To whom it may concern:
We responded directly to *** *** via a phone call from our CEO Doug K***, and issued her a refund of $for her purchase, sent her a prepaid return shipping label to send her filters to our lab for analysis, and also send her a free pack of replacement
filters
Please contact Janet T*** at ###-###-#### if you require further follto this matter

Zero Water's recycling provides consumers a discountWhen you return full size filters to them, they provide $discount coupon codeI returned total of filters expecting I would receive $discount codeI received a discount code via email however, there is a time limitation and they Only sent $coupon! They explained in the email that they only send $coupon at a time and it must be used within days from issued dateNone of these things were explained in their recycle discount form! They try to trick consumers thinking we're helping the environment but the reality is Zero Water is saving themselves $$! This is a advertisement!
Email from Zero Water:
We would like to thank you for your participation in our Recycling ProgramWe are striving everyday to create an environment friendly productWe appreciate your effort in assisting us at ZeroWater to reduce waste and help the environment
In appreciation for your participation, we have provided you a coupo

Approximately months ago we purchased the Zero Water filtration system for our homeOnly a few weeks into it and after following ALL directions the smell and taste of the water was horribleWe went and puchashed another filter at *** *** *** *** where we originally purchased the first oneThey were kind to replace the first one at no cost
Two weeks later the exact same issueOur daughter wasn't feeling well and we can only point to the sour taste that was coming from the waterWe once again ordered two other filters and each and couldn't understand how not even two weeks would go by and the filter would falter?
I emailed Doug K***, the company's CEO and he replied stating that he would look into itI emailed him after trying my best to contact their customer service department that was either not answering or placed into voice mail without any kind or response
MrK*** ** never responded or got back to me and I have since emailed another two times asking

We are sorry that we have been unable to satisfy *** ***. We had previously responded, and are again doing so below, but
have no desire to use the Revdex.com as a continuing forum for this
discussion
1.
We appreciate his concerns but do not agree that our marketing is
misleading and previously responded to this. While reviewing changes to
our web site, we will certainly take his comments into account to ensure that
nobody else would find it confusing
2.
His questions were not removed from our website. They were caught
in the filter because he posted too many in a row
3.
There is no truth to the accusation that our new filter technology
filters less water. Some minor modifications were made years ago improve
flow. His accusation that “greed took over” does not require response as
his accusation of filtering less water is without basis
4.
We cannot respond to his 4th item without any substantive
support for his accusations. His relying on other unsupported postings to
the internet as scientific proof to support his argument are misguided

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is acceptable.Zero Water has confirmed that on the purchase of the 16 replacement filters I have completed over the phone today on 09/26/2016 at 02:20pm, I will only be charged  $79.99 after the $80 discount pertaining to the 16 filters I have sent them. Oder # [redacted]

Worst product ever! If I could give it -200 stars I would. I read about Chromium 6 and was recommended by EPA to buy this pitcher. I thought this would be better for my baby. Like other reviews, after about two weeks of use, I noticed that everything I tasted had a sour taste. At first, I thought it was because of the new tea that I've been drinking. Turned out it was the water. My baby has acid reflux and recently his symptoms were getting worse. I believe that the acidity was always there, the water tasted great in the beginning but whatever the material that's in the filter continuously to release more and more acid over time. It's like being poison little bit at a time. This is ridiculous. Yes it removes all particles and prevent ingestion of cancerous causing chemical but is that any better than getting an ulcer or worse damaging your inner lining from drinking all these acids, how is that any better? Needless to say, I won't be using it but I will also be writing to EPA to remove them from the list and also file a report with the Revdex.com.

We have contacted [redacted] and left a voicemail message regarding resolution of her complaint.   We will issue a $10.00 recycle rebate check and send coupons.

We apologize for not following up.   We would be happy to replace/refund the $30 as they asked for.  What we would like to understand is the quality of the tap water prior to using our filtration. Our filters will reach end of life sooner if the tap water in their area is poor...

vs. national avg with regards to TDS (total dissolved solids) level.  When filters expire, there will be a faint odor, lemony taste which means its time to change it.  The consumer can reach out to C/S and ask for Josh E[redacted] directly to help handle this issue: [redacted]@dakotaperformance.com or call ###-###-####.Sincerely,Tony P[redacted]Marketing Director, Zerowater

ZeroWater
has offered a set of coupons to initial buyers for...

several years and has never
knowingly represented that this was one single coupon on one item. The intent
is to offer a discount on the first several filter re-purchases. We apologize
for the disappointment and hope that the statement on the box and other
literature regarding this coupon offer are very clear. If there is any specific
confusing or inconsistent language, the consumer should provide specifics so we
can improve our communication.
While we strongly
advise users to not use ZeroWater past its point of exhaustion, we’ve not seen
any data to indicate any potential health effects of doing so.  We do not want ZeroWater users to abuse the
filter past the point of exhaustion because, due to the nature of Ion Exchange
technology, it often results in a bad taste to the water, leaving a poor
impression of ZeroWater.  We are purposely
very clear on the need to change the filter when it produces water exceeding 6
PPM (parts per million) of dissolved solids as indicated on the supplied
meter.  We state this on the outside of
the packaging, on literature inside the packaging, on the plastic bag in which
the filter is enclosed and even emboss it in the plastic surface of the water
reservoir where it is filled with tap water.
We incur significant costs in providing either a TDS (total dissolved
solids) meter or TDS indicator with our product in order to allow consumers to know
when to change the filter.  The meter
provides a digital readout of the PPM in the water so the consumer can measure
when it time to change the filter.  The
TDS indicator simply light lights up red when the TDS exceeds the 6PPM level
and the filter should be changed.
Even if a consumer
bypasses all these warnings to change the filter when exhausted, we have no
evidence that there is any danger to drinking this water with a bad taste. While we do not have any evidence that there
is “dumping” of contaminants upon filter exhaustion, even if there were, the
taste would be unpalatable and the meter would have long ago indicated a need
to change the filter, so it is extremely unlikely a user would abuse the filter
that badly.  Certainly, the accusation
that there is a “cocktail of poisons” dumped into the water is completely unfounded
hyperbole.
While there are
some (mostly very old) comments on blogs and sites in regards to this bad taste
being bad for you, there is no basis in fact ever mentioned on these blogs and
sites.  There is a natural decrease in pH
to a slightly more acidic level when the filter is exhausted which can cause a
citrusy taste, and if it is used well past exhaustion, there may be a release
of amino acids that can cause a bad “fishy” taste.  To be clear, the decrease in pH brings the
water nowhere near that of soda or even to many common fruits and vegetables.  These are issues that arise from the completely
different technology that ZW uses to obtain the purest tasting water you can
get…the filter simply MUST be changed when exhausted with this technology.

In response to [redacted]'s complaint...We state in our recycling program that the $10 coupons can only be used one at a time, not all at once.  [redacted] returned and accumulated 8 coupons valued at $10 each that he can use for his next 8 transactions.  He did not like this and is...

requesting a coupon for $80; such a coupon does not exist.  After consideration, we decide to honor his $80 credit off the purchase of a bulk pack of filters values at $159.99.  Below is that correspondence.  We are willing to work with him but since this would be a manual transaction, it needs to be handled over the phone, he states he will only work via email and wants us to send an $80 coupon (again such coupon does not exist).  If he picks up the phone and calls us, he can have his $80 discount (which again is not standard protocol).Sincerely,Anthony P[redacted] ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Customer Service <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Sep 19, 2016 at 8:28 AM Subject: Re: $80 Coupon Code To: [redacted] <[redacted].com> I do not have an $80 coupon code to give you. Our Marketing Manager left a message for the complaintant to return his call to discuss our recycling program and clarify the desired outcome.  As you can see from the attachment, the form was updated in December 2013 to clearly state what the customer will receive when...

returning recycled filters.  This form is on our website.   As our recycling vendor sends a list of customers who returned filters, an acknowledgement letter (copy attached) is sent that details how the customer can obtain and use the recycle code.  A copy of the recycle form is included with the letter.   Will notify you of the outcome once contact is made with the complaintant.

I saw the consumers response but unfortunately, I cannot offer a $30 coupon (it does not exist).  As...

noted, we will honor the $30 credit on their next order but we need to do this manually at the time of the order.  Again, we appreciate the consumer calling customer service when they are ready.  Josh has been notified and is expecting the call.Thank you,Tony P[redacted]

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1.  Their advertising is misleading.  I have attached a screenshot of their website clearly showing a ZeroWater Coupon in small text next to their $30 value claim.2.  They removed five of my posts from their website and did not even address the issue in their response.  Definitely not an honest way to deal with the truth.3.  They did not address the issue of their new filter technology that filters much less water.  People loved the old filter that provided much more pure water for their money.  I guess greed took over.4.  Quote from their response:  "Certainly, the accusation
that there is a “cocktail of poisons” dumped into the water is completely unfounded hyperbole."  Someone on a message board listed a response from the company indicating that the filtered "poison" goes back into the water after TDS reading goes beyond 006.  Either the person posting was lying or the company is lying.  It cannot be both ways.  Therefore; an independent health company should check how much of the filtered and dangerous ingredients go back into the water after TDS reading goes beyond 006.  It is essential for public health.
