made a profit but he didn't. True gentleman.

Last but not least, the installation by Eric was done in a little over a day. Every thing was cleaned up perfectly and hauled off our old windows.

We are glad we chose Zen. If you're looking for new windows, look no further. Going with another company would be a disservice to yourself.

The whole process was very smooth and seamless from the initial presentation to the final install everything went perfectly. I’m very pleased with my choice of Steve and Zen windows

We had a great experience with Steve and his crew! They were easy to work with from measurement to installation. Then Steve spent time showing us how to take care of the windows.
We love the quality windows and the exceptional pricing!
They have a great website that explains the products and the process. Would recommend Zen Windows to everyone!

My Zen Windows experience truly was Zen! Great customer service, good product, fair price, timely and clean installation. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

Fantastic service, top-notch product, and Steve is a joy to work with.

Having Zen windows do my windows was so easy. Steve came over we talked in lay mens terms so I understood the process. He did the measuring and then we picked colors and the price was really great compared to other windows I got prices on. I was very pleased and the crew that came to install them were very neat no messes were left and they knew what they were doing. Very smooth process and any questions I had they had answers. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Steve is very knowledgeable about the product, and he is easy to contact and ready to answer any questions. The installers were professional and timely, and they left everything looking great. The entire process was zero pressure - from contacting for a quote to the final walk-though. I feel confident Steve will be more than willing to help if any issues come up. The new windows look great!

Steve and his team did a great job putting new windows in my home. I would highly recommend Steve and Zen to anyone looking for new windows.

I cannot say enough good things about Steve and Zen Windows! The online quote was super easy, with no surprises when he actually came out to take measurements. We replaced nearly every window in our house, which only took a couple days, and I wouldn't have even known the crew had come in the house had we not had to let them in...they were super clean and respectful! The price was impossible to beat, the service was exceptional, the windows look great, and I will definitely be recommending Zen Windows to every single one of my friends and family that ask me about window replacement! Thanks again, Steve!

Steve was super easy to work with in the quoting and ordering process. He sent me the initial quote based on measurements and pictures that I sent to him, which was great. It wasn't a pushy sales experience like I ran into with some other companies who quoted our job. Pricing was as good or better than other quotes I received, and I liked Steve the best so it was an easy choice. We replaced 17 windows. It snowed on the first day of the job, which limited how much work could be done. So Eric (our installer) showed up early and worked long days the next two days to get the job done. He did a great job and was very friendly. Left his work areas nice and clean after each day. Happy we went with Zen and would recommend them.

Nothing but good things to say about my experience with Zen. Needed three windows replaced, and Steve and his crew made the process feel easy from start to finish. No sales pitch like other companies, just helpful information so we could make an informed choice that fit our price range.
The installation was also a breeze. Steve's crew were respectful of our space, and we could tell they were treating the job with care. The windows look and function great! Would recommend to anyone looking for quality windows at a fair price from a company that cares about the customers experience.

I have used Zen Windows for 3 projects and each time they have met or exceeded my expectations. I like that I don't have to sit though a sales pitch, Steve just looks at what you want and gives you a price without trying to sell more or upgrade your windows. The work crews are on time, friendly and clean! The Zen windows are a great product.

We a bought house that was in need of new windows. While it can be costly and stressful to buy new windows, going with Zen windows made it much less stressful. The owner, Steve, was there to answer questions that we had every step of the way. He didn’t pressure us to buy from his company, but allowed us to fully research before making our decision. He made it clear how long the process would take, and was also very clear about the price. The windows are such a good quality, and look beautiful in our home. We got the crank out style. I love how the crank can fold in when you’re not using it, and the ease of opening the windows, and removing the screens. I would strongly recommend Zen windows, both because of the excellent quality, and amazing costumer service.
