Dear Mr [redacted] , I'm very sorry to hear about the crack in the windshield that we installed on your Jeep LibertyIt must be frustrating to have a new crack in the windshield when it was just replaced in late December When our technician inspected the damage on February 20, 2016; he indicated that there was a new point of impact where something had struck the windshield near the driver side A-pillarOur records indicate that the technician showed you the impact point when he came out and advised this was not covered under our Nationwide lifetime warranty Our warranty does cover manufacturing defects in the glass and our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicleIt doesn't cover damage caused by something hitting the windshieldThere is no way to predict when an object may hit a windshield and cause damage requiring a windshield repair or replacementYou do have full comprehensive coverageon your vehicle so your insurance provider will cover the cost of the windshield replacementyou may contact them to schedule a replacement with Safelite or any glass provider of your choice Again, it is regrettable that you experienced new damage to your windshield only months after it was replaced by SafeliteUnfortunately, this is something that is beyond our control and not covered by our warrantyIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 1-866-212-

I'm very sorry our replacement of the windshield in your Buick Enclave resulted in a water leakAlso, that our first attempt to stop the leak wasn't successfulI understand that the water leak issue has been resolved and we paid for repairs to your vehicle.? Please forward any receipts and documentation of repairs you paid for between the windshield installation date of August 9, and the warranty appointment on May 15, Once we receive them, we'll review them for potential reimbursementSafelite will accept responsibility for any damages directly related to our work.? The dealership did say that the rain sensor that your company was faulty (not working properly) and has not been replaced since it has went to the dealershipIt was replaced by your technician and his name was Bo and the NEW rain sensor did not fix the issue so he told me to go to the BMW dealership here which I did and they said that the rain sensor was not working properlySo the dealership said the NEW rain sensor that you installed was faulty and since then has not been replacedI also know for a fact that the safelite shop in Amarillo did pay for and receive a new rain sensor June 30th because I have talked to the dealership about it several timesYet even though they received it I was never contacted to get it put in and when I contacted the manager about it I was not treated well and could not get a word in the conversation because he would not stop talking saying he would not do anythingHe was very unprofessional and rudeI took my car to your company expecting to get it back in the same condition I left it in and that was not the caseI do not understand how you can say that this is ok **

Dear Mr [redacted] ,I'm very sorry to hear about the scratch on the windshield of your BMW X3.I reached out to the manager of the Safelite location in [redacted] , ID about what the warranty inspection showed about the damageI've copied her email response below:This customer did come into our shop for us to inspect his windshield for scratchesThe wipers on his vehicle are not Safelite wiper bladesThe customer has also bent the wipers at the tip which has exposed the metal in the bladesIt looked as though something was stuck under the blade causing one scratch when the wipers operatedIt’s not a repetitive scratch which would be something we would see in defective or improperly installed blades.Because the damage isn't consistent with the wiper blades being defective or improperly installed, we must respectfully decline your request to replace the windshield at no cost to you

The Safelite Operations Manager in your area has been in contact with local dealers and has confirmed that the glass we installed is correctThe only other options for dealer glass are a non-tinted version and a non-heated version.? I am rejecting this response because: The windshield leaked because Safelite installed the windshield improperly The installation date was in April and I discovered the leak in early August I have no way of knowing how long it had been leaking This concerning me regarding any long term damage to electrical issues in the future .Regards, [redacted] ***

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to meI feel it is very unfortunate that I had to come to submitting a claim on the Revdex.com to receive a resolution and the customer service I deservedFor such a large company this place should care more about their customers and product/service they provideI will never use or recommend this company again

Dear Ms [redacted] ,I'm sorry to hear that you have some type of residue on the steering wheel of your Jeep Grand Cherokee.When we examined the steering wheel on June 15, 2018, the manager observed droplets of something and not something that was smeared on it.The manager explained to you that the resin isn't applied from inside the vehicle, only on the outside of the glassThe resin is contained in a sealed capsule that is applied through the "Raz Head" (this is the device used to perform the repair).I understand that you believe the residue may have been transferred from a technician's gloveIf that happened, the residue would be smeared and not in the form of dropletsBecause the resin is applied only on the outside of the glass and the material on the steering wheel is dried droplets, this wouldn't be consistent with something that our technician did while performing a windshield repairTherefore, we must respectfully decline your request to assist either by attempting to clean or replace the steering wheel

Dear Ms [redacted] ,I’m very sorry that our technician damaged your door panel while attempting to replace the door glass on your Jeep LibertyWe do have the replacement door panel in our Safelite location ready to install for you.It is fairly common for a window regulator to be damaged when door glass is broken by vandals or thievesAfter several hours of research, I have also learned that the design and materials used in the Jeep Liberty regulators make them prone to failureIn fact, model years through were part of a class action lawsuit due to regulator failureImprovements were made in the through model years but they still tend to be more problematic than other vehiclesWith all due respect to the other auto glass company you contacted, the only way to test the functioning of a window regulator once it is replaced is to operate itWhether it has glass installed or not is irrelevantWhen you took your Jeep to the dealership to have the regulator replaced, they would have tested it before releasing the vehicle to youBecause there was no glass in the vehicle at that time, it would have been tested without glassYou may want to check with the dealership that replaced the regulator to see if there is a manufacturer’s warranty in place that would cover the need to replace it a second time.While I understand your frustration and I know that you have been inconvenienced on multiple occasions, Safelite is not accepting responsibility for the cost of the regulators or any cost incurred when you went for a second opinionWe do have the replacement door panel and the replacement glass available to provide service when you contact us to schedule an appointmentAs a courtesy, I can offer you an additional $discount off the cost of the window replacement for your inconveniencePlease contact the local Safelite shop or our Executive Service team at ###-###-#### to schedule the work
