Terrible customer service, and they are not lawyers in the collection department
Supervisor "Joe" hung up on me. I was not heated or threatening. Simply asking them to explain these charges to me that are on my credit report. Vasa employee told me back in 2015 my account was closed when I requested it to be terminated. Apparently you have to give them written notification to cancel. They refused to negotiate the $250 amount or even answer questions about it. I would give them zero stars if possible.

+1

In March I informed the manager at Fitness 19 in Temecula that my wife and I were unhappy with charges we received for private training lessons which we didnt sign up. And my wife informed the manager she was told even though we paid for a family membership that I had to be with her when we went to the location and that was difficult due our schedules. He said he was sorry and would refund us for the training lessons and they did. About a week or so later the gym was closed due to Covid issues. I have high blood pressure, mild diabetes, and asthma and I'm 67 years old. I spoke with my physician and he told me not to go to gyms or crowded spaces, wear a mask and wash my hands often due to my risk factors. He told me to work out and home and go for walks to stay active but be careful. I was sent a collection letter and phone calls from two different collection agencies with no explanation what this was about. I have never defaulted on any payments and my FICO score is 800+. After speaking with someone else who had also been to Fitness 19 they said they had received similar calls and it was based on ABC Financial who manages the collections for Fitness 19 members. My contract was a month to month agreement and I had Bank of America put a stop payment on the Fitness 19 auto debit after going back there to see why I was still being charged. They we closed with a sign in the window explaining why and didnt know when they would re-open. I contacted ABC Financial via email and a letter asking why I had been turned over to a collection agency as I had never received an invoice or letter requesting payment or past due notices. I tried calling Fitness 19 corporate office and the number is out of service. I tried calling the collection agency and only got a voice mail to leave a message and someone would call me back. Again I dont understand what is happening with this issue but for $129 it is ridiculous to have to spend this much time it. Please help me get this resolved as I have enough things to worry about now with this Covid virus going around. Thanks

We contacted the original creditor, Fitness 19, and they have no record of a cancellation request for your membership. Your personal training agreement was cancelled in February, but your membership was not.If you have further documentation, please send it to our office at PO BOX 171374, Holladay, UT 84117.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I have tried contacting Fitness 19 multiple times via emails and phone calls and havent been able to reach anyone since March 2020. I sent a packet of copies of emails and a memo posted on Fitness 19 website that all fees and payments were frozen when they closed.

Sincerely

Aldous & Associates Response • Aug 24, 2020

The fees were frozen while the gym was closed. However, the gym opened in June and then had to close again in August. As a result, your payments went past due.

I disputed my account with alnuts and it got taken off my trans union within one month of being on my credit. They have no account records just dispute and it will be removed. Do not pay these people a cent! They are very unprofessional and rude and do business very unethically. Remember dispute before you pay!

Aldous & Associates Response • Aug 20, 2020

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We do have records that are obtained from the original creditors. In your specific case it appears the account was sent in error and the original creditor directed us to close the account.

THE OFFICE WAS COLLECTING FOR GYM MEMBERSHIP DUES DURING THE TIME OF COVID WHEN THE GYM WAS CLOSED MORE OFTEN THAN IT WAS OPEN.
ALMOST CRIMINAL. THIS OFFICE COLLECTION AGENCY IS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE UP OF ATTORNEYS AT LAW BUT THEY DO NOT SEEM TO KNOW THE LAW.
ALSO, IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS, TELEWORK AND VIRTUAL MEETINGS, THEY WOULD NOT EVEN ACCEPT A REQUEST BY PHONE OR EMAIL AND EVEN REQUIRED A WRITTEN LETTER REQUESTING DETAILS OF THE AMOUNT THEY WERE COLLECTING. SHOULDN'T THEY DO WHATEVER WILL FACILITATE COLLECTION?
PRIMITIVE, RUDE, UNREASONABLE!
IF THERE IS 0 STAR, I WOULD GIVE THEM NO STARS AT ALL!!!!

Aldous & Associates Response • Aug 14, 2020

We are sorry you had this experience. All gyms paused billing due to the pandemic; however, accounts that were past due prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, that continued to be unpaid when the gyms reopened, have been received in our office. If you would like to dispute through the mail we would be happy to look into your account and provide a breakdown of the balance. You can send a letter to our office at PO BOX 171374, Holladay, UT 84117.

I saw on my credit report blinks fitness said I had an account with them and didn't pay a outstanding balance. I never had an account with blinks in the pass or present. Never set my foot in blinks gym. I called the company July after seeing a report on my credit report. They said the debt is valid they have I sign copy of the contract with my signature. I mailed a letter requesting the contract they send me back a contract with a electronic signature. I Called back, I was told you have I sign signature from me. He said if you would like to pay I can help you otherwise goodbye he hang up. I went to the guy on 250 utica Ave today August 12 10 am. To find out when did I signed up for the gym membership The guy ask me not to mention his name but they have no record of me ever been in this guy. According to him a person can start the application online but they have to come to the gym with ID to finish the application and get the card. They did see a online account was created but no one never came to finalized the account. The online signup is from a old address *** NY NY, the gym location 250 Utica Ave Brooklyn 15 miles from the address. iF im signing up for gym the closet location for ***, is 301 W 125 st 1.9 mils 9 mins away. Hello, My name is ***. I contacted Aldous and the man hung up on me three times without giving me my account information. They are calling about a membership I had with Spa Trouve, which I cancelled 5 months ago. The gal I spoke with when I called and cancelled allowed me to because of Covid. I live out of state and was not allowed to go into the spa personally. Since I made the initial call and cancelled with Spa Trouve they never once called me about my membership or sent me a letter on my membership. Therefore, I have zero knowledge of this account. Aldous provided no previous information and was not given notice that the collection was being added to my account, which is a FDCPA violation. I am notifying of the following information and would like a response: 1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. I also was not given the 30 day period to respond before the collection was added, which is a right guaranteed to me by law. I looked into this company and they have several complaints. Even trying to collect on the wrong person several times. I tried to call and discuss this account and the man would only hang up on me without discussing anything. If the above mentioned information cannot be giving to me accurately or in a timely manner I will proceed with further actions. My collection must be deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies. If this email not met with success, I will have to move on to other avenues to report these violations, such as a Revdex.com complaint and a FTC complaint. I will be filing a police report and will provide a copy of that.
Thank you to the previous person that filed a complaint and allowed me a better understanding of what process to take with Aldous.
Thank you

Aldous & Associates Response • Aug 10, 2020

We apologize that you had this experience. Unfortunately we must honor the record and account sent to us by the original creditor, Spa Trouve. We have noted your dispute and will send all pertaining documents to the address provided. If you have further questions, please call our office at . If you have further documentation regarding your cancellation, please send them to our office at PO BOX 171374, Holladay, UT 84117.

Company has acct in another person’s name yet it is on my credit report for a gym ! This is not my acct and has caused me to lose housing , defamed my character and more! If not removed I will file for triple damages plus punitive of $10,000.00! I have called them to dispute it and was told I could not do so over phone must put in writing! I did and they need to provide me with ids used to open this acct and signed agreement!

Aldous & Associates Response • Jul 15, 2020

We do require all disputes to be in writing. We have reached out to the original creditor and will send requested documents to your address provided. As stated in our previous response, please send an identity theft report to our office at ***, Holladay, UT 84117 as proof that this is not your account.

I called Tru fit athletic club (zone athletics) which I was a member of in March of 2020 to cancel my membership. They said that I could not cancel over the phone. My membership was month to month and I was told as long as I canceled before my billing date that I would not be charged for the month. The lady who I spoke with told me I could email [email protected] and my membership would be canceled. I have a copy of the sent email. Aldous and associates told me when I contacted them that my email would not suffice for cancellation of my agreement with Tru fit and that if I comply then there would not be further action taken against me. My bank disputed and reversed the charges from zone athletics. This club has been closed anyways for Covid 19. I will not pay some collection agency money for something that should have been canceled by the business. I did everything that I was told by the business to do in order to cancel my membership and resolve this matter.

Aldous & Associates Response • Jul 16, 2020

All cancellations must be done in writing. In addition, all cancellations are 30-day requests and all dues owing within the 30-day period must be paid in order for the cancellation to be processed. Please provide a copy of the email so we can verify that your request was received and all outstanding dues were paid with the gym. Please send proof to our office at ***, Holladay, UT 84117. The club has opened since being closed due to COVID-19. If your account was not cancelled properly, billing will have resumed.

Customer Response • Jul 16, 2020

I was told when I went into the membership that I had could cancel at any time and would not be liable for any further payments as it was month to month. I will be happy to email you a copy of the email that was sent or forward to your businesses office. Please provide an email that I can send it too because that's what I was told to do by zone athletics because I could t physically make it to the office. I will be taking this up with Zone Athletics as well. I did was I was told to do and will not be harassed or bullied into paying you for services that I canceled and did not use. Being told that if I "cooperate" and just pay the money for a membership that I canceled then no further action would be taken against me is absurd.

Please send a copy of the email exchange to our office at ***, Holladay, UT 84117 and we will look into this matter further.

A representative from Aldous and Associates contacted me sometime around August or September of 2019. As I explained to the gentlemen, I had canceled Blink Fitness at their Paramus location, but would need to find the cancellation confirmation. After that, I received no correspondence only the occasional voicemail. Flash forward to 5/21/2020 when I review my current credit report to find an open collection account from my dear friends at Aldous.

During my phone call, the representative refused to send any verification or validation of the initial account. The paraphrased conversation after my second reminder I had canceled this at a location, this is not a valid effort - FDCRA outlines disputes must be in writing, he can do absolutely nothing. What a completely useless phone call. I have received no communication from this agency, every piece of mail I receive is digitally scanned and archived. Additionally, I received no email correspondence regarding my account. How on earth am I even supposed to pay online if I don't have an account number?

I gave much thought, do I write that letter? Do I just engage my attorney? Should I call Blink? It is $134, is it really worth fighting... No. I proceeded to call in and remit payment in full, and confirmed I would receive notification via email (ironic they won't send communication to validate, but will confirm payment) within 48 hours. After several days and no email, I called again...

Initially I called from the number that would have been associated with my account and after hitting 1 to speak to a representative, I was sent direct to a voicemail box - agent is unavailable. I called in from my other number and managed to speak to Joe R. After indicating the email was sent (which it was not - searched inbox, spam, deleted EVERY folder) and that they keep detailed records, he was willing to forward correspondence and stay on the phone till I got it. Sad thing, poor Joe was the most helpful person, and probably sees nothing out of it. Hopefully Aldous & Associates will reward him?

I received zero correspondence from this organization in writing, only voicemails. I will be curious to see if they do communicate to Blink Fitness that the account has been settled in full, as promised, otherwise I will be back in touch! I can't speak for the leadership at Aldous, however, if it were my organization I would do everything differently.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 29, 2020

We apologize you had this experience. We did send a letter to your address in September 2019 when we received this account from Blink. In addition, we called and left many voicemails. If you had wanted to request validation of the debt in writing, we would have happily sent you proper documentation. We have communicated to Blink as well as the credit bureaus that this account has been paid in full. If you do not see an update on your end in 1-2 weeks, please contact our office and we will submit another request for your credit report to be updated to paid in full.

Customer Response • May 29, 2020

While I appreciate your claim of correspondence being sent, it was not received. Additionally, the email I was told was sent regarding paid in full status was never received. I would strongly advise your organization to review your internal process for written communication. Perhaps a new direct mail vendor? As I referenced in my call with Joe R, I did receive his correspondence and have had no further direct communication. The clear pattern of failed written communication is evident by this organization and my experience. The last test will be if their client and credit bureaus receive their correspondence. What and unbelievably bad experience.

My name is ***. I received an alert on my credit report for an account in collections, with a company called ALDOUS & ASSOCIATES. A) I have no knowledge of this account, as I have never been a member of said gym that is looking to collect $133 via ALDOUS & ASSOCIATES. B) I was not given notice that the collection was being added to my account, which is a FDCPA violation. I contacted the company at (385) 388-8005 and spoke to a man calling himself "Dan G." He asked me ONLY my name and told me that they had an account with my name on it and it was from a CF Fitness Gym. I was not asked any verification questions, such as my address, SSN, phone #, date of birth, etc.? I asked Mr. G how they could have an account in MY name if they dont even know who I am, except by 1st & last name, only. I was told that they have ways to verify me by only using my 1st and last name. I asked what the SSN number was and he wouldnt disclose the information and gave me an address to send any documentation to. A) I dont have documentation and B) How do I do a police report on something that I am just learning today, via Credit Karma.

I would like the following:
A) Original Account Number (FULL...not the last digits)
B) Date the original account was opened and any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
C) Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
D) Date of the first delinquency & dates & times of any phone calls made to myself and to what number, attempting to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
E) I was not given a 30 day period to respond before the collection was added, which is a right guaranteed to me by law.

I am rejecting this response because:

So, that said, a photo copy of my drivers license will hold sufficient; at which point this case will be "closed", and the proper information will be sent (on your company's behalf) to all reporting credit agencies? True?

Aldous & Associates Response • Jun 08, 2020

Yes, a picture of your drivers license showing that the identification information doesn't match would be sufficient.

I signed up for Vasa Fitness because the facility was very conveniently located near my house and because the gym opened earlier than my neighborhood fitness center. This meant that I could work out super early before my daughter woke up, so I could still be free to spend the morning with her. At the time of signing up, I was told that I can cancel the membership at any time with no punitive fees. The membership was relatively inexpensive, so I also signed up for personal training sessions. The associate told me that it’s very easy to cancel as well: 30-day notice was necessary, but that was the only requirement. I thought that was perfectly fair. I told the associate that I will probably do it only for 3 months. I just needed someone to push me, so I can establish a routine.

My experience was great! The facility was perfect and met my needs. My personal training was awesome! Three or so months into my personal training, I informed my trainer that I will cancel our sessions. She replied that it’s no problem, that I just needed to give her 30-day notice. A week later, I came in and told her that I would like to cancel the sessions, and that I will work out with her for another month, and to consider this my 30-day notice. I asked whether I needed to do anything else (speak to the front desk staff, talk to the manager, etc.), but she said she would take care of it and that I didn’t need to do a thing more.

I canceled my personal training, but I kept my membership still because I was working out on my own. Some months later, I changed jobs and my new job required much more time commitment. At which point, I went to Vasa and tried to cancel my membership. The staff at the front desk told me I needed to contact the Vasa corporate office. That was rather frustrating, but I didn’t want to give the girl a hard time: she was only doing her job. I promptly contacted Vasa corporate office. After being on hold for 45 minutes, I was able to talk to an associate. I explained that I wanted to cancel my membership, and he said that it was not a problem but that I needed to give them a 30-day notice before I could cancel my personal training. I told him that I already did, that my personal trainer was informed, and that I didn’t need to do anything else. It is at this point when the associate told me that the notice needed to be given in writing. I explained that it was not communicated to me and that the personal trainer and the staff at the gym have not asked me for any written cancelation notice. The associates told me that there is nothing he can do about that and that if I read the contract I would have known that. I told him that I went over the contract with the manager before I signed it and there was no mention of a written notice required to cancel. If that requirement was communicated to me, I would have had no problem complying. After putting me on hold for another 30 minutes, he said that there is nothing he can do but that he will cancel my membership.

A few months later, I received a letter from Aldous & Associates telling me that I am liable to pay some fees to Vasa and that if I don’t settle my account, they will report me to the credit bureau. I immediately called Aldous & Associates and once again explained all the steps I have already taken to cancel the membership and that as far as I know the account has been settled. The associate was very rude and told me I still owed Vasa money, at which point I told them that I have done all that was humanly possible to resolve the matter and that I absolutely refuse to be penalized for trying to do the right thing. The associate then proceeded to threaten me, so I told him I will take this matter up with Vasa Fitness and hung up.

After that unpleasant conversation, I went back to the Vasa facility to talk to the manager and complain about the situation. He promptly apologized and said that he was not aware of this and that he will take care of the situation.

Yesterday I received a notice from Credit Karma letting me know that there are derogatory marks on my credit. I nearly forgot about the problem, since I have not received any more communication. I was under the impression the manager at Vasa has taken care of it. Having searched for “Aldous & Associates” on Google, I realized that it was the same agency that I talked to about my alleged unpaid account at Vasa. Since I have not received any further communication as to my need to dispute the validity of the debt and, and therefore, had no chance to rectify the matter, I feel I was treated unfairly.

Needless to say, I am extremely unhappy. I pride myself on paying all of my debts, and I work hard to keep my credit score high. It is clear to me that both Vasa Fitness and Aldous & Associates are violating business practices and have been acting maliciously to defraud the consumer. It seems illogical to me that Vasa Fitness would act with hostility by hiring your firm towards its valued customers, who might eventually renew the membership. Instead of making a loyal customer feel appreciated and welcome to come back, they have legally robbed me of a peace of mind and unfairly marred my credit score.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 18, 2020

According to the records of the original creditor, you personal training agreement was cancelled on 07/19/2019. However, there is no record of your gym membership being cancelled. Attached you will find a copy of the contract which states that all cancellations must be done in writing. We have received no communication from VASA Fitness that your account was cancelled. The balance owed is due to four monthly payments totaling $87.96 and collection fees. If you have proof of cancellation in writing, please send it into our office at PO BOX 171374, Holladay, UT 84117.

Aldous recieved an invalid debt from me as crunch fitness removed it prior to it being processed. I attempted to explain this. I requested to forward the email from crunch fitness to show that I was absolved. Aldous refused to allow me to do this. I asked if I could have crunch fitness call and explain. They said no and that "it doesn't work that way", threatened to report me to creditors and hung up on me. Crunch contacted them and it was removed. Aldous did not inform me that it had been closed. When I asked why they did not inform me, they hung up on me again.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 18, 2020

We apologize that you had this experience. Until we receive proof from you as a member or communication from the original creditor, we must go by the records sent to us by the original creditor. Our notes show that we did inform you that you could send the documentation through the mail. In this case, the original creditor reached out and directed us to close your account. We apologize that no communication notifying you of this was sent out.

Aldous has a collection listed on my credit report. I have contacted Golds gym. After explaining the situation has advised that Aldous no longer has legal authority to collect on this debt. The account was settled with Golds Gym directly for the correct amount. I was advised it worried be recalled from Aldous. I have this on a recorded call. I am also receiving a letter by mail stating this.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 18, 2020

Hello,

According to the records of the original creditor you paid in full on 05/14/2020 and they had not yet notified us of this payment. We have since closed your account as paid. We report on credit at the end of the month. Your credit report will be updated to "paid in full" at this time and you should see this on your end by the first or second week of June. If you have any further questions, you can call our office at 1-888-221-5155.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 21, 2020

Hello,

Because you paid the debt, the credit bureau requires us to update the account as paid in full. We have to follow the rules set forth by Transunion. You are not owing anything else in our office.

Thanks

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: The account should have never went to collections. It was an error on Golds Gym part which is why they agreed to settle. You no longer have the debt in your office to legally report it, the client golds gym has recalled it. I will be filing complaints with with CFPB and Texas Attorney Generals office as well as seeking legal council. This has hurt my credit and caused issues for me. When the error was on Golds Gym, you are now refusing to accept them recalling the debt and continue your erroneous reporting.

Hello,

My name is ***, The account listed as ALDOUS account number: ***. I have no knowledge of this account and do not believe it belongs to me. I was not given notice that the collection was being added to my account, which is a FDCPA violation. I am requesting the following information:
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency
I did research and learned that your agency is reasonable, so I decided to contact you with my complaint first. If the above mentioned information cannot be verified, your collection must be deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies. If this email not met with success, I will have to move on to other avenues to report these violations, such as a Revdex.com complaint and a FTC complaint. I also have a copy of a police report that I have made with the Orange County Sheriff’s office as proof of identity theft during the duration of this reporting period (10/2019 – 5/2020) with another company which is under current investigation. I truly hope we can resolve this issue quickly.

Thank you.

I had a membership to Golds Gym, on June 26th they sent out an email that said they would be closing and transferring my membership to Charlotte Athletic Club starting July 1st. I tried to cancel my membership before that time because I didn’t want to go there, however they kept telling me to contact the other gym. I had email correspondence with the manager at CAC and he said we will take care of it on July 1st. Once that day arrived he said I needed to give a 30 day notice if I wanted to cancel and that I owed them for the entire month of July. I don’t acknowledge the debt that Aldous is trying to collect from me now. I disputed the charge and wrote a letter to Aldous in November, back when they were first trying to collect. A representative said they received the letter and that it’s being reviewed. 6 months later I haven’t heard anything back from them. Then today I see that they filed a claim in April for the debt and ruined my credit score. I tried calling them today and it immediately hangs up on me. Every single time! Like I have been put on some sort of do not answer list. I can’t even contact these guys to dispute this charge!

This company reported an open account to my credit report after payment for total owed was made. The letter they sent me offered 30 days to pay without it being reported to the credit bureaus. I paid this company on April 16th and they reported the account to the credit bureaus on May 1st 2020. Isn't this illegal?

We sent you a letter on 12/04/2019, which was over four months before your payment. Your account had been reported before your payment and, per office policy, was updated to paid in full when your payment was received on 04/16/2020. We apologize for any confusion.

Aldous & Associates Response • May 05, 2020

Upon further review, it appears this was a mistake and had not reported to credit before you had paid. We have removed it off of your credit report. Please allow 1-2 weeks for this to update on your end. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as they do in fact update my credit report within the 1-2 weeks of their response to me. I will be checking report daily and if I see that it is not removed within the time they referenced, I will be submitting another complaint.

Sincerely

I was contacted by Aldous & Associates regarding a purported debt from Crunch Gym Yerba Buena in San Francisco. Although I did not agree with the debt, I paid the full amount on March 17, 2020. On April 27, 2020, I found out that Aldous & Associates had incorrectly reported that I owed the money, resulting in a derogatory mark on my credit report. Aldous & Associates' negligence has resulted in a decrease in my credit score at a time when I am applying for home loans for my family. I am infuriated because I specifically asked the person at Aldous & Associates if anything would show up on my credit report. The last thing I expected was that they would report a false derogatory mark on my credit score. I tried calling their phone number and the person who picks up hangs up on me immediately.
This is ridiculous because they do not get any punishment for their mistake, and now I must spend hours of time disputing this transaction, when I already PAID THEM IN FULL! I want justice. This derogatory mark should be removed from my credit report immediately, and Aldous & Associates needs to be penalized for submitting false information to the credit bureaus.

There are two accounts under your name in our office. One is for Blink Fitness and the other is for Crunch Fitness. The account you paid off on 03/16/20 was for Crunch Fitness and has not been reported on credit. The account for Blink Fitness was paid on 04/27/20 and was reported to credit before being paid. It will be updated to paid in full at the end of the month. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the account to update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We contacted the original creditor, Blink Fitness, and are attaching a copy of all pertinent documents that created the obligation.See copy of your agreement which was executed by you on 01/03/2017. The original creditor sent your file to us due to a breach in the agreement. According to Blink Fitness, a payment was made on 04/04/2018 for $127.50 but the account was not cancelled. They also stated the your credit card information was updated on that same date. Since no cancellation was received, you were continued to be billed regularly.

Our office reported on credit after numerous attempts to contact you over several months. We do not remove off credit, but have updated your report to paid in full.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: The contract provided by Blink Fitness does not prove there was a debt. I already acknowledged that I had a membership at this gym.I sent Blink Fitness a letter, and contacted their corporate support line, prior to 4/4/2018, and requested to cancel my account. I did this multiple times. On the date that you mentioned, 4/4/2018, I was not even LIVING IN NEW YORK. I had already moved to California in February. Blink Fitness is an unethical business that did not act upon my multiple requests to cancel the membership. I do not acknowledge this debt and I do not accept your response. It is completely unfair that Blink Fitness can report a breach of contract without that breach of contract ever having been argued in court. If Blink Fitness felt there was a breach of contract they should have sued me in court. There was no breach of contract with respect to Blink Fitness, and the inaccurate reporting by your organization on my credit report has caused me damage and I will be pursuing legal action against your organization for reporting false information.

Sincerely

Account #*** - - On March 3, 2020, sent business validation letter pursuant to 15 USC 1692g, Sec. 809 (b). Still have not received a response within statutory 30 day period. Business keeps contacting me by phone. (validation letter attached to complaint herewith)

We never received a letter requesting proof of the debt. After receiving this request we have contacted the original creditor and will send our response in the mail as soon as we hear back from the original creditor. Per your request, we have removed your phone number from our call list as well. If you have further questions, you can contact our office at 1-888-221-5155.

Horrible service from Aldous and Blink Fitness. Received horrible service from Blink but still paid off my bill. Blink never removed the debt or communicated with Aldous so I received unwarranted calls for months. Everytime I would tell someone at Blink, I would always get a convenient answer but nothing ever changed. This led to more issues. Horrible, horrible companies.
