Two workers installed our system in the crawl space in the middle of summer. It's gross and HOT in the crawl space but not once did I hear complaints from either worker. I supplied a big jug of ice water for them and it was empty by the end of the job. The owner, Abbie, is very professional as well, overseeing the entire installation. Outstanding work and excellent results. Dennis was great to work with - he gave me good advice on radon and testing even before I contracted with him for the job. He and his crew were very responsive, showed up exactly when they said they would, and worked hard all day to get my system installed. All workers were polite and respectful of my property, they were very efficient and took care to make the external components as unobtrusive as possible. My pre-mitigation test results were around 7.5, and the post-mitigation test showed 0.3, which is at or below what is found in the outside air in my area, so the system seems to be working very well. Several of my neighbors have used Aspen for their radon mitigation, and all of them are very satisfied with the results. Prices are competitive with like businesses in the area.

A really great experience! Dennis Elkins and his team at Aspen Radon did an outstanding job. Before I met with Dennis we had a radon measurement of 22 pCi/L. I am happy to say that due to the work of the team at Aspen Radon the radon measurement after the mitigation was an astounding 0.3 pCi/L. Working with Dennis/Aspen Radon was a great experience. Our house had very high radon levels and unfortunately a pretty complicated layout: huge crawlspace, small basement with concrete slab and an unsealed pit for a sump pump – you name it. Dennis came up with a comprehensive mitigation plan at very reasonable cost and it had fantastic results. Radon levels are now barely measurable. David, Thanks for the nice review. You are right- we may not be the cheapest radon mitigation company and there is a good reason why we are not the cheapest. What is often unknown is that all radon systems are not the same. There is a big difference in the system design, quality of material used, workmanship and radon reduction results achieved. Comparing prices by calling radon contractors and asking 'how much is your radon mitigation system' is like calling the largest car dealer in Colorado with maybe 25 car lots and asking 'how much is your car'. Outstanding service and results! I contacted 4 radon mitigation companies. One highly rated competitor didn't want to come out to give me an estimate; he just wanted to look on Google Earth to do an evaluation. I asked him to come in person, and he did, but never followed through with a written estimate. One contractor never showed up for our appointment and another never followed through with a written estimate. Aspen Radon returned my calls very promptly, came out to my house and spent over 30 minutes outlining my options and the costs associated with each. The estimate was in-line with everyone else in town. The crew showed up on time and completed the work on time. They put everything back and cleaned up beautifully. Best of all, after the mitigation, the radon test showed virtually no radon at all in the sample. It is clear that Aspen Radon is a top-notch operation and worth every penny.

We are just as busy as the next radon contractor. But even after installing thousands of radon mitigation systems, I still come to each home to design the best type system that would be the most efficient in reducing the radon for that particular home. There are different types of radon mitigation system designs and techniques. There are also many things to consider when choosing the location for the radon system on the home, inside and out.

I had been putting off this project for a long time because I knew it would be a big effort. But Dennis made it easy by giving me an estimate in short order, and at much less than the other estimate I had gotten. I live almost two hours away from Colorado Springs, but on the appointed day Dennis and the crew showed up early and did the entire project in a day as promised. They worked hard and did a good job. The mitigation reduced radon in my house to well below the maximum recommended level. Very pleased with the work and the outcome. My only effort was moving everything out of the basement/crawlspace prior to their arrival, and putting it back in place after they had sealed up the area (no small task however).

Excellence in customer service. I called Dennis at Aspen Radon from a referral; my friend used them. I received a quote and said to go ahead that same day as the price seemed very fair for the professional way it was being done with 110V motor, etc. The work was scheduled on time and everything went as planned. In this case I am so glad I didn't get other quotes as it would have been a waste of time. We all know to get multiple quotes but save yourself the grief and just hire Aspen Radon.

Dennis (the owner) and his crew arrived right on time, installed the radon mitigation system in a few hours, and cleaned up as if nothing had ever happened - perfect! I chose Aspen Radon from three potential companies: Dennis showed up at the house to gave me a quote specific to my exact situation, the second company sent me a generic quote via email, the third company never responded at all. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable and his crew were quick, efficient, and courteous. The bottom line: radon levels in my basement dropped from 5.1 pCi/L to 1.5 pCi/L - well below the EPA recommended 4.0 pCi/L max for long term radon exposure. Also, Aspen Radon installs a fan power supply indicator panel as part of every installation to let you monitor the overall system performance. This will let you know if the fan needs attention before a real problem occurs. I am very satisfied and recommend Aspen Radon.

Thanks Tom for taking the time to write the review. You brought up a very good point about other contractors. We hear what you have said in your review quite often about other radon contractors 'guessing' at a cost or simply not showing up for an appointment.
All contractors, including radon contractors, are busy with the real estate market being as active as it is. Although we are also busy, and even though I have installed thousands of systems over 22 years, we do not give firm quotes over the phone as we treat every home individually-not just another 'generic' house. We visit each home and evaluate what radon mitigation system design is the most efficient in reducing the radon for that particular home. We also want to install a radon system that is aesthetically pleasing on the home as possible. This is why we physically look at every home before giving a firm quote.

I highly recommend Aspen Radon. They worked with us to find a suitable and effective spot for our radon mitigation system. Install was superb-- expertly done. End result: radon levels went from a high 9.7 pCi/L to negligible levels < 0.3 pCi/L.

Dennis (the owner) and his crew arrived right on time, installed the radon mitigation system in a few hours, and cleaned up as if nothing had ever happened - perfect! I chose Aspen Radon from three potential companies: Dennis showed up at the house to gave me a quote specific to my exact situation, the second company sent me a generic quote via email, the third company never responded at all. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable and his crew were quick, efficient, and courteous. The bottom line: radon levels in my basement dropped from 5.1 pCi/L to 1.5 pCi/L - well below the EPA recommended 4.0 pCi/L max for long term radon exposure. Also, Aspen Radon installs a fan power supply indicator panel as part of every installation to let you monitor the overall system performance. This will let you know if the fan needs attention before a real problem occurs. I am very satisfied and recommend Aspen Radon.
Thanks Tom for taking the time to write the review. You brought up a very good point about other contractors. We hear what you have said in your review quite often about other radon contractors 'guessing' at a cost or simply not showing up for an appointment.
All contractors, including radon contractors, are busy with the real estate market being as active as it is. Although we are also busy, and even though I have installed thousands of systems over 22 years, we do not give firm quotes over the phone as we treat every home individually-not just another 'generic' house. We visit each home and evaluate what radon mitigation system design is the most efficient in reducing the radon for that particular home. We also want to install a radon system that is aesthetically pleasing on the home as possible. This is why we physically look at every home before giving a firm quote.

I highly recommend Aspen Radon. They worked with us to find a suitable and effective spot for our radon mitigation system. Install was superb-- expertly done. End result: radon levels went from a high 9.7 pCi/L to negligible levels < 0.3 pCi/L.
