Van Horn Mazda Reviews (87)

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Van Horn in May of 2014. The vehicle was used and I was told they had checked the car fax report and that it no accidents on record. Now, it's my fault for not asking to see the car fax report, however, the vehicle was in fact in a reported accident that I was not notified about. In addition, the bigger concern involves the mileage on the car. I was looking to purchase a new vehicle on 4/23/15 and trade in the Sonata I had purchased from Van Horn. It turns out that the title on the car is flagged with a mileage inconsistency. So based on that, I am not able to trade the vehicle in as a dealer is unable to sell the car like that. So it's only worth half of what the resale value is. We are hopeful that the mileage issue is a clerical error and someone keyed the miles in wrong on accident. However, my complaint is that Van Horn knew this was an issue when they sold me the car and they were legally obligated to tell me this.

9/6/2011 - vehicle reported in an accident

3/27/2012 - mileage reported as 7,925

1/16/2013 - mileage reported as 19,303

4/3/2013 - mileage reported as 15,644

4/28/14 - mileage reported as 21,872

Van Horn purchased the car at auction in 4/28/14. So the mileage issue was reported and flagged on the title before they sold it to me in May of 2014.

We've attempted to contact the sales person, Fred, who sold me the car several times to discuss this and he doesn't return our phone calls.Desired Settlement: I want them to do the work to clear the mileage issue off of the car fax report, which would allow me to trade it in and purchase a new car. They should never have been able to sell me the car with it flagged as inconsistent mileage reported to begin with. If they are unable to do so, the car is worth half of what they sold it to me for. If that's the case, they need to buy it back from me for what I owe the bank for it yet.

Re: [redacted]

This letter is in response to [redacted] referencing

several facts about her auto purchase from our dealership. All issues have been

resolved and we have found a suitable solution for the [redacted] family and they

are now enjoying their new vehicle.

General Manager

Review: I have made numerous attempts to contact the sales person who sold me my car and extended warranty. When I finally reached him by phone and told him I did not want to keep the extended warranty he

said he would have someone else call and talk to me , no one called back that day. The next day I called and asked for the general manager and was told he was in meeting and left a message on

his voice mail and did not receive a call back. The extended warranty contract states that the cancellation needs be done at the dealer in first 60 days to receive the full amount back. After the

60 days the refund will be pro-rated.Desired Settlement: I want the full refund of $2000.00 since it has been only 7days since purchase and I would also like the second set of keys that were found at the dealership.

[redacted],

The staff at Van Horn are great to work with. They are honest, dependable and always have a smile on their case. Love the lounge also.

I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation. I was charged accordingly at the end, however upon approaching my vehicle I noticed that I didn't think the tires had been touched. I reentered the service area, asked if they had rotated them and after some conversation, turns out that they hadn't - they had forgotten. Funny how they didn't forget to charge me! After an additional wait time, they eventually rotated the tires.

Service was wonderful and staff was great.

I am well pleased with the service I received at vanhorn hyundai in sheboygan.I feel I received good service and a good deal on my car.I want to thank [redacted] the salesman that worked with me!

Very sincere and easy to work with, completed asked for service and recommend further service.
