Run from Ashford
My experience is still in progress, but so far this company has no clue about business and treats renters as though they are all i[censored]. They have no respect a no communication. Software programs do their work and if they are going to manage your property, I believe you will be paying for many unneeded repairs.
Historically, renters are maligned in the public eyes, and Colorado courts have been called “landlord friendly” for as long as I can recall. “Landlord friendly” actually can mean that the court is corrupt, and the outcome is pre-determined, and that is tyranny.
Renters have Rights so learn them and learn the eviction process from actual law text not a barstool lawyer.
I have a fair amount of experience in property management, construction, maintenance and a property manager that needs an attorney to do an eviction has to be an i[censored]. One that diagnosis building problems without visually seeing the building is a super i[censored]. Ashford is owned by an i[censored] I believe, one with sociopath traits, but I would need a professional to confirm that. A sociopath is generally not too smart but clever, and money is all they care about beside themselves. People are merely targets and victims. Do not be a victim.

RENTERS BEWARE, Ashford Realty are nothing but cons and thieves!!!! We rented property from them for monthsWe left the house in better shape then when we received the keys and we were NEVER late on one payment, not even day! They robbed us of $when it was time to return our depositWe were charged almost $for them to replace the air filter in the furnace$to remove a child proof door knobThese simply pop off, no effort what so everWhen we confronted them with receipts of proof that we changed the filter (every months and the last day we had possession of the house), they bold faced lied and said that it was dirtyThis is just simply impossibleWe were promised a call back days later to come to terms, but never received that callWe've tried calling and nobody will return our calls nowOnce the holidays are over, we will be contacting the Revdex.com and an attorneyI work for a HUGE company (fortune 500) and we have transfers coming in and out all year long

Ashford has been helpful in many ways pertaining to house hunting and rental options They take the time to make sure the customer has all of the information to make the right decision

I tried to rent the house at*** It was a lovely home, and I was amazed that such a nice house had been on the market for so long for such cheap rent However, after dealing with the company, I now understand why The it receptionist, ***, called me early on and tried to start a fight about income, demanding that we pay a whole year's rent upfront, despite the guarantor having over $10k/month to pay the rent When she urgently needed copies of pay stubs, however, which hadn't come through because of broken fax machine that she felt no need to tell us about, she chose to wait until just two days before our requested modate before letting us know that she still needed them She also needed rental verification, but she chose to wait until THE REQUESTED MODATE to let us know *** has displayed the most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen

I was a young college student when I first started renting with Ashford three years agoThey were always extremely accommodating to my busy schedule and always went the extra mile to take the weight of finding a new rental off of my shouldersI rented three different properties from them over the yearsI was very pleased with the process and the staff each time
More recently, I decided to start looking at purchasing a home of my ownI worked with Melanie *** as my buying agentAt first, I wasn't even sure I would be able to purchase, but with Melanie's help, the process became surprisingly simpleWe were lucky enough to go under contract with the first home we put an offer onAfter that, Melanie really took the reignsI went into the process intimidated by the home buying process, and came away a proud home owner
The Ashford group has made my life a thousand times easier when it came to either renting or buyingI would definitely recommend them to any of my friend

*** and the entire Ashford Realty team were incredible to work with! They made the process of selling a home a joy and were completely professional and knowledgable about every aspect of the transactionNot only are they professional, but they are also good human beings, and they're always willing to kindly offer help with any questionWe sold our home from out of state and we couldn't be happier with the service that was provided, particularly from a distanceWe also used their property management services, which were just as excellentI would highly recommend Ashford for any real estate or property management service one might need

RENTERS BEWARE, Ashford Realty are nothing but cons and thieves!!!! We rented property from them for 16 months. We left the house in better shape then when we received the keys and we were NEVER late on one payment, not even 1 day! They robbed us of $800 when it was time to return our deposit. We were charged almost $200 for them to replace the air filter in the furnace. $145 to remove a child proof door knob. These simply pop off, no effort what so ever. When we confronted them with receipts of proof that we changed the filter (every 3 months and the last day we had possession of the house), they bold faced lied and said that it was dirty. This is just simply impossible. We were promised a call back 2 days later to come to terms, but never received that call. We've tried calling and nobody will return our calls now. Once the holidays are over, we will be contacting the Revdex.com and an attorney. I work for a HUGE company (fortune 500) and we have transfers coming in and out all year long.

If you care about your property or the tenants that will be making it their home, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Communication is terrible and will result in sending numerous emails before you get a response, phones are never answered so plan on leaving a message and receiving a call back when they have time. Maintenance is awful. They don't have a repair man that is capable of doing much so all they do is call an expensive handyman every time there is an issue. God forbid there is a wildfire or a flood close by, or they are moving offices, you will not be their priority and will hear every excuse in the book. Ashford managed our home for 3 years and our first mistake was staying when our first tenants moved out and they "accidently" gave tenants back their entire deposit despite hundreds of dollars of damages that were incurred. Second tenants: fridge line bust in the kitchen and thankfully insurance covered. It took 6 months for the floor to be repaired, not because vendors were busy o

Make sure you talk to everyone in the office as no one can handle all the information. My wife and I make 70k a year, great rental history. Of course as most people trying to rent we do have credit issues mostly stemming from previous relationships. I had to file for bankruptcy due to a divorce, kept my obligations through it, paid off a vehicle through the process. I would have never thought to ask if that would be an automatic decline as we are trying to RENT. I would not be trying to rent if every thing was perfect. We felt we did not have the chance to ask questions when we showed up to the office and were treated like it was a mistake to try to get information from them before seeing a property. Anyone going through this process knows that every property management does things differently, every other one were happy to see us and gave information willingly up front. So end of the story I am out applications fees, and the response we will get from the company is that I/we did not ask the correct questions to the correct person and they are just trying to protect their clients.
