While unpredictability of glass is understandable, there was clear incompetence in the way the tech approached the repair Someone that drives miles out of the way to do a repair miles from his shop is not inspiring of trustShe signed that we accepted that a crack can expand through no fault of the technician but that does not give the technician cart blanc to damage the windshieldOffering to apply the $to a replacement is unhelpful when the technician informed my wife that he could not replace the windshield Due to the water sensor, he said she would have to go to the dealer At the time of the repair attempt, the technician did not inform my wife that he would be unable to replace the windshield if the crack widened beyond repair After the damage was beyond repair, he divulged this If he had, she would have gone directly to thedealer and not allowed him to attempt the repair Since SafeLite by way of the technician informed my wife that he is unable to complete a replacement and he stated to her that the $(not checking the exact change previously listed) would berefunded, this is the minimum that is acceptable Regardless of whether the vender and I agree on the incompetence of the tech, the promise of refunding the money needs to be followed through

I had some issues with my email and was not able to respond to the reply from Safelight in timeI would like to reopen this case because I do not agree with the response given from Safelight

Now that the new door panel has been installed, the door vibrates and rattles There are no other noises in the truck at all except for this door that constantly rattles as I drive down the road That noise was not there before I am tired of dealing with Safelite, I would like Safelite to agree to pay for the GMC dealership where I bought my truck to fix my truck correctly Safelite's technicians are obviously not trained well enough or care about the quality of their work

We? also received this as an email from the consumer sent Wed June 28, at 1:36AMThis reply was sent Wednesday June 28, at 1:58PM.Dear Ms [redacted] ,? I’m very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused youThe only reason the paperwork shows? pieces of glass is so that the shop can account for the broken glass for inventory purposesYou won’t be charged for both pieces of glass when the work is invoicedIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.? I can’t say if the same technician will or won’t be routed to do the work on ThursdayThat will be set on Thursday morning by the dispatcher

I am rejecting this response because:My dash has a mark on it to nothing said about thatWhy can't they get someone to fix my problem instead of me trying to find out how much it will cost to fix itI live way out in the country and they should get some one to come out and fix it and order the vent from ford to put it inThe felt on the inside molding needs to be replaced and fix the scuff mark on my dash and replace the small vent that they broke on my dash.? I’m very sorry to hear that you aren’t happy with the windshield installation on your Honda RidgelineIn checking with the Safelite location in Mesquite, TX; it is our understanding that the vehicle was brought in for a windshield replacement by another family memberThere was no request for Original Equipment to be quoted or installedWhat we and any other glass provider stocks is aftermarket glass which is of like kind and quality which is what was installed on March 21, On March 22, our Executive Service team was contacted about the molding being wavyA representative offered to schedule a warranty appointment to correct the issueAt that time, you requested Dealer glass and moldings but didn’t wish to pay the additional amount for those partsOur representative explained that we could schedule a warranty appointment if there were any defects in the materials or workmanshipAccording to our notes, there is no issue with the glass, you aren’t having any air leaks or water leaks or any other issue that would require replacing the windshield Again, I apologize that it wasn’t made clear to our shop that you wanted Original Equipment partsWe would be happy to order those parts for you and install them but you would be responsible for the additional cost of those partsIf you would like to schedule a no cost warranty appointment due to the wavy look of the molding, please give us a call at 1-866-212-

We spoke to the consumer at 4:33pm today and advised that we are replacing the windshield at no cost to himThe glass is on order and the shop will call to schedule the installation as soon as it is received It appears that this was filed after we already resolved the issue exactly as the consumer requested

I am rejecting this response because: I did not get mobile warranty serviceThey denied me and told me I had to bring the car into a safelite facilityThis is have done in two different shopsOne on 6th Ave SouthAnd second is on rainier ave southI do not want to waste my time sitting around and they in return tell me I don't have a leak or keep pushing me away instead of actually fixing itYou cannot tell me I don't have a leak when every morning I have so much moisture and water coming inside the car.? Dear Ms***, I’m very sorry that the passenger side molding flew off of your Kia Soul after we replaced your windshieldI know it must be disturbing to have that occur while you are driving in rush hour trafficHad there been any incident because of it, your insurance company would cover it just as they would if you blew a tire and a piece of it flew into traffic I want to assure you that the moldings are trim pieces and don’t hold your windshield in placeYour vehicle would have been safe to drive even without the moldingThey are generally held in place by clips or double-sided tape when installed on the manufacturer’s assembly lineThe side moldings are removed and reinstalled during a windshield replacementSometimes the clips can weaken or break or the adhesive on the tape can break down and not be as effective in holding the molding in place once reinstalledThis is something we will take care of under warranty but we wouldn’t be responsible beyond your vehicle Our records indicate that we were able to order a new molding from a dealer and get it installed for youWe also provided a rental vehicle while you waited for the part, as a courtesyRegarding your request for a full refund of your deductible, we would be able to offer a partial refund of $If you would like to accept that offer, we will need to verify your mailing address to send a checkPlease give us a call at 1-866-212-and a representative will be happy to assist you
