Regards,

Good Morning, I would like to close my complaint numbered [redacted]. I was able to work out a solution with the business and it has been resolved to my satisfaction. Thank you for your assistance.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

I came to call this booking agency through an app I had downloaded on my IPhone to find and compare flight deals. I was having trouble getting the app to process my purchase, so I called the number on the site directly. BookAirFare provided courteous, expedient, and more than satisfactory flight booking services. Wait times to speak with a representative varied from 5-15 minutes. My chief complaint is that if the app displays a ticket available at a certain price, then the representative should have no trouble procuring said flight at the same cost. I unfortunately ended up paying 150 and some change for a flight listed on the app at merely 100$. Otherwise, stars all around.

ONLY FOR REFUNDS!, I been waiting since February 2, 2016 my refund of $1,155.32 and I still waiting for it, after contact with them several times this people doesn't care about our cases and they are not responsible for it. I bought 2 tickets flights to Madrid and I cancel 1, well they charge me $250 after 1 day of my purchased and also they told me as they are going to Refund the amount of $1,155.32, creating a new charge of the one ticket with the fee cancellation= $938.32. they told me to wait between 2-10 business days for my charge back and since I'm still waiting, I sent them several emails, waiting on the phone for several hours and nothing, contact with my Bank and It was too late, so basically I paid for 3 tickets flights when only 1 person flew to Madrid. So I'm thinking in going to the Court but I'll need all your help to Go All together to sued them because is so UNFAIR what they doing to Us! So if you have a similar case please contact with me thank you All!

Review: searched airline ticket via momondo.com then I chose the lowest fare offered and was linked to bookairfare.com, subsequently bought & booked trip ID #414434 from bookairfare. However the credit card (mastercard) I used decline the transaction so received an email from bookairfare so I called them @ [redacted] on 9/1/2015 @09:58 and gave them a new card (visa card) to use for the above transaction in which e-ticket was received and used.

However when I checked my charges with my [redacted] visa debit card, I got 3 multiple charges for the one (1) transaction above so I initially called faregeek @ 1416-922-7000 from whom I received the e-ticket from but I was told to contact bookairfare to whom I originally booked so I called bookairfare @ [redacted] on 9/3/2015 @ 02:33 pm and told them my concern about the 3 charges I got for only one transaction and I was told that they'll get back to me but nobody emailed or called me back so I sent them an email @ [redacted] on 9/3/2015 @ 04:42 pm but up to this point and time I haven't heard from them and charges are still on as I checked my [redacted] visa account 2 hours ago.

Review: In January I purchased a ticket to Jamaica for my dad, unfortunately, he was admitted to the hospital and was unable to take the trip. Prior to the date of departure, I reached out to book airfare.com (the third party booking agency) and they informed me that the airlines (JetBlue and Caribbean airline) would most likely not honor a refund. Thinking the response strange especially in the case of an admitted patient, I contacted both airlines and I was told whole-heartedly that they would have absolutely no problem with canceling the flight and refunding the money. I then contacted bookairfare and explained that I spoke to both airlines and insisted on getting my refund. After much back and forth calls with bookairfare customer service representative who proved to be straight liars (I was told they would email or call with responses and they never did), I was told that I would receive a refund. To this day, no refund was issued, and there is no sign that it will happen anytime soon; I recently contacted bookairfare and they were fuzzy on when I would receive my refund, even though it's already been 3 months of waiting.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back ($457.92) and nothing else to do with this company.

Review: On June 05, 2015: an email is received by Passenger A from BookAirFare (BAF) confirming the flight booking for Passenger A and Passenger B.

On June 17, 2015: Passenger A notices that flight itinerary has been cancelled.

On June 18, 2015: the following occurred.

10:16 a.m. - Passenger B contacts BAF via phone.

10:18 a.m. - BAF representative "Kyle" hangs up on Passenger B.

10:20 a.m. - Passenger B contacts BAF a second time.

10:20 a.m. - 10:56 a.m. - Passenger B speaks to BAF representative "[redacted]". [redacted] informs Passenger B that 1) an email was sent to Passenger B on June 10 regarding the cancelled flight and 2) multiple phone calls were made to Passenger A on June 11th. No voicemails were left. When asked why no voicemails were left, “[redacted]” claims that there was no prompt to leave a voice mail. Passenger B requests “[redacted]” to forward the June 10 email. “[redacted]" puts Passenger B on hold.

10:56 a.m. - Passenger B is unexpectedly transferred to "[redacted]"

10: 57 a.m. - "[redacted]" asks Passenger B if [redacted] would like to book a flight that is $4000+ above the original booking price. Passenger B refuses offer.

10: 58 a.m. - Passenger B requests "[redacted]'s" full name. "[redacted]" does not respond. Passenger B tells "[redacted]" that [redacted] knows that he is still on the line.

10: 59 a.m. - "[redacted]" hangs up on Passenger B.

11:47 a.m. – Passenger B calls BAF for a third time and asks customer service for the contact report

11:49 a.m. – Customer service transfers Passenger B to new representative without informing Passenger B. Passenger B requests the following: 1) an accurate report on the supposed contact dates and 2) an inquiry on why it took BAF 5-6 days to contact Passengers A and B about the cancelled flight.

11:52 a.m. – Representative places Passenger B on hold to speak with manager “[redacted]”.

11:52 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. – Passenger B is placed on hold.

12: 10 p.m. – Manager “[redacted]” provides the following information:

June 05 @ 8:13 p.m.: BAF called Passenger A. No answer. BAF chose not to leave a voicemail

June 06 @ 1:22 p.m.: BAF called Passenger A. No answer. BAF chose not to leave a voicemail

June 11 @ ___ p.m.: BAF called Passenger A. No answer. BAF chose not to leave a voicemail.Desired Settlement: The stories do not add up. The information that "[redacted]" provides varies from the information that "[redacted]" provides. Suddenly a voice mail prompt is available but the representative chose not to leave a message? And suddenly there was an effort to contact us within 24 hours of our booking?

Book Air Fare was supposedly trying to contact us to reschedule our flights. Because they claim that we were unreachable, they took it upon themselves to cancel our flight. However, the inconsistent stories that "[redacted]" and "[redacted]" provided suggest otherwise.

I would like Book Air Fare to rebook us for the desired travel dates and for the original amount: $716.79/person = $1433.58, due to Air Book Fare's controversial claims.

Side Note: BookAirFare Management and employee skills should be reassessed and need to improve to better their customer service. Hanging up on, or transferring, customers seems to be the BAF way to handle customer issues and complaints.

Review: A ticket was bought on line for 794.54 the next day they called me to say that they were not able to get money from credit card and need to redo operation in which I was charged a total of 895.13. I contacted the Bank and they told me that charges went trough.

Now my credit card it's been charged two times and many attempts has been done to get my credit card be reimbursed but it's been impossible.Desired Settlement: Refund credit card credit and bank charges and fees over credit line limit

Review: Booked airline ticket. Was never charged. Called in and was told it was a bank issue. Called bank and was told bookairfare never requested the money. Called back to book airfare and tried again. Price was brought up by 200 dollars. Was never charged again. Called into bookairfare, was told it was the bank yet again. Called bank and was told the never requested the money. Called back to bookairfare, price was now up 600 dollars and wanted to charge me again. Bookairfare was never charging the card and was bringing the prices up as they went along to drive me to pay more money for a ticket.

Review: I am filing a complaint against Bookairfare.com for illegal business practices, in particular, bait and switch. Last night, May 15, 2014, I purchased a ticket to Hanoi through them on Japan Airlines for $1451. After receiving the confirmation email I rang the airline to give them my frequent flyer number and receive my seating assignments. Then I booked internal flights in Vietnam and Cambodia on Vietnam Airlines. One day later, May 16, 2014, I received an email saying my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked on a Qatar Airlines flight, which has a significantly longer travel time and was cheaper the night before, $1389. I rang Bookairfare and spoke with Martin who advised that the fare was no longer available so they rebooked me. I informed him that what he was doing was bait and switch and it was an illegal practice. I intentionally did not book the cheaper flight the evening before because the travel time was longer. Plus, the Qatar Airlines reviews were not good. Now they are trying to make me pay more for a substandard flight which conflicts with my internal flights on Vietnam Airlines. They should honor the flight I purchased for which I have a confirmation email and had seat assignments. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told he would call me back. I did not hear from him so I rang again and was told Simon went home and I should ring back tomorrow.Desired Settlement: I want Bookairfare.com to honor my purchase, per my confirmation email which to me serves as a contractual obligation. Additionally I want them censured so they do not practice this illegal activity in the future. In my work for the government I investigate fraudulent schemes/scams on a regular basis so I want to ensure no one else is a victim of these practices.

Review: Me and my husband couldn't board our flight because of his Visa so I called the company to see if we could change the tickets they said no, then they said yes for a extra $1100, but if we could not come up with that our tickets would be canceled for a no show and we would not get any money back.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded in full or our two tickets with a straight flight to brussels then banjul

Review: I went online to look for airline tickets, and went to this site: www.bookairfare.com . I purchased tickets for the amount of $7,454.40. Once booked, you receive a confirmation email stating it will take 2-24 hours to receive the tickets via e-mail. After this time has passed, I called because I haven't received any emails containing my tickets. After being on hold for several hours, only to be told "there were NO supervisors" and after being re-routed to several other call waiting lines, NO ONE has answered me. I go online and check the reviews of this website, there were numerous complaints exactly the same as my situation.

I also purchased flight insurance, I called this phone number asking to be connected with the cancellation department. Only to be hung up by them several times.Desired Settlement: To be refunded the full amount of $7,454.40 via refund check.

Review: I Booked a Round Trip from this Company on 7th May 2015 from KITCHENER, ON to MEMPHIS, TN Dated 19th June 2015 and Return on 20th June 2015 and the Fare Amount was $389.12 as per their Ticket Pricing But During the Booking Tickets Online their Website Booked the SAME Tickets Twice and Charge my Card TWO TIMES with Amount $389.12 and $410.12 and then I tried to Contact them Many Times by email and Phone to Fix this Billing Issue and Issued me the Refund of $410.12 BUT they Never Replied to my email for two Days and also Whenever I call at their Provided Number [redacted] their Employees always Hangup the Call in Between the Conversation and this happened with me at least 10-15 Times and after 2 Days when I wrote another email and Ask them if they will Not Issue me my Refund I will Complaint with Revdex.com then they get back to me and Assured me that You they will Issue me the Refund of One trip $410.12 but I did NOT get Any Refund as of Today

Top of that when I arrived at the KITCHENER AIRPORT on 19th June 5 AM for Departure to Memphis then American Airlines Employee Told me that your BOTH Amounts have been already Refunded and their is NO Booking for today and I was SHOCKED with this News Because I have NEVER GOT any of my two Refunds (389.12 + 410.12) and also I was NEVER Informed about the Cancellation or Refund by this Company and when I Tried to contact them at same time then NO One picked up my Call even after waiting for 45 Minutes and I Missed my Flight

After that I booked the Another flight from Expedia.com online for $581.13 Which cost me $192 more than the Actual Ticket Price Booked from Bookairfare.com on 7th May and Moreover I drove my car for another FOUR Hours from Kirchner to Detroit Airport and also It Messed up my All Schedule and I Missed Many Appointments of 19th May and I faced too Many problem Like Hotel and Car Booking etcDesired Settlement: So I Just Wants to Request you Please help me to Get Back my FULL Refunds of Both Amounts Because of NO SERVICE Rendered PLUS EXTRA $2000 as Compensation and Harassment I faced because of this Company

Review: The said company overcharged my credit card by Can$309.57 on May 26, 2015. On seeing that charge online on my online banking access I contacted BookAirfare on June 2, 2015 by phone at 11:45am. I was told by [redacted] that they had noticed their mistake and already authorized a refund which I would receive within 7-14 business days.

When that period was over and I there was no refund on my account I first contacted my bank who told me there was no refund from BookAirfare in their system.

When there was no change today, I proceeded to contact BookAirfare again today. At 11:45am I was connected to speak to Ben. He told me he had to talk to a different team about the matter and I would receive a phone call or an e-mail within 2-3 hours. I did not receive a phone call or e-mail from BookAirfare.

I called again at 5:00pm this afternoon. At 5:15pm I was connected with [redacted] who first told me Ben had already authorized the refund which I should receive in another 10 or so business days. I did not accept another long waiting time like that. I was then told the company would normally cut cheques for refunds which they would mail to their customers. They would cut a cheque within the next 2-3 days. I insisted that the issue be resolved now. I was told there was nothing else [redacted] could do. His contradicting information regarding the processing of refunds by BookAirfare made me ask to speak to a supervisor. I was told there was no supervisor available to talk to me. [redacted] then put me on hold for 20 minutes to talk to the refund department. When he came back on the phone he asked me to call back in two days to learn about the status of the refund.

During the ensuing longer conversation I was told that: a) the company cannot refund the credit cards they charge, b) the head of the refund department had many ("thousands") more cases like mine, c) there was nothing [redacted] could do for me.

I demanded to receive a phone call within 24 hours from the refund department. [redacted] said he would send them an urgent e-mail to that regard.Desired Settlement: After having waited for 3 weeks I want a complete and immediate refund of the overcharged amount of Can$309.57 to my credit card on file.

Review: This is a bit long and thank you for the patience. I believe I was fraud by this company. I was proceeded to an error page after I click submit the payment. I waited for almost two hours to make sure they didn't send me a confirmation letter and also my card wasn't charged. I believed the transaction failed and I then made another purchase. This time I got a confirmation letter right away, card was charged and received a e-ticket shortly after. Two hours later, out of no where I was suddenly charged for my first purchase and received a e-ticket. (I checked with my credit card company and have the record of the times.) I didn't realized this until I received my bill yesterday. I called to ask for cancellation and refund and they want to charge me $200 for refund application. They would not pay me full refund and said that they are either responsible for the refund but it depends on the airline's decision. I might end up paying for two tickets plus the doubtful charge of $200. They said everything follows the policy and theres no space for adjustment. I had to agreed to the refund option and thought it was just an unlucky accident. Until I saw the reviews of them online. People had been scammed in similar and different ways according to [redacted]) If they had set this up then it's a totally different thing. In this case I should get a full refund and no fee. They argued that I call them too late for this or I will get a full refund but I believe they would still said the same if I had called them right away at the time, according to the other cases from trustpilot.

They sure had legal policy, contracts and my cancellation agreement that can back them up against me. Also they have a history of canceling people's flights after the ticket is confirmed. Thats why I feel that I shouldn't confront them right now but until I successfully get on the flight...

I paid $700 for the extra ticket, a $200 refund application and likely get a $400 refund back.

I would want this complaint hold as a record for future if I don't get anything back and also for requesting full refund.

p.s. they said that the refund will take 10-12 weeks which I also think is unreasonably long.Desired Settlement: 1. Secured seat of my Ticket Number: [redacted] booking reference [redacted] 2. full refund of $700 and return of $200 refund application fee.

3.baseline is $400 refund even if ANA didn't approve, and return of $200 refund application fee.

4. the company be investigated for unethical business practice

Review: I have recently booked a business class ticket (on Qatar Airways) through a search engine [redacted] which led me to www.bookairfare.com. At first there were no issues with the business, however, due to work situation, I needed to cancel the trip and that is when I started having problem. At first, the representative told me that I would get a refund (which will show up on my bank account statement within 1-2 business cycles) but first I had to pay them $1500 upfront. After I complained about an unreasonably large amount, I was told the it "can be negotiated" That didn’t sound right to me at all, as paying a large sum upfront and waiting that long is not a normal policy. As a frequent domestic as well as an international traveler, I know that the standard airline policy is not as such, especially the amount itself. Each airline and reputable travel agency has a set amount that never changes and further to that, once you pay the cancellation fee, you get the rest of the money right away and not wait for the unreasonable amount of time. Once I put in a call to www.bookairfare.com, I started getting emails from gentleman called [redacted], however, curiously he had a different email extension – [redacted], which made me feel even more uncomfortable. When I asked him about the discrepancy, I was told there were sister companies and did business together. Feeling even more uncomfortable, I turned to google, where, to my dismay I have seen nothing but horrific reviews and testaments of scam and money demands. Every customer that complained had mentioned to do NOT give them refund fee as you will never see the rest of the your money back (feel free to check for yourself at http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.bookairfare.com and http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/[redacted]). While in the process of cancelling the ticket, the situation at work had changed again and I was told I was able to take the trip. When I emailed [redacted] at [redacted], I was told that the change fee will now be $875 and the difference in fare $1242 (even though the website’s price was much lower). I then called www.bookairfare.com representative and was told that my ticket was now completely cancelled and I need to rebook a new one from scratch. When asked to speak to supervisor, I heard nothing but mumbling and then put on half hour hold and eventually got disconnected. As I said before, the reviews are horrific and I was obviously have been scammed and essentially lost close to $5000. …..I have exchange few more emails with [redacted] but got the same mumbling answer or none at all.Desired Settlement: I am begging you for help. I am robbed for almost $5000 - to be exact, the amount is $4917.80 and it is a huge amount for me to lose. Please help!!!

Review: I spent 1100 dollars on airline tickets with this company and they made a mistake on the tickets, booking the return for JAN instead of JUN. Due to this mistake I can not use these tickets now, and they are telling me I will have to pay over 800 dollars to change it because I failed to notice their mistake. The customer service representatives are extensively rude and not helpful, they have a mocking tone and won't even acknowledge the mistake that was made. This is causing me and my family alot of financial trouble.Desired Settlement: The mistake be corrected by the person at fault, either a refund given or the dates changed to what I originally desired
