I found 1A Auto online through a Google search and they had the part I wanted for a relatively cheap price so I placed the order....
I was astonished to find that they had tried to charge my card 4 times for the same order however, I contacted them, and one of the orders was canceled, and the other 2 were supposed to drop off as pending charges on the account, which I will have to wait to see as this all hapopened in the last hour

24-48 hours for a refund and still waiting after 4 days, on the 3rd day supposedly the system froze and I was not notified of this. Now I have to wait another 24-48 hours for my refund! This is unacceptable as a company to not notified the customer of the system malfunction. If I did not call or check my bank account, no one would have notify me of this system error. Sounds fish how this company want to hold my money and not return my refund that they have taken out of my bank account. Obliviously there are training issues with management and communication error that needs to be address immediately. I received my parts way before my refund, this is a joke! I would never order from this company again with the lack of response and unprofessional ethics.

I purchased some struts from 1Aauto and I had them installed. the result was the car sat about 4 inches low in the front. I inform the company about the issue and I was told to submit pictures to my car along with my Vin number. Long story short, They came to a conclusion that the car look the same as the other pictures on the Internet and so they would not exchange the defective parts.

Complaint1a auto Next day air delivery information that cost a whopping $35 is misleading and false. I ordered a fuel pump at 11:30am on Friday 8/28. They claim if ordered by 5pm it'll be shipped same day. The 3 shipping choices are.. Free ground shipping and receive in 3-5 days...$15 two shipping and receive in two days or $35 next day air which should be received the NEXT DAY.. Well that's not true. After I ordered it and they take my money they then emailed me stating that I'll get it the next (BUSINESSES DAY) NOT THE NEXT DAY. If I had know I'd still have to wait 3 days I wouldn't have paid for the fictitious (NEXT DAY AIR) FOR $35 DOLLARS..it's misleading and its a lie..Desired SettlementRefund my $35 non (NEXT DAY AIR) FEEBusiness Response Hello, Although Next Day is delivered in business days our website is not very clear on this and we will address that. I will go ahead and reimburse Mr. [redacted] his $35.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I returned a part and was told I would receive a full refund the day they received it. I saw they received it, and I called and they say they haventI purchased a Timing chain tensioner for my car from 1a autos websight. Upon receiving the product, my father in law, a mechanic for over 32 years, installed the part, and the part was not up to par with mopar products. The spring inside the tensioner did not have enough strength to keep the timing chain from slacking. So, upon this news, I decided to email a return request to them. I ended up calling due to them only offering to send me another part. my father in law had already ordered on from mopar for us, so I just wanted to return it. The man on the phone was pleasant and had told me I would get call tags to send back in the part, and upon receiving the part back from me, I would receive a full refund. I tracked the package and saw they did indeed receive it on may 29th. I decided on the 30th to call and make sure they did get it, the woman informed me she did not see it in on the computer they received it, and then informed me they take a long time to process. The man I talked to last week on the phone told me, the day they receive it, I would get a refund and it just just take 2-3 days to see it on my statement. So I have two completely different stories, and also, they fact they are saying they have not received the part back, is alarming to me, when I know in fact they did. I sitll have the tracking info, and rechecked, delivered the 29th around 9 am.Desired SettlementI would like to be refunded as promised. And, I do not want to wait forever, as I was promised the day they received it, a full refund.Business Response Hello,This was refunded within reasonable expectations during a holiday week. We are closed weekends, as well as Memorial Day. All refunds are processed within 24-48 from submittal and can take 2-3 days to reflect upon the customer's original credit/debit card, PayPal or checking account.Complaint unsubstantiated.Consumer Response We ended up getting the reimbursement. I called and they informed me they did in fact reimburse us. 2-3 business days.

I ordered a part that I needed in 3 days and was told by a rep that I was all set. I was shipping it to one address but billing to another. In an effort to "help" me, the order was flagged for fraud and put on hold due to the address conflict and it didn't ship. By the time I realized it, I needed the part in 1.5 days. I was told that the delay would cause me to miss my window for receipt of the part. Adam from 1A Auto pulled out all the stops, had hands physically put on the part in a local warehouse and got the part to me the next day - within my window for repairing my car. This was customer service at its best. Thank you Adam and thank you 1A Auto. Great job, much appreciated!

I ordered a brake kit from 1a auto off of ebay and when I got them installed these made me truck vibrate to where I almost lost control.I bought a rear brake drum kit from 1A Auto off of ebay and they said they were ready for install. Me being a mechanic in the US Army and a buddy that is certified to install brakes put them on and for like 2 days they were fine on the city streets. I had to drive into work and when I merged off of the highway ans started to slow down my vehicle shook violently to where I almost crashed my truck. I then took it into Lew Schwab and hasd a brake inspections done on them and they told me that me rear brake drums weren't properly machined well and that was causing them to vibrate. So I needed my truck back to be able to go to work and had them machine them which costed me $93.12. After I got ahold of 1A Auto and talked to them for about the past three days a lady name [redacted] told me that since they weren't installed by a real mechanic they could only give me half of the money back. I feel this is a low ball and I only wanted the price of the resurfacing back not the full price that I paid for them which was over $160 for the whole kit. While I was talking to [redacted] she started to get rude and telling me that there is nothing else they can do since they weren't installed by a mechanic which they were but I don't have proof. I think they just wanted to get this done and in a rush to complete this and this is very disrespectful since I could have sued them if I was to get into a car accident with there product on my truck and not being able to stop properly. All I wanted was the resurfacing fee back thats all. I bought these back on 21 May 2014 through ebay using paypal. The problems started on 4 June XXXX X days after they were installed and I had them resurfaced on 6 June 2014.Desired SettlementI am just wanting the $93.12 back for the resurfacing fee of having to get ready for installation parts fixed. They are only going to give me back half.Business Response Hello,Customer will receive a refund up to his original purchase price. No further action is necessary. Since we already are in process of refunding $46.56, we will now process further an additional $113.84, this will equal to a full refund of the original purchase price of $160.40 this will reflect on the customers original form of payment within 3-5 business days. This action in no way infers we are at fault, but dictates a care and concern for our customers to be fully satisfied.Thank you

Install new wheel bearings. Drove 400 miles on vacation and the bearing came apart damaging other parts. Company will not handle this matterInstalled the parts just before vacation. Drove 400 miles and the wheel bearing came apart. Had to have bearing, brakes and spindle replaced due to failure. Sent pictures to 1A of the complaint and then the failed parts. They are now not responding to email. They cost me a larger amount of money on 4th of July weekend and have been incredibly slow to handle this matter. The $40 part cost me $1600 in hotel, rental, towing and repairs. Not to mention the lost work day. Installed june 30th and failed July 3rd in [redacted], 400 miles from home.Desired SettlementI would like the cost of my repairs taken care of. As well as the hotel and rental car.Business Response We apologize for any inconvenience caused, however we have been actively investigating this issue and have provided continuous updates on the matter. We informed the customer that in order to investigate this claim, we would need to physically inspect the parts that he stated caused damage to his vehicle. The customer stated that he disposed of the parts and could not return them, but later said they were in transit back to us. The parts that were supplied to us are the spindle, 1 brake rotor, parking brake shoes, springs, and bearing races. By inspecting the spindle, it is evident there was uneven load applied as evident by the excessive wear on the outer portion of the spindle. This is also backed up by the diagnostic report on the invoice the customer provided to us, which was done by [redacted] ([redacted] Dealership). When inspected, the wheel was wobbling and the bearing was falling apart. From SKF's torque guide: Under torque of an axle nut will allow excessive movement causing uneven loading and excessive wear. Over torque of the axle nut will cause excessive load and cause the bearing to overheat, this is one of the most common causes for failures. The customer informed us that he installed the part himself, that he reused the original axle nut and that it was torqued to 100 ft/ lbs. SKF's torque specification guide states a new axle nut is required and to be torqued to 203 ft/ lbs. This statement alone confirms the proper installation procedure was not followed. Since the customer stated they cannot provide the hub, our Product Development team cannot investigate the claim of a defective part. We would need to be able to identify the product and have it inspected for defects. This is unfortunately impossible to do without the actual product and we are unable to proceed further. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)1A auto did all in their power to avoid making this right. In cluding tell me the torque was incorrect. That I received fro a [redacted] dealer in my home town. Then said that all parts were not returned. Well I was 400 miles from home on vacation. We were lucky to get all but 1 piece. Then said the nut was the cause and it was still torqued to the axle shaft when I had it towed to the [redacted] dealer.I reused all 4 nuts on the original repair. The vehicle has 2250 miles since we got it fixed with no issues. This was a faulty part and they refuse to handle like a REPUTABLE company would. I would avoid this awful company at all cost!!!Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I stated that it was a rear wheel bearing that failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a front bearing!!!!!!!!!! I ordered all parts from them. I sent pictures!!!! I was 400 miles from home and was lucky to have gotten all the parts that I did from the repair facility, 2 weeks after the repair was completed. All due to the SLOW response of this company. They are now lying and refuse to do the right thing.Final Business Response What the customer purchased was a Front Wheel Bearing & Hub Assembly, which is what he indicated failed and caused damage to his vehicle. What was returned to 1A Auto were parts that had related damage, which we cannot use for a proper diagnoses or return to the manufacturer. What we needed the customer to return were the parts that were purchased from 1A Auto. The customer stated via phone and email that the original axle nut was used for installation and that it was torqued to 100 ft/ lbs. Improper installation can and will cause premature failure. Unfortunately, not being able to inspect the parts, we are unable to proceed further.

I was referred to 1Aauto by a friend who highly recommended them based on his experience with them in the past. I needed a part for my car which was actually more expensive from these guys, but going off of my friends claim, I ordered it from them anyway. I was going to be leaving on a trip the following week and based on their "item in stock ships in 2-3 business days" based on my zip code for this item I figured that would be good timing. And so I did not select 2 day shipping for extra money because of their instock shipping. When I did not receive the item on the third day I inquired them by their online chat. Jessica said that she would relay the message about the 2-3 business day problem but said that there was nothing they could do. I asked for a discount/credit of $32.00 which was the difference between their price and the part store I should have bought it from. She said "NO" because they already gave me free shipping and I should have ordered 2 day if I really needed it. I told her I would have if I hadn't been lead to believe it would be here in 2-3 days! I will not be purchasing from these guys again and I will be letting my friend know of how this purchase went. I am now having to borrow a car for my trip. For a company that states "Satisfaction guarateed" and that we take pride in our customer service, sure failed this time!

1a was very helpful in helping me with my repairs. I am inexperienced and ordered the wrong part, and when I called they not only gave me a refund, but helped me find out what part I need and sent me that one. The customer service was phenomenal.

I bought a set of Fuel injectors for my 2001 Dodge Ram pickup with a motor that only had 10,000 miles on it I installed them and it destroyed my motorFuel Injector Kit Set of 8 5.2L for Dodge Durango Ram 1500 Van Full Size V8 order details Item # XXXXXXXXXXXXFuel Injector Kit Set of 8 5.2L for Dodge Durango Ram 1500 Van Full Size V8 Seller:Member idwww.1aautomotive.comItem condition: NewPayment date: May-13-15Actual delivery: May-19-15On May 23rd I installed the fuel injectors in my truck. I took my truck out for a ride with my family and went to see a friend. Truck ran fine all the way out there and on the way back it started to buck and shake having my 2 year old very scared. The check engine light came on I was about 2 miles from home, I had to get my family home. As soon as I got home I put the code reader on it, and it told me the number one back was running rich, and misfire in cylinder1 check all connection cleared code started it back up. I pulled into the garage as I pulled it in and I heard a loud bang and motor shut off. I took out the number one spark plug and gas just poured out of the cylinder, pulled the rest of the plug and turned the motor to get all the gas out. I drained the oil which had gas in it, as well as the filter and refilled the oil and pulled the number. I pulled the number one injector and found that all of the inside of the injector was missing, the internal pieces of the injector had gone inside my cylinder number 1. It was just a empty unit dumping gas in to my number one cylinder. the number one piston is cracked because of all the fuel in the motor. It hydro locked the cylinder causing the piston damage. I have had to buy other tools to check inside the motor, the company kept telling me not to take the engine apart. So I bought a Bore Scope to look inside the motor, and that is how I found the cracked piston. I have been in contact with the company and their offer was for me to take the truck to a reputable company to have the engine diagnosed. For us to have to pay for the tow to the mechanic, for us to have them service the engine, for us to pay for the repairs, and to send all the receipts back to the company where they MIGHT refund the money that we paid for the new engine and labor costs. They stated that they will not pay for any of the diagnostic work, the head gasket, any work that has already been performed on the truck.I am a certified mechanic and they will not allow me to diagnose my own vehicle.I have three children, 2 are disabled, one has cancer, the other Autism and then we have a 2 year old. We spend time driving the children back and forth to school, back and forth to the hospital, and to over 10 specialists. My wife and I have to split our time because of the number of specialists the children see. We do not have this kind of money laying around for someone to say they MIGHT pay it back due to their faulty product. They have asked me to return all their injectors so that they can send it back to the manufacturer so the manufacturer can make the decision if they will reimburse me. If I am to send these injectors back I would have to pay a higher fee for shipping because now since they were in the engine, they have gas in them now causing the injectors to be hazardous material. The only person that I have been able to contact with the company, Brain [redacted], he is supposedly a ASE Certified Tech, he is informing me that the pinnal tip that was in the injector, could NOT cause this kind of damage. He said that it more likely bent the rod to the piston. Without being able to take the engine completely apart, we cannot fully see the entire damage has been done.Desired SettlementSettlement that would be acceptable. Towing my truck and paying for the tow to the reputable mechanic that they choose. Pay for all diagnostic work. Them paying for a new engine to be placed in my truck, as well as all labor performed on my truck IMMEDIATELY. To be reimbursed for the 8 fuel injectors that I purchased from them IMMEDIATELY. As well as them to pay me back for the new spark plugs, spark plug wires, Bore Scope, Oil, Oil Filter and any other items that I purchased to try to repair my truck. Also a cash settlement for the stress this has caused on myself and my family, being that we have had to ask others to help with rides to the many appointments that we deal with on a daily basis. This has caused so much mental and emotional stress on myself, as well as the children, being in the vehicle, having to experience this. My autistic daughter is now afraid to go in a vehicle, she is afraid the same thing will happen again. My 2 year old daughter has a similar response when she is in a vehicle at this point to. Luckily my 15 year old son is able to handle this stuff. Please help us.Business Response At this moment we are working with the customer and evaluating the situation. We are also waiting for the parts that we sold and were identified by the customer as the ones that caused damage to arrive here for further review. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They know there is major damage to the whole entire motor that needs to be replace it. It there faulty part that did this damage the motor, plus the new fuel injectors is over 3000 dollars in part alone that does not cover any labor to have the motor installed or the new injectors this is money I don't have they told that they will not pay for towing to a shop Nor will they pay for the motor to be diagnosed they want me to spend my money and have stated they might cover towing, they might cover the diagnostic. I have already spent money to replace parts they said could be a problem I have sent them pictures of the damage inside the motor, that was obtained by a bore scope which I had to buy at the cost of over 100 Dollars plus a crank sensorFinal Consumer Response I have returned all injectors back to 1A Auto. They have stated that there injector did fail. I think the least that the company should do is pay for a set of injectors for my truck which would be the sum of $820 from the dodge dealer. Because they have told me that they would not pay for a aftermarket set of injectors. I am still left with the cost of a engine. I have provided them with all the information I could give them. The company is aware that they have faulty parts. I am sure, I am not the only one that has gotten faulty part from them. Final Business Response We've received the requested documentation from the customer and currently reviewing all of the information provided We will contact the customer with an update as soon as possible.

I ordered a transmission linkage cable for my GMC Envoy due to the original cable bound up and broke not expectantly. To make matters worse none of the major parts chain had the part and the local dealership wanted 150.00 just for the cable. I got on the internet and of course it searches car id, parts train, partsgeek, rock auto, ebay ect. then I ot on youtube and trailvoy forums and going back and forth and seen Mike [redacted] from 1aauto putting himself+technician working on cars like the average joe drives with torque specs and tools to complete the job the shopping experience was good also shipping was super quick with no damage with the exact oem cable so thank you

I have used 1A Auto for all repair needs relating to my wife's 2001 Ford Taurus SES and my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. All parts were as described and received in a short time. I have never had an issue with parts orders and have called to discuss parts for my Jeep on occasion.

I ordered my parts for my 2004 ford explorer on the 24th and here it is the 27th and already got all my part L's will never use any one else again super cheap and enerything in great shape only thing that could use some upgrade is the packaging other than that no complaints
