I was strong- armed into switching to American Power & Gas back in March of
When I realized that they were charging more than double the market rate, I tried to switch to another provider in mid-JulyI was told at the time that it may take a couple of billing cycles for the change to be accomplished However, when I opened my most recent bill, the change never transpiredAnd, although energy rates have plummeted since last March, their rate has not changed and continues to be over cents a kwh the comparable market rateI tried twice to contact American Power & Gas to cancel my service and was on hold for no less than minutes each time, after which the call was cut off I don't know if there is a fee to get out from under this company but I am willing to pay whatever it its

Great company with great staff! They are very helpful whenever I've talked to themHighly recommended

American Power & Gas is a rip-off and they use very high pressure sales tactics to sell you their electricI work for an oil company and they consistently called during our busy season and asked to speak to the owner saying it is extremely important, etcetcWhen you tell them politely you are not interested they don't give upHowever, it doesn't stop there!! A few months ago an agent called and told me my boss agreed to switch which he did NOT and using their fast talk had me agree to switch the supplier for the oil business I work forBig mistake on my part for not verifying all this as it was during our busy heating seasonThe worst part of all this is they also changed his house to American power & Gas as well!! There is no way I would authorize this, that is a separate account, phone number, address, etcthat I have no access too!! Very bad experience please do not use this supplierTheir rates are at least double the other competitorsHigh pressure and fast talking sales reps give information to acquire sales

As an office manager at a church I field many calls from APG LLC When I have told the caller we are not interested they insist on speaking to someone who makes the financial decisions and insist I give personal information on our volunteers who work with the budget That is never going to happen so I offer to pass on details to those people or have them call back Finally was given a number, which is the same as noted by another church employee on a negative review of the company found on this sight It is 800-210-9011, but the extension given was *** with the name Rachael The caller was aggressive, overbearing, and unwilling to take no for an answer All the callers I have talked to fall under this umbrella This is a sales call, not a service

I got a quick response about rates after I emailed on a Sunday eveningI face gas leakage problem and I called themThey organized a time which was much sufficient, problem was fixed quicklyGreat service, efficient, & trustworthyHighly recommend

American Power and Gas "sales agents" (if you can even call them that, I prefer assaulters) harass our small family owned business weeklyNot only are the sales people pushy and rude, but they call back immediately after you say you're not interestedThey waste our employees time and have no respectWe've asked every single time to be removed from their list and it seems to inspire them to call more oftenTerrible customer service, I don't know how they get people to sign up for their scam
They have called and tried to get us to speak with them by telling us we qualify for a rebate, we have to let them replace our meters, or that there is an emergency and they must speak with the account holder immediatelyWe never have and NEVER will have an account with these crooks

I got a call to switch to green energy however I requested for a home visit to check everythingSalesman sent from American Power & Gas and he explained me thoroughly the advantages of itI told him to wait so that I can decide for final switchLater on, I came to know that we have to shift our apartmentI am shifted to JacksonvillePlease tell if you provide your service there? What could be the transfer cost and procedure for transferring the connection?

A representative from AP&G called our office in an attempt to switch our electricity supplier from the default supplier in our area I told them I was not interested if this was a sales call I specifically asked if the person was calling from our current electricity supplier She was evasive and eventually said she was calling because we were due a rebate because of the "program" we are in (see electricity deregulation) I told her we're not interested and asked her to remove us from their list She claimed that we could not be removed from the list because it only applies to sales calls I said "aren't you trying to sell me something?" She refused, and claimed this was not a sales call She then proceeded to tell me that I don't understand what I'm doing because I won't take their lower rate She would not let it go and I ended up hanging up to get rid of her

Today Carol called me againI politely excused myself and she called back and was very nasty with me, highly aggressiveHow appalling this is; I can imagine them calling the elderly and others who might fall for their evil tactics

I am using their services from quite long timeSo easy to communicate with customer careHad some issues in the bill once but it was sorted out when raise the concernService delivery is perfectCustomer rep educated me for all the favors I can get from the company if needed

American Power and Gas co: They called me times within hours todayThe first was a robocallThe second was a pushy sales rep indicating that there is an electric fee rebate awarded to me etc etc and then telling me to get a copy of my electric bill at once ! that was a huge red flag for meI said no because I don't trust who you are or your company at this point (even though I had never heard of them)She insisted I get a copy of my Duquesne light bill and give her the information on itI told her absolutely no and to never call againI hung up and she/they called right back to which I did not answer the phoneand yet again another call backhour later when I was out for a moment a call on my answering machine from another rep of the company telling me to call him backI did just to tell them to put me on the DNC list but I got another blah blah blah sales pitch and this guy telling me to get my electric bill! Told him in no uncertain terms to never call me againThus I write this negative review of their pushy arrogant sales practicesIf I get another call I will sue them for harrasment of continuing to bother me after repeatedly telling them I want no more calls and to be put on their do not call listHang up on them if you get calledand especially after reading the reviews on Revdex.com I am warning people to BEWARE OF AMERICAN POWER AND GAS

My initial contact with the company came by a phone solicitation I responded, as per our norm, that we will gladly review anything that they would want to mail us but that we do not accept phone solicitations They tried the "but your rebate..." b.ssales line I indicated that I did not want to be contacted They immediately called back and tried to contact another person at our company I told them to place us on their "do not call" list, which they refused to do, telling me they are not soliciting us I told them that they are not our vendor and that they are not welcome to callThey've called several times since, times today I finally returned their call to their business After several layers I got to someone who told me they were a customer relations manager and that they were sorry that I was angry, then tried to sell me their line again I filed a complaint with the FCC, PUC and the FTC The law indicates that upon being asked to be put on the "do not call list" the calls are to desist This company is using unethical tactics in direct violation of the law This seems to clearly evidence the corporate culture The fact that they carry the Revdex.com credentials lowers my opinion of the Revdex.com

This is the worst company you could choose They told me I was going to same a lot of money by switching over to American power and gas When the year ended I paid double the rate of my original company I advise anyone reading my review to stay far away from this company

American Power and Gas is NOT an honest company The delivered a promotional rate the first month, as promised, and immediately exceeded the "price to compare" rate by over 50% the NEXT month, and by 100% the THIRD month I cancelled service between those two months NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! In my opinion, THEY ARE THIEVES, and not to be trusted
I signed over two accounts to them and they did the same to each I am working with the PUC to resolve the matter, but will file PUC Charges against them if they do not resolve these issues by working with me directly
IF THIS DOES NOT WORK, then ask yourself , "HOW CAN THESE FOLKS (and others like them) GET AWAY WITH THIS BEHAVIOR, HOW CAN THE PUC ALLOW IT, AND HOW CAN CONGRESS ALLOW THIS TO GO ON?"

Aggressive, misleading and rude sales practices They called my place of business and claimed to have a refund that they needed to provide to a representative who no longer works here They claimed it was for our business address, and when I told them that we have no record of ever doing business with them, the person brusquely said, "I understand that, but I need to speak with someone who handles the business." As I explained that the person handling the business was unavailable due to an appointment with a client, he hung up on me

Ever since I signed up for the service my bill has increased exponentially
I gave them a year to fall into the price I was paying with JCP&L but AP&G never
was able to be lower then what I was given ny JCP&L
Salesman actually deceived me and never told me about the green energy pricing
which was twice as much as I was paying

I run a small golf course operations outfit, and asked them numerous times to take our business off their "DO NOT CALL" List. They keep calling and tell us they will keep calling until we sign up with their company. We stated every time that we our not interested in their services, and to leave us alone. They harass our receptionist and will not stop calling us. That's what led me to post a review.

I was willing o pay a little more to support green energy, but the monthly bills were so variable (huge 1 month, half the next), I couldn't budget for the swings. Worse- when we changed, we have received a half dozen calls, some rude, to try to get us to switch back. Doesn't matter we say we are not switching back- they still call !
