Dear Ms
***,
I am writing in response to the inquiry we received from your office on behalf of Mr*** *** regarding a WebBank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account
Mr*** claims that he used a promotion code to take advantage of a discount offering no payments until NovemberOur records do not show that this promotion code was utilized when the NuWave Pro Infrared Oven with Digital Controls order was placed online on July 18th,
Records indicate the account was delinquent before this order was placed, meaning the customer had a previous balance he was responsible for as well as the amount for the new purchaseThe delinquency caused late fees and an increased minimum due on the accountThe available credit has also decreased, as a result
The minimum amount due on the account is now $81.98, due by August 20thOnce this amount is paid, the account will be current and up to date
Thank you for allowing us to explain
Sincerely,

Dear Ms***
I am
writing in response to the inquiry we received from your office on behalf of Mr*** *** regarding a WebBank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account
Our records confirm an order was placed on September 20, for a Breville Speed Juice Fountain for $The item was then returned on October 28, 2014, and the account was credited $which was the full cost of the item, minus the shipping and handling
As our return policy states, "The original Shipping and Handling is nonrefundable if your item is not damaged or defective or in the case of a shipping error." This item was returned due to Mr*** not liking the productFor this reason, he would have been responsible for the shipping charges
When an order is shipped a billing statement is generatedOur records indicate that the first billing statement was printed and mailed to Mr*** on September 28, with a minimum payment due by October 17, We did not receive a payment from Mr***According to the terms and conditions that Mr*** agreed to when he opened the account, late fees may be assessed if the minimum payment due is not received by the due dateBecause the payment was not received, Mr***'s account became past due
Our records indicate that due to severe delinquency, Mr***'s Webbank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account was charged off on April 24, 2015, with a balance owing of $113.43, and then sold to *** on May 28,
For any further assistance Mr*** should need regarding this debt, he should contact *** at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX

Dear *** ***
I
am writing in response to the inquiry that we received from your office on behalf of Ms*** *** regarding a WebBank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account
We sincerely apologize for the unacceptable service Ms*** received while speaking with one of our phone agentsAs a reassurance, we have pursued her claim as outlined in the inquiry, including being hung up onIt is vital that our agents adhere to our quality standards with each and every customer interaction
We have found and listened to the recording of the telephone conversation in question between Ms*** and our agentMs*** asked about the possibility of receiving a credit line increase, and the agent provided her with accurate information in response(To reiterate to Ms***, her account is systematically evaluated up to ten times a year for a credit line increaseAt this time, it does not qualify for an increase, but she will be notified by mail when and if an increase is issued.) When she clarified with the agent that Fingerhut does not accept credit line increase requests outside of its standard procedure, Ms*** requested to speak with a supervisorThe agent complied with her request, but unfortunately and abruptly placed her call on hold without the courtesy of notifying her of this or asking her permissionWhen the agent returned, Ms*** explained that she did not appreciate being put on a hold in that manner, and the agent replied there was no supervisor available but he could request to have one call her backMs*** said she would continue to hold, and immediately upon asking the agent for his name, the call was terminated
Our procedures require that agents notate the customer's account any time a customer contacts them by telephoneRegrettably, the agent did not make a note about this interaction, and that resulted in further confusionIt also explains why the supervisor with whom Ms*** later spoke to about this phone call was unable to locate any details pertaining to the call
We would like Ms*** to know that we have already taken action to properly coach the agent in question to fully adhere to company procedures and servicing standardsWe are committed to ensuring our agents avoid any instance of causing a customer to feel they are not being listened to or, even worse, mistreated
Total customer satisfaction is a goal we strive daily to achieveWe appreciate Ms*** bringing this matter to our attention as it allowed us the opportunity to ensure we have met this goal with her

Re: Case # ***- **, ***
Dear Ms***,
I am writing in response to the further inquiry that we received from your office on behalf of ***
We received the Marcy Cardio Mini-Cycle as a return on September 23, and the account received credit for the full merchandise price
However, the original shipping/handling is non-refundable on return merchandise, and a return postage fee was deducted from the credit because it was sent back to us for a "non-qualifying" reason(An example of a "qualifying" reason would be in cases of a defect or damage not caused by the customer, which in most cases Fingerhut covers this cost.)
Consequently, the account continued to carry a balanceFor each month the minimum payment was not received by the due date, the account accrued a late feeIt also accrued interest according to the terms and conditions of the Agreement
We have decided to make an exception to our standard policyAdjustment allowances covering all shipping/handling costs, as well as all late fees and interest related to this matter, have been issued to the accountAs of the date of this letter, the account reflects a $balance
Additionally, we have updated the information on the account to the credit reporting agencies and advise to allow up to days for the update to process
Thank you for allowing us to assist and explain
Sincerely,

Fingerhut is an abusive companyMy account was sold to another company and Fingerhut claims repeatedly (and even with frustration towards me) to have relinquished all dealings with the account, yet, they reserve the write to make negative comments on a credit report and to not update their website as paid in full when the case is that the credit account is paid in full with proof from the account holderWhat law and where is it stating that a company who does not own an account has the write to enforce rules in relation to that account upon the consumer? This is bullyingThere is evidence of payment and the account doesn't belong to FingerhutWhy does Fingerhut reserve the right to do anything to the account when they've repeatedly told me that they have released all their rights to the new account holder? What a mean-spirited company

Re: Mr*** ***
Case #: ***
Dear Ms***,
I am writing in response to an inquiry received from your office on behalf of Mr*** *** regarding his WebBank/Fingerhut credit accountEnclosed are a statement of account activity, credit application, the last three monthly statements and Terms and Conditions
Mr*** states that Fingerhut calls him numerous times a day requesting payment on his Fingerhut credit accountHe goes on state that he has emailed payment arrangements to bring the account up to dateMr***'s desired resolution is to have the phone calls stopped immediately and he will pay whatever he is able to send to Fingerhut
According to our records, an application for credit was processed online April 30, An order was placed online, that same day, for a LifeMax(r) Folding TreadmillThe merchandise was shipped by FedEx Ground to the same address as listed on the applicationThe latest order, totaling $129.96, was placed on November 3,
We have received several payments from a checking account ending and a MasterCard credit ending in showing the name of *** *** and *** C*** respectivelyThe last payment was received on October 30, for $
As of November 4, 2015, Mr***'s account is being reported with a balance of $and past due of $To avoid further late fees and collection activity, the minimum payment of $must be received by November 5,
Mr***'s account may also qualify for a payment plan if he is unable to pay the minimum dueHe may contact our Billing Department at 1-866-836-to discuss his payment optionsTheir hours are 7:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Thursday; 7:00am to 6:00pm Friday; and 7:00am to noon Saturday Central Time
Please note when making a payment arrangement or a promise to pay, two conditions have to be met:
A scheduled date when payment is to be made
A dollar amount that is to be paid
Our records indicate Mr*** sent emails to Fingerhut on October 19, 2015, October 25, and October 30, which do not meet the above listed requirements for a payment arrangement or promise to pay
Also note when a payment is not received or is not the correct minimum amount due as indicated on the monthly billing statement, the minimum payment due the next month will be higher and will continue to be higher until the correct minimum amount due is receivedOur Payment Department will phone our customers with payment reminders when a payment is not received by the due date
Based on the call logs associated with Mr***'s account, all outbound collection calls were attempted between the hours of 8am and 9pm Pacific TimeOur records also indicate Fingerhut never attempted to contact Mr*** more than six times in a day while his account has been in a delinquent status
If Mr*** wishes to cease further communication on the account, a written cease and desist request may be faxed to ***, mailed to***, StCloud, MN, or by calling ***
Please note, if a cease and desist status is placed on his account, no further call attempts will be made or written communication sent, unless notified in writing rescinding the cease and desistA monthly statement will continue to be mailed
Mr***'s account would also be closed to future purchases and additional purchases on the account will not be allowedHowever, Fingerhut orders may be placed online using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover to pay for the order
Any outstanding balance will continue to accrue interest and you may be assessed late fees and Mr***'s account is still subject to the original terms and conditions of the Agreement
As a courtesy to Mr*** collection calls have been suppressed from October 27, to November 9, If payment arrangements are not made or a "cease and desist" has not been placed on the account by that date, collection activity may resume
Thank you for allowing us to explain

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/11/05) */
While I am a little satisfied that they company in question sent an email replying they will remove my phone number from receiving such courtesy reminders, my family members will reply they were not so courteous with their reminders
My younger brother *** received a number of calls within several minutes of each other even after he explained to the previous caller, I wasn't available and the message would be relayed
Also, if my year old mother would have had a heart attack or seizure, I would have sought further action against said company
I seriously started to wonder whether I was dealing with a company from a foreign country because they didn't seem to comprehend what my family members had told them
Calling an individual or individuals, constantly harassing them or family members is unacceptable in any business, personally owned or corporate wise
I expected a more formal apology for such harassment towards my family and myself even after I contacted them that I would be doing my best to meet the deadline
After being such a highly, valued customer for all those years, I can't wait to pay my balance off in full and tell them to remove my name from their mailing list and I guarantee I will try and help my other family members doing business with them to do the same, so they, too, won't receive such harassment as we have had the past few weeks, Even if I don't receive such an apology which I really don't expect to, my family members will hopefully be able to enjoy their days without such constant harassment again

In my opinion, this is the worst company to get an account withI closed account paid in full, and now they want more for the SafeLine that was on the accountThis was stopped when account was closed per their customer services I would not recommend this company to anyone

They closed my account for NO reasonAccount was in excellent status and currentWhen I inquired about it they told me to fax a cease and desist letter to revoke the hold and they would re-open itThis has now been weeks since I faxed them the letterEach time since then when I inquired about it they told me someone would be in contact with me soonStill waitingIn addition, they will bait a consumer with a credit increase for a limited timeIf you don't use it they take it back which has a negative impact on your credit
