I am rejecting this response because: The allegations by the director and response by *** *** are inaccurate and dishonestWe have several pictures and photos of the hood damage (please see attached) which were clearly given to the *** *** (*** ***) on 10/17/His lack of knowledge of this shows us that he clearly doesn't understand the issue and/or he is continuing with the lies and negligence that has been given to me in the past. Further, *** a supervisor and the one who came out to add oil to the car, confirmed that there was no oil left in the car via a phone conversationMy wife was at home at the time that *** came out to add the oil and observed him adding oil as wellThe night that our car broke down, the tow truck driver whom towed our car observed and confirmed that there was no oil left in the car and is a witness to thatThe hood was not latched upon completion of *** adding oil, and when my wife drove the car on the freeway, her life as well as my year old son's life was endangered via the hood flying up on the highway, causing significant damage to our carAs well, the body shop which took care of our car was Apollo Auto Body, a very reputable auto body shop in the Houston area whom I have no personal relationships withTherefore ***'s allegation that was a "friend's" shop is indeed another lie to add to the recordPlease never trust these people, a $oil change turned in to over $in damages to my car and in response I did not even receive an apology nor even an attempt to "make it right" and instead received several excuses, lies (outright) and a complete denial of liability

We have communicated with the customer and have agreed to refund him $for the cost of repairing his calipers- *** ***, *** ***

The information provided in this alleged complaint is not accurateThe customer did call stating that the car overheated on his drive homeSince we had only changed the oil, we had someone go to the home and check the oilThe oil level was found to be as it should beNo oil was addedThe hood
was closed and the latch was checkedThe customer did not contact us about the alleged ‘hood flying up issue’ until he had already allegedly paid for the repairs himselfWhen I, *** *** (*** ** *** spoke with Mr*** I asked him if he was aware of how insurance claims goHe said yes, an investigator comes out and looks at the damage and an adjuster determines fault and amount of liabilityI asked him why he would not take any pictures of the damage and pay out of pocket for the repairs at a ‘friends’ shop without letting Brake Check investigate or follow any Garage Liability Insurance claim, he could not offer a responseHe threatened to damage our reputation via any and all methods if we didn’t send him a checkHe then stated that he knew it would have cost us more if he had done that process and he was just trying to save us money by going to a Automotive Collision Center that his ‘friend’ ownsHe then stated he would just file a lawsuit. With lack of any real evidence that this actually occurred, I cannot in good faith reimburse Mr***’s money for alleged collision repairsFurther, with his threats of legal action, Brake Check decided to no longer engage Mr*** in discussions *** E *** *** ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:
I am rejecting this response because, as I indicated earlier, a refund of $is owed to me, and I simply do not wish to deal any further with this store manager or to be name-called "uncooperative" in Brake Check's response here. This is why I came to the Revdex.com in the first place My only lack of "cooperation" with this store is that I am unwilling to receive more phone calls and make more visits to this shop, in order to re-experience this store's continual "run-around" about what was or was not done to my car, with inaccurate or absent paperwork, and ever-changing, conflicting, and unkept promises, calculations and re-calculations of the costs, followed by ever-changing explanations, re-explanations, and excuses, followed by new, inflated re-calculations of the costs and charges. Right now Brake Check has wrongly charged my credit card for more than $652, meanwhile promising to process the refund due to me when I picked up the car on on Nov8th. Instead, when I picked up the car on that day, Brake Check refused to process the refund and flagrantly refused to give me even an accurate invoice. Then, with new excuses, they promised the refund would be processed the following Monday, Nov10th. It wasn't Instead, they phoned with a new promise to process the refund on Nov12th. Attached are audio recordings of all voicemails promising unequivocally that the refund of $would be processed on Nov12th---or again, that it would be processed the next day, or the nextAs anyone can hear, these voicemails are clear and unequivocal But instead, that promise too was never processed. Why? I can only assume Brake Check has some new excuses. It is just not that complicated to process a refund. I do not need to return to the store to get it. I certainly do not need to return there to get more of the indignant name-calling evidenced in this response ("uncooperative") This is the same conduct that I complained about at the start of this fiasco I have done everything possible to treat Brake Check politely, including allowing my Revdex.com complaint to be closed after receiving the first voicemail promising the refund of $534.67---that never arrived I am a former customer of years, and I wanted no public, negative feedback about Brake Check to be on the internet So my answer now must be "no" to this response. This response from Brake Check, resolving nothing and merely demanding that I return to this store and stop being "uncooperative," is unacceptable and is rejected Regards, *** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:We do not agree with thisWe have filed a complaint to Mr.*** *** and *** *** as well as *** the *** ***We paid for aservice that was not performed and was then fooled into spending more money totry to fix what was supposed to be done in a prior service at Brake CheckWetook pictures of the alleged service performed and sent it to the *** and ***.A brief history, after a routine maintenance visit to BrakeCheck, my car started to perform really bad; stalling, turning off, and now thecheck engine steady onI took the car back to Brake Check where Mr***briefly looked at the carI witness him looking at the car for about secbefore he was interrupted by another mechanic with another carWhen heapproached me, I had a hard time believing that more work had to be done to mycar and that it would cost a lot more moneyHe again, tried to keep the onlycopy of my receipt hiding the proof of the alleged service doneMy credit cardstatement won’t show the details alleged done to the car, and also why would hewant to keep my receipt when everything should be on their computer system? Outof frustration and necessity, I took the car to another mechanic for a secondopinionThat’s when we discovered that the service I paid for prior was neverdoneBeing more careful/concern, we both witness the mechanic removing thecoil packs and the spark plugs out of my car and they were so warned/burnt out.We took pictures of the productThis showed that the work that Mr*** allegedid was never performedWe also asked the mechanic if there was an oil leak oranything concerning on the car as Mr *** suggested, and the mechanicresponded that there was nothing wrong other than the maintenance that wasneededWe also asked him if the alleged maintenance done four months prior, could there be something wrong with the engine that worn the spark plugs infour months, and he responded that there's nothing wrong and in four monthswith the amount of mileage I did, would not have burnt the spark plugs thatway, that it was due to a lack of maintenance to the carNow since Sept upuntil now December, which equivalent to the same time frame from the allegedservice done in MayIf there was something wrong with the car that burnt thespark plugs in the four months, by now the new spark plugs would have beenburnt as well, especially now that I'm running more miles shopping and doing myholiday errandsMy daily commute is about miles a day, which is 480miles a monthThat's a total of 1,miles in four monthsThat's not enoughmileage to burn or worn the spark plugs like the ones that were removed from mycarThere were no oil leaks as suggested, and there was nothing else wrongwith the carBut Mr*** wanted to charge me a lot of money to fixsomething that was supposed to be done four months prior, and up until now, formonths after the maintenance was done by another mechanic, the car is runningwellWe are frustrated because this wasn’t a bit of money spent,we trusted Brake Check for many years and always listened to their suggestionswhen service was done to both of our vehiclesWe are asking for a refund on the service that we paid butwas never doneWe are attaching pictures, the complaint filed as well as thereceiptIf we do not received a refund, we will continue to escalate this andtake it to a civil court and/or make this event more public. Complaint: ***
I have been given the run around and around again with this claimBetween *** at the store, and the conniving acts of trying to hide the evidence and not taking responsibility and also trying to take more money on unnecessary service for him to perform the service that I had already paid for, and the *** *** *** ***, for also giving me the run around and not taking this matter seriousI have pictures, evidence, a receipts and credit card statements and a mechanic who is willing to testify for a job that Brake Check charged me, but did not do; yet they don't want to refund me or take responsibility also putting me and my family at riskAll I'm asking is for the money that I paid for the service that Brake Check did not performed

opportunity to win you back as a customer

Excellent customer service. Extremely reasonable pricing.

Ms [redacted] had a family friend bring her car in on 9-7-2014 complaining that the vehicle was running sluggish. [redacted] had found there to be a vacume leak but we could not detect where. They left and shortly after a mechanic called stating the spark plugs were fouled out. He stated because of an oil leak to which he agreed caused the misfire not because of the work we had 4 months prior.I deeply apologize for not being able to get to a resolution that meets with your satisfaction.Thank you[redacted]

We appreciate [redacted] feedback and understand his need to rectify the issue.  We have asked [redacted] to bring the vehicle in for a free inspection so that we could confirm that the rotors need to be replaced and would be more than happy to honor our warranties.  However, [redacted]...

refuses to bring the vehicle in.  Because of this, we cannot oblige [redacted] request at this time. - [redacted], Corporate Director

I am sorry to hear of the disappointing experience you had at Brake Check. I'm not sure of the details and would like to research. I am forwarding your notes to a Corporate [redacted] who will address these issues. We hope we can get to the bottom of this and win you back as a Brake Check customer.

I am rejecting this response because:
That is a complete fabrication of the truth.  Actually, not only did an associate at the actual store where work performed advise that I would get a refund, and that it had to be processed by corporate, but I was also advised of same at the corporate office.  I was told that the refunds would take a while to process, and that attempts would be made to expedite the process, ie. having a Senior Advisor contact me.  Any representation now, that I was advised otherwise, is unfounded and incomprehensible, considering all of the documented contact I have made regarding refund.....I certainly do not have time to continue to contact people regarding a refund if they have advised me I'm not getting one....???  At this point, if they do not agree to provide refund or resolve amicably, considering how much time I have missed in work, taking the car back several times, having to take it somewhere else, and all the times I have had to contact them, since I bill at $250/hour, I have legitimate damages and intend to file in small claims court.
Regards,
[redacted]
