My car took a total of three weeks to get repaired due to the lack of urgency of AFA Claims, I had to rent a car for a week in a half which costed me almost 400.00. I have to drive my husbands car to work and im late everyday because I have to drop him off first in san francisco and there is a ton of traffic, I can lose my job. I am absolutely unsatisfied by the way ive been treated and a lot of time and money wasted, I still have to pay a 500 deductible. I couldnt afford a 400 bill for a rental car. I have yet to hear or get a call back from a supervisor at AFA claims. I submitted a complaint with the department of insurance and they will conduct an investigation.

The insurance company said that the issue had been resolved but it has not. I am still waiting on my claim to be paid. My car is  not repaired and it is a month later. I have not been contacted by the insurance adjuster with any new details. I need my claim to be worked priority and resolved properly.

The adjuster Jennifer L is very rude she hung up the phone in my face while giving my side of a car accident

Their client hit my car badly, my car is in the shop, she doesn't even have a driver's license, I had my right of way and she was the only one with a stop sign, and cut off in front of oncoming traffic instead of yielding. Even a simple mind can know and understand who was at fault in this situation, yet after their written statement and mine they insist on getting a verbal statement from her. She is obviously not returning or answering her calls and the insurance has not tried to help me. They had not assigned me a rental, I'm pregnant and they have no consideration towards me for that and for the fact that I have to ask people to drive me to work everyday since I work in a different city. They have a horrible service and the adjustor has never called me back, returned my voicemails, emails, or request to updates. I asked to speak to the supervisor and there is just no point Scott, he speaks to you calmly and still with an indiferent tone, and has not solved anything... it's been a past a month after the incident and still nothing, I'm guessing they want me to give up or something, but this is just fraud, if their client is at fault they have to pay. This Insurance claim service should not be in business.

We have contacted the complainant and resolved this matter.

received a check from the company in question, and all matters have been taken care of in a timely manner since this complaint was made. I'm just sorry that it had to get to this level, and appreciate both you and the company in complaint.

Worst customer service ever! Someone hit my car in February and did not get back my car until May. No proper follow up, I had to contact them to see if they were doing their part.

Repair store shop told me insurance company wanted to use faulty parts on my car. The cheaper the parts, the better!

Over paying for an insurance that does not help it's customers. I was cancelling insurance policy after being with them for 3 years and did not bother for me to stay with them. Representative simply said "Ok, it's fine with us". No consideration for being a loyal customer and a good driver, they raised insurance by $10 dollars every year.

I tried to stay with them but the Representative basically didn't care for me. Another loyal customer gone AFA Claims!

We communicated with our insured in writing on February 14, 2018, regarding the resolution of the claim in question. If any additional information is needed, please contact the claim manager, [redacted]  Sincerely,[redacted]Compliance Manager

Afa claims has been giving me the run around for 5 months ,they have my car which I been paying payments on I dont know what to do I dont have a car but I am paying for it

Was rear ended by someone insured by Ocean Harbor Insurance who uses AFA claims on 3/3/17. Took a couple weeks to get an adjuster to look at damage and they estimated $700. Have been trying to contact Mr Preston Hobbs ever since, and as of MAY 12th 2017, no reply to voice mails and no check. Claim # 1617-1024. Going to complain to CA dept of insurance about them and Ocean harbor if they do not reply and pay ASAP.

Review: I was promised to be paid out for the kkb value of my car after it had been salvaged out from the claims service. It has been three weeks since I was told my check was approved and sent out via mail. I haven't received the check, the adjuster Victoria Crawford either doesn't answer her phone or is extremely rude for no reason. It is a constant battle to get in touch with her and she is of no help.Desired Settlement: I just want the money I was prromised to fix my car myself. They are extremely unprofessional and I shouldn't have this unnecessary stress just to get the money I'm supposed to have for a car I pay for.

Review: On November 18, 2014 I was rear-end by an individual that is covered under Multi State Insurance. Multi State using "AFA Claims" to process there claims and settle as a third party. I was rear-end and the person using Multi State is 100% responsible. AFA Claim should be able to process this claim within one week, after two they have not even assigned an adjustor to the claim # [redacted]. I believe AFA understands they are liable and are taking as long as possible to process the claim in order to hold on to conserve their own cash flow. I have called three times and have recieved their run around statements: "it may take over two days to assign an adjustor", "we will call you when we have more information"...etc This is the most simplest of all claims to process. I had a simular event with a person with State Farm and everything was processed in two days, it has been two weeks and not even an adjustor has been assigned.Desired Settlement: AFA needs to process my claim for $538.00 today.

This business is absolutely horrible!!! One of their clients hit me, which of course is always an inconvenience. My vehicle goes to the body shop and I have to get a rental. AFA tells me I have to pay for the rental and they'll reimburse me after. I had to chase down Linda for instructions on reimbursement, with no call back. Left a message for her manager, Scott...no callback. Finally received an email days later. Eventually Linda tells me my reimbursement was processed and the check was in the mail. I should receive in 5-7 days. A week later, NOTHING!! Contacted Linda and she's out of the office until February!!!!! I am NOT a happy camper!!!!

Review: this is about an auto insurance claim on accident that happened back in July of 2013, and still cannot be processed. The company was supposed to issue the reimbursement check about three weeks ago per my Claim's representative [redacted]. My claim # [redacted]. During the last month I've been trying to contact that person every day, leaving voicemails which were not responded to. One of the times that I finally would get to talk to [redacted] I was told that the check was mailed out to the wrong address, and now they need to wait for it to come back; after that they would have to void that check, and only then they could send me a new one. That happened over two weeks ago; the check still hasn't been mailed out to us. He admits that it was his fault but when I asked who is gonna pay for all this extra time me using the car rental, he simply says that he doesn't have an answer to that, or quote: "don't rent the car, you know that it is expensive"! Really?! I've tried to contact his supervisor, left him several messages, but no call in return. I can imagine what kind of business is going on at that office if even the supervisor does not return customer's phone calls. Very disappointed! Seems that they just taking their time, and do not want to send me the check.My car is sitting in the shop and the mechanic is complaining to me that it takes out the space, and of course he also needs to get paid for the job that was done a long time ago.Desired Settlement: I'd like to receive my check as soon as possible, and get reimbursed for all this extra time that I had to use car rental, not only $400 that I'm eligible for, but for the whole period of time, since it's their fault that the check is delayed, and they admit that!
