Our records indicate that Grace signed up with Backgroundalert on
August 4th. We show that after going through two billing cycles you decided to
call and cancel your subscription on September 14th. We never bill
our customers after cancelling their membership. After checking our records, we
have verified that the last charge you received from Backgroundalert was on
September 9th, which is about a week before you called to cancel
your membership. We believe the confusion lie in the fact that you thought you
were still in your first membership cycle when you were cancelling your
membership on September 14th ­­– our guess is that this
all could have been avoided if it were not for this miscommunication. 
We are sorry to hear about this miscommunication and will make a strident
effort to proactively resolve and keep all of our customers happy. In order to compensate you for your time and bringing
this issue to our attention, we have issued Grace a full refund for the
disputed amount and have submitted a request for our customer service teams to
be more proactive in resolving billing inquiries. If you have any questions in
