I am rejecting this response because:? Your technician is not being truthful.? While he did say that the crack might spread he never stated that Safelite would not be responsible for damages.? If I went to a tire store with a small, slow leak and they sawed my tire in half, I don't think they would try to charge me for a new tire.? This is unacceptable and further action will be taken if need be Regards, [redacted] ***

This is an unacceptable response from the businessThe person whom I talked to at Safelite in Greenville ASSURED me that the only difference in the glass was the KIA SYMBOLThis is NOT and was NEVER trueThe glass on my car now does NOT have the same tint that was on the previous windshieldThe person who put the glass on my car went through my car(these issues safelite has yet to address, and apparently they do NOT care)This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the insurance company I haveThe person on the social media team whom I talked would could have careless about the issueRather then doing something about the glass on my car, the person ignored the complaint and NEVER responded back to my last email!No one ever called for a "followup"Since safelite obviously does not care, again, I am requesting something so simple: Replace the glass in my car to the factory glassNo one called for a followup, the girl at the desk at safelite lied to me, and my car was went through by the person who installed the glass! These three things are highly unacceptable by any business!

Dear Mr [redacted] , I’m very sorry to hear that the back glass we installed on your Ford Crown Victoria broke again very shortly after we installed it on November 9, In reviewing the information we have regarding this issue, our understanding is that you had aftermarket tint added to the glass shortly after the installationOn November 16, you contacted a member of our Executive Service Team to advise there was a crack in the glassA no-cost warranty appointment was scheduled for one of our technicians to inspect the glass to see if there was a defect that caused the glass to breakIt was determined that there was no defect and the glass would not be replaced under our warranty Tempered glass, such as the back glass on your vehicle, will only break if something strikes itUsually, the glass will shatter completelyBecause you had an aftermarket tint film applied, it prevented the glass from completely shatteringBecause the glass will only break if something strikes it, tempered glass is not covered for breakage under our warranty Again, I’m sorry that the back glass broke again so soon after it was replacedThere was no defect found in the materials or the workmanship when a technician inspected the damaged glass on November 17, Therefore, we informed you that we would not be replacing the glass under warrantyAt that time, you decided to go to another glass provider and paid them to replace the glass for youWe are denying your request to refund the amount you paid for the installation

I’m so sorry that trim piece around your quarter glass wasn’t order in a timely mannerWe did replace the glass itself on June 17th but we apparently didn’t order the trim piece when we order the glass from the dealerThat was an oversight for which I truly apologize Our records indicate that we did order the part and it was installed on July 5, Because of our error, Safelite absorbed the cost of the trim piece and you weren’t charged anything for itYour frustration is understandable and I do apologize for the lack of communication and delays in completing the workSafelite does appreciate your business and we hope that everything is now satisfactory If you have any further issues or concerns, please feel free to contact our Executive Service team at ###-###-####

I’m very sorry that our previous response didn’t fully address your concerns about the windshield of your Nissan Xterra According to conversations with the manager of the Safelite location, the method used by the original technician was consistent with our proceduresThe “primer” mentioned doesn’t affect the outcome of a repair it only preps and dries out the area to be repairedThe actual repair work is done by a small machine using suction to remove debris and moisture from the damaged area and then the technician injects resin into the damaged areaThe resin is allowed to cure and then the area is polishedIn the words of the Safelite manager, “there is no wrong way to do a chip repair” The results of the process may differ due to any number of variablesIn a small percentage of cases the repair process isn’t successful or may be visually displeasingIf the damage is in the driver’s line of vision it is generally recommended that a replacement be done instead of a repairEven with a successful repair the damage doesn’t disappear so if it’s in the driver’s line of vision it can cause issues Again, I apologize that the repair wasn’t successful and a replacement was requiredWe do appreciate your businessIf you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us at ###-###-####

Ms [redacted] ,Thank you for detailing this eventWe realize that it has been some time since ***'s email to you towards the end of acknowledging that there was an issue, and that we would correct the issueAt first, when you brought the issue to our attention, we assumed that the problem was the liner until you let us know that the pool did NOT leak any during the winter after you had shut the pump and filter offYou even told [redacted] multiple times that the pool is not leakingAnd then, you turned your pump and filter on and the leak showed up againThis tells us that the issue is not the liner, but most likely a leak somewhere within the plumbingWe have never once told you that we were not going to resolve the problem, but up until recently - there was no problem according to you (other than your green pool water)So, [redacted] has given you over $in chemicals in attempts to clear your poolObviously, during this time you have turned your pump and filter back on and the leak has come backThis is almost certainly, not a problem with the liner but most likely, a problem with the plumbing somewhere within the system itself [redacted] told you today, that we would come out sometime next week to pressure test your lines to try to pinpoint where the leak isThere are a myriad of places it could be and to do the job properly, we'll need to perform this test to identify the problem areaAt that time, we will be fixing your pool - the chemicals that we have already given you are yours to keep at no cost to youThe repair work will be done at no cost to youWe honor our warranties and strive for perfection however, these are man-made pools made by man-made parts installed by humans so every once in a while, there will be an issueAnd when that occurs, we will correct the issuesThis is no different, you had an issue last year - we thought it was the liner and we told you we would take care of itThen you tell us that your pool is no longer leaking over the winter - even this year you came in and said your pool was no longer leaking that you just had green waterWe are working to get your pool cleared up and in the process, you turn your equipment on and then the leak appearsIt's now pretty obvious that the issue is not with the liner but instead - somewhere within the plumbing of the poolWe are happy to come out and resolve as early as next weekI believe [redacted] told you a few days next week you would like us to come out and you didn't pick onePlease let us know and we'll be there to repair your pool.Best, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I drove into Safelite with a broken back windowIn order for the tech to get to the back window he disconnected the terminals that lead to the airbags.That is a complete lie when stating they didn't disconnect the airbag before installing the glassThe only static electricity was from the technician disconnecting the airbags to replace the back windowThe airbag connections must be taken off in order to replace the windowThe technician told me that himself from SafeliteHe told me when he reconnected the airbags that's when the light came on,only after he reconnected itHe told me that's how it was? done and he wasn't sure how or why it was staying onFurthermore, Eddie the manager told me to go to Ford and have it looked at and without a doubt stated they would take care of itOnly when they realized the severity they dishonored the claimFord only will tell you that there was a short or static interference or someone hit the moduleThey aren't going to say safelite was at fault but the bottom line is they took my vehicle apart absolutely disconnected the airbag and reconnected it causing the short or interferenceIt seems kind of ironic that the airbag light went on only after they touched my vehicleIf something was hit or a wire was crimped it came from the tech taking it apartI drove the vehicle for 3-days before the window was fixedThere was no airbag light on until I drove the car out of SafeliteSo between the time I drove in with no airbag light on and drove out two hours later with the airbag light on who caused the static interference? I am beside myself! The technician made a mistake and crimped a wire or hit something inside where the module isThat is the only logically possible way this happened Regards, [redacted]
