Academy Air was contacted for service by Ms. [redacted]. When we went out to the client’s home, Mr. [redacted] was on site.  The technician found the compressor to be noisy and the system to be low on refrigerant. We presented the options to the client. Our primary recommendation was to have a Comfort...

Advisor come out and give the client an estimate to replace the system. The client declined this option. We next told the client that we could add refrigerant to the system to try to get temporary cooling, but that there was no guarantee on how long the cooling would last as there is a leak in the system. The client chose to go with this option, but while adding the refrigerant had our technician stop after only two pounds. It was noted that this did not bring the system up to proper charge.  The client stated that he would call our office if he wanted to get an estimate for a new air conditioner, but that he needed to talk to his wife first. Since this day, we have offered the client the following without being aware of this Revdex.com complaint. We have offered to come back out and check the system at no charge to the client. The client declined this offer. We have offered to come back and give the client a free estimate on the replacement of the air conditioner.  The client declined having our Comfort Advisor out as well.  In addition, we have sent the client a partial refund. When we spoke with the client on July 19th, she indicated that she was satisfied with the partial refund and understood the charges. A copy of the invoice was mailed to her on that day. At this time, we feel that the matter has been resolved with the client however we are still open to discussing the matter further if needed.

The technicians at Academy Air were very professional and friendly. I was very pleased with their service. In addition, when the county inspector came out and inspected the installation he told me they do quality work and he never has any issues with their work. I believe I made the right choice in selecting Academy Air for my new heating and cooling system.

Carlos Lardizabal performed a pre-season air-conditioning maintenance on my two systems. He did a very thorough job and provided detailed documentation that my systems were operating properly.

I have done business with this company for many years, and have always been very satisfied. Their technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The most recent service call was this week for the pre-winter furnace check-up, and this technician was especially helpful and thorough. I have purchased heating, air conditioning, humidifying and air cleaning systems from them at least twice over the years, and used their check-up services twice a year for decades. I highly recommend Academy Air--in fact, I have.
