Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: on each return to aamco I insisted that the problem with the transmission existed, it was not until June that the same problem was acknowledged by the businessI was given an excuse each time and the other problems listed including exhaust and problem codes were none of their concern, they were not why I brought the truck in to themThe fee that was "waived" is irrelevant because it was warranty work that would have cost me nothing if they fixed the problem the first time I brought it inThe fact that the transmission problem existed in 2014, two months after the initial repair, but was not fixed until two years later is negligent on the part of the businessThey refused to provide warranty work for two yearsFurthermore, I had another yearly checkup in April of which was not documented in their systemFluids were checked at that time. I told the clerk at the counter all the information and that there were brake pads in the back seatThe Groupon wasn't for a brake inspection, it was for brake service.? It clearly stated that it included brake pads and turning of the rotorsThe rotors mic'd out as able to be turned (as inspected by another).? That wasn't an option even provided.? Brake inspections are free just about everywhere.? I do not accept this responseIt is clear that this company is only bringing in customers to over charge for servicesI understand that I will not get anywhere with this companyI will be sure and tell everyone I know of my poor experience Sincerely, [redacted]

Thank you for your call and Revdex.com reply to my response.My apologies I have been out of the office and could notcall the other day between 3:00pm and 5:00pm as requested I would liketo setup a time to chat with you What is convenient for you?As stated in my previous response, the transmission is stillunder warranty and can be brought to an alternate AAMCO if you are notcomfortable coming to the Renton AAMCO The other AAMCO locations in thisarea will accept the warranty we providedMy statement was that a part likely failed over time sinceit had been driven 8,miles, without the vehicle, I obviously cannot andwould not attempt to diagnose it In addition, we have checks andbalances in place Everything stops at the builder If he deemsthere is nothing wrong, the unit is then reassembled at no charge Hewill resign before he installs anything not appropriate Not only can weshow the process exists, but we can also show, while very infrequently, thishas happened in the past and the unit reassembled at no charge to the customer.I am sincerely sorry for your experience and wish to getyour vehicle taken care of under our warranty and as quickly as possibleOther AAMCO locations nearby that you can bring your vehicle to would be AAMCOAuburn, AAMCO Puyallup or AAMCO Seattle.Sincerely,Louise B [redacted]

I understand [redacted] 's frustration with her husband’s vehicle taking longer than expected to be fixed, and we are truly sorry for thatAs we mentioned before, our technician went above and beyond given our challenging situation to repair the vehicle as fast as he could and with no additional charge .Sometimes our technicians fully expect to be done by a specific time and then get caught up with something unexpectedI am sure he intended to be done on time and unfortunately got caught up and forgot to callWe sincerely apologize for the inconvenienceWith transmissions, when we fix an issue, often times another issue presents itselfIt’s frustrating for the client, but it cannot be helpedIt’s simply the nature of the business. Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Aamco already refused to honor the warranty work stating my transmission was fine and my transfer case is bad their exact words "your transfer case is bad" I have this in their estimate how much more would I spend on a bad transfer case luckily I met Ed at *** *** who is currently addressing the issue of the valve body and communication problems as I stated before when I got the truck back it had the same issues and just got worse also you stated that another part over time even though still under warranty went bad how did you come up with that new diagnosis with out having the truck and when u did have the truck towed to you, you stated transmission was fine and transfer case was bad so after a lot of money no satisfaction and failed diagnosis admitted by you I have zero faith that I would have any other outcome according to case law and the attorney general if I can prove what I have said I am do a full refund good thing their are lots of other shops involved and everything is documented you won't have the opportunity to get this guy you can refund my money or do it after court with attorney fees yours and mine also added in tow bills and high line electric who knows maybe even time loss and duress.Sincerely,*** ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The first time I brought my Jeep Wrangler to the AAMCO in Phoenix (on * *** ***) was March 27,They did not fix the transmission problems and since then I have had to bring it back four times.They said they had identified the problem and could fix itI paid them $2,to repair the Jeeps transmissionWhen the car was brought in for the first t ime, it had one or two codes that they told me were related to the transmissionAfter the last time they attempted to fix it, they informed me that it now has engine codes along with the two remaining transmission codesI contacted someone at the corporate office named ***He told me that he was going to follow up with contacting the shop and resolve the issueI still have not heard from himIt has been a week since I dropped off the car for the fourth timeWe have been forced to rent a carIf AAMCO cannot solve this issue (that I have paid for) I demand you fix it or find a shop/dealership that is capable of doing so.I have already consulted my attorney about this issueI recommended by family to use AAMCO and wanted to give you the option to make this situation rightIf not, I will pursue legal action, write reviews online, report you to the Revdex.com and contact the local news stations.Regards,*** ***

This code was not part ofthe original issue with the transmission and given the car has been driven8,miles, a part likely failed over time. Dear *** * We did perform a transmission rebuild on Ms.*** *** vehicle in March of It is customary for AAMCO to offer at least two options when a customer needs to have their transmission fixed: a transmission rebuild or remanufactured transmissionThe rebuild is often less
expensive because we replace only the parts that are damaged or worn out and clean the parts that are still in good shapeA remanufactured transmission is typically twice the cost of a rebuild and comes with a 3-year warrantyAccording to our records, Ms*** purchased a transmission rebuild from us at the cost of $3,We do not show that she opted for the extended warranty, and it did not appear on her receiptHad she paid for it, we would have had record of itOne other item to note, she never brought her car in for the annual inspection which would have been required for her to keep her warranty in good standing had she purchased oneIt is not uncommon for people to forget what they purchasedWe understand how frustrating it can be. In general, customers that purchased this coupon saved approximately 50% on the repairs. Should the customer decide not to proceed with recommended repairs then the coupon is accepted for the inspection service.
