I cancelled all services with Avast almost 3 years ago. I was assured they removed my credit card info from their system, yet every year I go through crap with them. They send a notice that my renewal is due and my cc is expired, I open a file with them advising them AGAIN that I cancelled all services with them, then they charge my cc for their services, and I have to contact my bank and have the charges reversed. I'm sick and tired of their crap they are nothing but thieves, their protection stinks too.
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/02/20) */
Customer contacted us via our support portal.
Our retention agent already refunded his $39.99 for GrimeFighter as he requested.
However we did not refunded additional $19.99 for our Internet Security product due to our 30-days...
refund guarantee.
Customer missed this period for more than a two months.
Customer is also referring to wrong price. In this case customer was charged for the correct price.
Specified product was already discounted by $10 from the official price.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (4200, 11, 2015/02/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
they are not giving my full refund for 39.99 for the Grime Fighter program this charge was fraud it was only suppose to be 29.99 the willingly over charged my card and I want the full amount and want 200.00 for the crashing of my laptop due to their product and the over charge to my card I will not settle for anything less than 239.99.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2015/03/03) */
We have to correct our statement.
Customer purchased his license for $29.99+TAX which is $31.79 not $39.99. Specified amount was already refunded back.
