Acorn Stairlifts, Inc. Reviews (119)

I don't know how acorn stays in business .Taking advantage of elderly helpless people. It's like buying a car from dealer soon as it leaves the lot not only does depreciate but the dealer doesn't care what happens to you or your car their hands are washed ,infact they don't want to know you. I'm sure I'm the only one with this story because I saw reviews that were negative but true. It all sounded to familiar to my experience with acorn. I have issues with my chair ever since day one .service men would have to come every other week because the chairlift stopped working. I bought an extended warranty(thank God) as I'm an 88 year old woman living in my home alone .I have gotten stuck at the top of the stairs not knowing what to do as I was panicking thinking that I was falling out of the chair (scary feeling/helpless) last year I have complaints but not as many as this year . Servicemen have been to my house several times . The chair just keeps getting worse ,more problems. I feel like I got a lemon of a chair. The most current service call was done two days ago .the servicemen came spent 2.5 hours fixing it worked the next day then the chairliftt just shut down. (Mind you he was here Friday chairlift died on sat) I called the service number they said to try shutting off the key and pushing another button underneath the chair . It didn't work .nevertheless. I was stranded they told me that I had to wait till the following day to get a serviced. Not only the next day but late in the afternoon. I don't understand a company that deals with such an important necessity for elderly and handicapped people would not have a service men come to fix it(it was an emergency) A corn should forecast and foresee such problems and be able to help its customers .regardless of time and day .customers service needs to be trained professionally as they were rude. And hung up on me not once but twice . Infact one customer service didn't even give me a chance to tell my story she kept asking me if I paid the servicemenAnd started to get nasty then hung up me. However there was one customer service rep that was helpful . I got a great deal of run around and nothing done .cant believe this help those who have just bought an acorn chairlift

Quick response/Easy to understand/phone safe & easy to use/Peace of mind friendly, courteous, clean, polite, respectful of us & our home. Easy to understand the information/explanation of product/stairlift- No pressure in buying the product- thoroughly explained every step we needed to know about use of stairlift and history of the company & the process of how to purchase Acorn Stairlift- Affordable/We felt safe with Mike & Jorge in our home.

Acorn Stairlift is an excellent product and we have had no issues with it at all. It does it's job. My son would not be able to go to the basement to do his laundry without it. It allows him to be independent.
Dan E[redacted] was the tech that service our Acorn. He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

Sales & installer top notch.

Love it!

Just had one chairlift in yesterday and so rather new experience but we will really enjoy it. Real safety measure for both of us. Been rather hard for me since my stroke 3 years ago. My friend gave me a good report on her purchase a couple months ago. Would really like for her to get $200.00 for the referral for us. The fellow who put ours in yesterday was outstanding.

The installation was excellent. However, when I first contacted Acorn just for information, I was followed by a flurry of almost daily calls and several letters which turned us off from ordering for many months. On each call I asked the person not to call. But the calls persisted. I began to screen the calls. Behavior like this needs to be stopped.

[redacted] was an indoor stairlift. I had many problems, 2 service calls and a third one. Cost us $500 plus batteries. Acorn replaced the stairlift for an outdoor one. Thank you. It is so important we have the chair.

Only installed 2 hours ago.

So far it has been an excellent way for my son in law to be a regular part of the family when he visits.

He no longer has to stay in one confined area.

It is fantastic!!

Installer was very informative and helped us make proper adjustments!

Husband bought 3 years ago (2013). He used it because of lung disease. I used it because of arthritis in knees. He died 5 months later. I got cancer, chemo kicked my butt so I used it. Then survived cancer. Had 2 knee replacements beginning of 2016. Used it then and now. Just love it!! Was recommended by my Uncle. They had one cause my Aunt couldn't walk very much. Like me, laundry in basement.

We have a very bad experience with Acorn stairlift. The chair gets stuck and there is no support from the company. Only after three weeks of installation the company wanted $200 to come and fix the problem. At that time we figured out ourselves that the problem was very old batteries in the "new" remotes. Now the chair is stuck downstairs, the only one technician in WA state is no where to be found, no phone number on record, and the company says you can get him only by "wire" whatever that is. Our suggestion is not to do business with this company.

We were very impressed with the enthusiasm and knowledge of the sales and installation personnel. Dan, our installer, was very prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He didn't leave until he was sure we fully understood and were comfortable with the use of the stairlift. We've only had the unit a couple of days but we used it a number of times and are very pleased to finally have access to our lower level.

Professionable.

Very professional, everything promised came to satisfactory conclusion.

Sales rep & tech very good in their job.

I am very please with the Acorn Starlift. The salesman was very polite and professional. Life has never been so great, it was torture trying to get up and down the stairs. My wife has terrible osteoarthritis. She loves it. We will be telling everyone about it. Excuse the writing arthritis is in my hands s well. God bless you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

When I placed my initial inquiry call, an in home appt. was set up to my satisfaction. Our sales person Jerry F[redacted] presented the product and program well. We were able to commit to the Acore Stairlift 130 within 2 days, after a successful negotiation. Installation was set up within a week, and install tech was even a little early for his appt. Terrific! Dustin W[redacted] was professional, genial, worked set up out side to minimize noise & clean up Install went without a hitch and his paperwork was completed, except for a 30 min. delay money getting approval from our credit card company.

So far excellent.

The woman I talked to set up an appointment was very helpful and friendly. The salesman was very helpful and friendly, also and very patient. I was very pleased with the whole experience.
