contained therein. We have concluded our investigation and provide the following response. The [redacted]’s enrolled in a ten (10) month budget plan for the 2013-2014 heating season. The plan included a usage of 1200 gallons at a price of $2.36 per gallon for a total of $2,832.00. The total was divided by ten (10) for monthly total of $283.20, which was rounded to $290.00 per month for a total of $2,900.00. Due to the extreme weather this past winter the [redacted]’s used 1425 gallons of propane. As a courtesy, the [redacted]'s price per gallon remained at $2.36 for the extra usage, bringing their ten (10) month total to $3,363.00, not $2,900.00, a difference of $463.00. The [redacted]'s had credits totaling 13.76 on their account bring their balance due to $449.00.We value our customers and apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused to the [redacted]’s and trust this response address their issue. account. AmeriGas takes any complaint seriously. Therefore, upon receipt of his complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings.[redacted] contacted our Emergency Call Center when his carbon monoxide detector went off indicating a possible leak. So to ensure the safety of our customers, as soon as we receive any calls of this nature it is AmeriGas policy to dispatch a driver to perform a leak check. Our Emergency Call Center does not discuss fees with our customers at the time of the call as these fees vary by location. AmeriGas policy dictates our drivers communicate these fees when they call the customer directly regarding the service call. These fees are outlined in our terms and conditions which are available to all of our customers at our local district offices, on our website, in our new customer welcome packets, and on the back of our customer invoices. We trust this response addresses [redacted]’s concerns. Dear [redacted]:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P. (“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to...

respond to [redacted]’s complaint regarding her account. AmeriCas takes any complaint by its customers seriously. Therefore, upon receipt of [redacted]’s complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings.
[redacted] called her local AmeriGas office for account set up and service in August 2014. She was charged for 100 gallons even though the tanks hold 200 gallons. Typically, when a new customer is set up we request payment for a full fill which in her case would be 200 gallons. We performed a safety check at her location on August 14, 2014 and it was determined the tanks had 42 gallons in them. [redacted] was charged for the initial 42 gallons, invoice enclosed.
On August 22, 2014 a delivery was made to [redacted] of 147.4 gallons. Since [redacted] had a credit of $101.99 on her account, she was billed for the remaining amount of $180.43. (Invoice enclosed) [redacted] was assessed a late fee since this invoice was not paid by the due date of September 27, 2014. [redacted] paid the balance, at the time, on November 10, 2014. As a courtesy we removed the late fee of $36.00.[redacted]’s account was set up as Forecast or Automatic delivery. If a forecasted customer runs out of gas, we issue a credit of $25.00. [redacted] did run out of gas and in good faith a credit of $50.00 was put on her account. Currently, her account balance is $429.45.
We value our customers and apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused [redacted]. We trust this response addresses her concerns. In light of the foregoing, we reasonably consider this matter resolved. If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,Jill D.
