I have been living @ [redacted] since 8/25/moving here has been nothing but a hassle especially having a year old son… As I look back from the beginning everything was offAs soon as you pull into the expensive complex you can see sheets and comforters from where people have used them to cover up broken blinds I was not satisfied that most tenants had gates on their fenced in patio whereas I didn’t being a single mom and wanting more securityI was told by the property manager’s daughter that they would locate me one and they never didSince then my mother has called several times regarding that issue, because she witnessed kids staring in my houseThis leads to another issue where my blinds do not cover my whole back window, so in my ungated backyard people can peak into my townhome…My son’s room also has no outlet cover and I’ve advised several times regarding that even leaving a note on the door when I was supposed to have an inspection in OctoberI always noticed that the toilet in the bath always acted as if it was stopped up and released slowI didn’t think much of it being it’s just my son and I there and we just would avoid using the ½ bathIn my upstairs bathroom I could always smelled faint sewage from time to timeTwo weeks before Christmas the toilet in the half bath overflowed I called maintenance and they came and mopped On December 31st the toilet overflowed yet again I had to clean the mess being it was the holiday but maintance was still informed Friday January 1stThe maintenance came 1/2/I noticed someone had been in my home and fidgeted with the toilet, but once I flushed it to make sure on 1/3/it overflowed… I ran to my neighbor’s house where I noticed the maintenance man stays there asking could I speak with him it was an emergencyI asked my neighbor to come take a look at it and he said “I’m not sure why they moved you into this apartment same man of your kind left, because home has too many issues.” He said he will get in contact with the maintenance man being he would not understand meThe following week they left a note on my door disclaiming they are having sewage problems and to not use to much waterI was left no notifications on whether a professional cleaning company came and what the diagnoses wasAll I know is that I did not want to use the bathroom downstairsMonday I heard a loud noise I ran to the bathroom and saw dark black coal looking sewage slowing rising…by the time I ran upstairs to get my son I heard and smelled the sewage overflowI immediately called emergency maintenance and left a voicemailI had to move fast to get myself and yr old out of the house because the smell was starting to bother meI returned home early from work to still smell sewage and still see reminisces of sewage on the floor and behind my sectionalIn the kitchen I found a note that stated… “Please don’t put nothing but toilet paper down the toilet we pulled out a bunch of goodies.” That to me was derogatory and I felt discriminated against being I’m a single black woman I went to the rental office where the property manager was located and stated that they needed to come back and clean the townhome b/c it was half done and not cleaned in a sanitary mannerShe nodded and said as far as rent and insurance to contact Tina [redacted] 1-711-I’ve called and Monday 1/25/since 3pm Adara Communites left voice messages and no response… This is unacceptable how is it me being in this townhome not even six months cause all this sudden sewage damage when I’ve been told that [redacted] has always had issues

I moved into Trinity Place Apartments in Middletown, OH around March 1, Approximately weeks ago I contacted the office about my air conditioner not working properlyAfter contacting them multiple times without any promised returned calls, I called today, 5/7/and was told that was A/C was on the list to be fixedAfter coming home from work today, 5/7/I found a memo on my kitchen counter stating that my A/C was fixedI must point out that someone entered my apartment without my consent as the young lady that works in the office informed me that no one needed to be present while it was being fixedAfter talking to the maintenance man later, he accused me of telling him in the hallway that he could enter my apartment at any timeI do not recall ever making that statementThe maintenance man, when I met him the hall on a previous date apologized profusely and stated that the part was in, but didnt declare a date of completionThat being said, my A/C is still not workingI called the office and told the young lady about what was happeningShe stated that she would call me backInstead a very discourteous and unprofessional maintenance man called me back and stated that it had to be degrees for them to come outIts degrees outsideAccording to Ohio Renters Rights, ALL major appliances must be in working order at all timesAfter ending the call with the maintenance person, I called the office again, whose hours state that they are open until 6pm EST I called at 5:50pm and no one would answerThen I called the corporate numberAnother young lady stated that I would be called back by the district managerIm still waitingMy apartment is muggy and warmI have high blood pressure and sleep apnea and refuse to be treated with such an ignoring attitudeWhile I have been a resident here for a short time, I have kept my end of the rental agreementI adopted a cat, paid the required deposit and pay monthly pet rentI have paid on or before the 1st of each monthIm sure that a portion of my rent paid is paid toward maintenance and the use of my air conditioner; both of which I am not satisfied
