Advanced Background Checks Reviews (221)

We have reviewed our files and found that we do in fact have an opt out on file regarding your listing. Today we have submitted a request to remove one additional listing. Please allow 24-48 hours for this to reflect online. Feel free to let us know if your information still appears on our...

site after this time. We recommend contacting us directly regarding this and providing the URL where the listing still appears. Public records are collected from thousands of sources. Here are a few examples:Supermarket Rewards Cards: Every time anyone makes a purchase from a grocery store or drugstore with a loyalty or "rewards" card, that information is used to build a very personal profile of your shopping habits. Product Warranty and Registration Cards: Do you fill out the warranty and product registration cards for every new product you purchase? If so, you probably assume this is standard procedure for making sure your warranty is valid. In fact, warranty and product registration cards do very little for the consumer. Moreover, all your personal information on warranty cards is collected and used for marketing purposes. Raffles and Sweepstakes: Though raffles and sweepstakes offer a one-in-a-million chance of winning some type of luxury item, free gym memberships or dream vacations you should be aware how your contact information is used. Often, you are asked to proved Name, address and phone number as a means of contacting you in the event you should win. In reality, this information is used for direct marketing purposes. You do not always have to enter a raffle or surf the Internet for someone to collect personal data about you. In fact, many of the activities and responsibilities you have as a member of society, property owner and licensed driver contribute to what is known as your "Public Profile." Other sources include voter registration, hunting and fishing licenses, magazine subscriptions and much more.We have suppressed your information again as of today; however, anytime you publicly report your information to companies and organizations, this information may be updated in public record databases and therefore will return results when doing a search for public record files. If you see your name appear on our site you will need to notify us so we can remove it.

I am rejecting this response because:it validates my complaint rather than showing the company as a company that will value peoples privacy. In 2014, this is a big deal. Given every other website of this genre removes stuff online,  it is pretty easy to tell they are making it hard on the people whose info they are selling.

I am rejecting this response until the following information is removed from their website. [redacted]

The URL is listed on [redacted] is [redacted].  I provided this to the business.I provided the URL from the [redacted] search as well, which is [redacted]
Thank you for your help!

I am rejecting this response because:First of all it is not a "courtesy" to remove private and shameful information about a person who has committed no crimes and never harmed anyone. Yu have set up a culture where people do not even want to register to vote and are punished for doing good things such as participating in society. Despite the legality it is really unethical. Also the lack of transparency as to where the "public" information comes from is abusive. After a timely but worthwhile search it os clear the information ultimately comes from credit check compaies such as [redacted] and [redacted] then through the next layer such as Merlin data to be purchased by companies such as yourselves. When people request clarity it should be given so they can freeze accounts at places such as [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because: the company want adressed, but it was great of them to verify my every word.  The reply was a rehash of my complaint.
