Review: Money not returned from a 30 day money back guarantee.Desired Settlement: Issure credit to my credit card for $195.00

Business

Response:

Case #[redacted]Customer never sent in a cancellation letter to cancel this policy. He basically just let the policy coverage lapse due to nonpayment. He only made an initial down payment of $195.00. It was cancelled by the finance company for nonpayment of his monthly installments. When this policy was cancelled for nonpayment, No refund was due because of the administrator’s charges, the finance company fees, and the prorated time that the policy was actually in effect.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

A letter along with the packet was returned a few days after it was received.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. FYI. This issue has been resolved. Thanks so much for your help.[redacted]

Regards,

Purchased a policy after being told they were an extension of Kia Motors. (first deception) I was told after I received the policy to look it over and only had to call to get a full refund of the deposit. (2nd deception) I called within 10 days of receiving the policy that did not cover half of what was promised by the sales person (3rd deception). I was then told the policy must be returned with a verified odometer reading (this policy wasn't going to go into effect for 1000 miles or 30 days.) I have canceled that debit card so no further charges can be made to my account and am filing for a charge back immediately. As stated by all other reviews and complaints, that seem the only way to get our money back from such a fraudulent business.

Review: On Monday, 4/27/15 I received a call from a man stating that his name was "[redacted]" and he was calling about my expired bumper to bumper insurance that I bought on my 2013 [redacted] They stated it would take about 10 minutes of my time. In fact it took almost 2 hours of my time. I was passed from person to person to verify all my information. After I had gone through the process, my husband had warned me to call the dealership to confirm this was really a business and not a scam artist trying to take advantage of me. I really did not think that someone or a company would scam a person. So I took a few days to investigate the information. I called the Dealer and spoke directly to the finance manager that we bought the first protection from and I was told that the only company that they use is [redacted] So I called the number back that was left on my VM at [redacted]. The lady that answered my call stated that "my dealership was lying to me and that I would end up paying a huge bill for no protection." I told her to please get rid of my paperwork and take me off the call list. She kept interrupting me and became very rude. This company takes advantage of people and I cannot believe I was so stupid to fall for those tricks. They keep calling me back with "blocked numbers" and No Caller ID. Besides, how can this company help me when it is not in [redacted]? Also the number that the person that called today, "[redacted]" called me from a local number of [redacted] and when I called back that number, it just rang and then a recording came on. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!! [redacted]I did not give you my number and you had no business contacting me[redacted]Sell to the Zoo!! Not PeopleDesired Settlement: 1. STOP CONTACTING ME. 2. Do not charge me with anything and if so, I will gladly press charges on them. 3. Stop lying or calling people that you have no business contacting.

[redacted]I did not give you my number and you had no business contacting me[redacted]Sell to the Zoo!! Not People!!

Case #[redacted]This did a postdated transaction. The customer’s initial payment amount was never received due to insufficient funds. The contract was never issued.

Review: I received a call stating my auto warranty had expired and that I would have to give a deposit then or I would not be able to get an extended warranty and the VIN on the car would show warranty was denied so I let this gentlemen pressure me into a down payment of 195.00 that I was told is 100% rush free I would just have to cancel within 30 days and I would be refunded my 195.00 if I changed my mind. Well after further checking on line about this company I decided to cancel I called them a a gentlemen that was rude told me I would have to get a notarized mileage affidavit and send it with a written cancelation to there office. Make a long story short I sent them a certified letter stating I wanted to cancel with the notarized mileage affidavit and it was received April 22, 2015 I then called 888-907-0850 and ask about my refund a woman told me it could take up to 30 business days to refund but it usually only takes a week or so. Well after a week or so I called back to see the status of the refund I was told it could take up to 30 business days and so I waited so I called back on Friday June 5, 2015 and the phone rang several times and then went to an after hours voicemail so I called from my wifes cell phone and they answered the phone because they screen the calls told her today is 32 days after they received my cancelation and that I wanted my refund per a written contract I have with them them and she more or less just give me the same song and dance like every time I called before and I ask to speak with a manager and of course there not in so I'm just tired of playing games with these scam artists. This company should not be able to stay in business commuting fraudulent scams like this they should be in jail or shut down period. All I want is the 195.00 credited back to my credit card and to never be contacted by there company or administrators.Desired Settlement: I would just like the 195.00 credited back to my credit card that is owed because I completed everything I needed to do in the contract and they guranteed a 100% money back and I would like them to uphold the end of the contract.

Case#[redacted]This customer received a full refund in the amount of $195.00.

Review: 8/14/2014 Purchased extended Warrantee on Honda CRV with USAA debit card on USAA bank account;

5/28/2014 Traded Honda CRV for a new vehicle:

6/1/2015 Called Auto Protection Plus, cancelled warantee coverage, I requested refund of prorated amount to be deposited in my USAA bank account;

10/23/2015 amount of $2,135.84 refunded to my USAA bank account;

**11/12/2015 my USAA bank account was fraudulently or otherwise charged $2,135.84 through the debit card with recipient shown as Auto Protection Plus;

11/17/2015 talked to Auto Protection Plus who said "our records show nothing about a withdrawal"; confirmed with USAA that the withdrawal listed Auto Protection Plus as the withdrawer; Auto Protection Plus said they "changed finance companies about that time and former finance company may be responsible."

Perusal of other complaints against Auto Protection Plus shows a similar incident on 12/2/2015 where refund was made and subsequently again withdrawn from person'a account. Looks like a pattern of fraud or something illegal.Desired Settlement: Auto Protection Plus (or appropriate finance company) should refund my money by check

Review: My husband and I, [redacted] purchased an extended warranty for a 2010 Dodge Ram truck on March 4, 2015. We canceled it on November 9, 2015. We paid $295.00 up front for the down payment and $152.00 monthly for the coverage. In our service contract it says the contract can be canceled anytime, but the amount refunded will be calculated on a pro rata basis. A person named [redacted] that answers the phone every time we call said he received our paperwork to cancel the warranty towards the end of Novemeber and it was being processed. It is now February and [redacted] keeps telling us the same thing. It is still processing. He will put us on hold and act like he is trying to figure out what is going on, but tells us the same thing every time. He says finance is working on it and they don't speak to the public. He will tell us that when he has a date for refund they will let us know, but never gives us any other information. He just gives is the go around every single time we call. We have had issues getting our refund and he told us it was going to be about $982.00 one time and then another time told us $1,020.00. We still have not received any money, and we made every payment on time. We never even filed a claim with them. We gave them a total of $1,511.00.Desired Settlement: My husband and I would like to get the money they owe us back, and for Auto Protection Plus to quit scamming people out of their hard earned money.

Auto Protection Plus called me stating that my warranty was going to expire within the next day, and so hesitant, I opted for the "review of the policy" for 30 days in which I had to leave a deposit of $195.00. I cancelled prior to the 30 days by sending back the policy via mail in which they stated that they would refund the deposit. I have yet to receive a refund. It's been 3 months. I have called several times, some guy named [redacted] always answers the phone. He gives the run-around, and states that HE has to get a hold of the "refund department," to return the deposit. He states this every time. This place is a scam, do not purchase.

Review: I have called for 3 weeks now and spoke to [redacted] wanting to know where my refund is us was told that I would have it 30 days after it was filed and fit was file August 4, 2015 and I was told September 30,2015 that it has been processed and will be direct deposited 3 to 4 business days and it's still nothin my account and I've called October 6 and 7th and asked to speak to someone higher up and he says no one is answering he would have them call me back and still no return calls I've been told for 3 weeks someone would call please help me get this resolved they owe me $371.00Desired Settlement: To get my refund asap and to let others not go with thrm

This customer has been refunded the down payment and as requested the payments from monthly service have been refunded via physical Check.

Review: I received a call from Auto Protection Plus on 9/25/2014, who tried to sell themselves as a company being related to my original warranty on my car, an [redacted]. I found out later that was not true.

I was convinced to extend my warranty by paying the first installment of $595.00 which I charged to my Credit Card. Once I did further research, I realized that this company was not in any way related to my original warranty and that the policy did not cover what I thought it did. So I called to cancel and request a refund. I spoke with a gentleman on Tues Oct 14, 2014 and after being (literally) scolded, he let me cancel the policy (#[redacted]) by saying I had to write a cancellation letter and send back the policy booklet. I sent it the very next day Oct 15, 2014, and they received both as requested on 10/20/14 (I have the USPS Tracking # to show this).

I still have not received my refund. On 11/18/2014, I received a letter from Royal Administration Services Inc (their administrator?) and it said that if I did not receive my refund within 45 days of cancellation, a 10% penalty will be added for every 30 days the refund is not paid.

I last spoke with Auto Protection Plus with a gentleman named "[redacted]" on Thurs 12/18/14. He said that my case is showing "in process" and that they conduct refunds on Fridays. I also had him confirm that it would be refunded to my original method of payment, on my Visa CC. He said that was correct. He said he'd call me with an update as soon as he got it.

Now, I am trying to call them again on the number on their website 888.907.0850 as well as another number I was given, [redacted] and no one is answering. I am beyond frustrated and need my refund ASAP.Desired Settlement: Need my refund ($595.00) plus the 10% penalty, twice - Nov and Dec late ($59.50+$59.50 =$119.00) a total of $714. They are coming up on having to pay another 10% penalty come 1/20/2015 if I don't receive it by that date. I also want this complaint to be public on on their Revdex.com profile.

Response:

Hello,I'm regards to this claim, they have just refunded me my original $595.00 onto my CC but have not honored their policy on paying 10% of the refund for every 30 days they were late. They owe me 10% for November and another 10% for December.Thanks.

My fault for making a purchase over the phone. The purchase date was 11/5/2015 and active 12/5/2015 with a 100% refund if cancelled within 30 days of being activated(1/4/2016). After receiving the policy on 11/21/2015, it was evident that it would not cover nearly half of what was described by the salesman, [redacted]. I sent my written cancellation request along with a notarized odometer reading to the Irvine address by 12/5/2015. Before it was even active. [redacted] said it was a two week turnaround from receipt of cancellation to the return of my funds. Well that didn't happen. After a few calls to [redacted] and him stating I'm in the next batch, the check is in the mail, the refund will be an EFT, etc. This coupled with the dozens of other formally filed comments and complaints that are eerily similar gives one that tell tale sick to your stomach feeling. All I want is an EFT refund of my $395. Is there recourse?

Review: They Charged me a certain amount to keep warranty on my truck and said I have 30 days to cancel protection plan. Have failed to get them on phone to cancel plan and they still call like I never was contacted by them. When they have called they hang up once I try to tell them I already have a protection plan that I want to cancel.Desired Settlement: Would like the $195.00 they charged me back before the 30 day cancellation period ends. As well as termination of agreement and for them to delete my number from their database.

Response:

Case# [redacted]The consumer’s account of what transpired around this contract is incorrect. The customer did reach our customer service department. We did advise him of the cancellation policy. This customer was refunded the $195.00 down payment and his policy was cancelled.

Review: The 3rd party car insurance contract got signed via phone on November 27 2015.

After I received the contract documents / terms via postal mail a couple days later, I canceled the contract within five (5) business days - which happened via postal mail sent out on December 9th 2015.

In January 2016 I had phone calls with customer representative which told me that the refund will happen within 30 - 60 business days after they received the my cancelation -which was December 19th.

Since February 19th I called the customer representative on weekly basis to figure out when my refund will happen.

Every time I call I receive the same information that my refund is on the list to be transferred next week - but nothing happens.Desired Settlement: My expectation is to get the return payment transferred onto my credit card or have a check send to my address ASAP.
