We understand and empathize with the customer's feelings regarding her experience with our company, however, we have worked with her on several occasions to rectify her issue at no additional cost. There have also been at least two attempts made to contact Ms. [redacted] to further diagnose the issue...

with no response. At this time, we will not issue any refunds to the customer as services that were paid for were completed and vehicle proved to be in proper operating condition after road test. - [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
Although I was told that a rim was on order, I still have not received word back on the status, and there were two rims that were damaged. I won't be satisfied until I get the call that the rims are in and see how you elect to correct the issue. I used discount tires before to replace the rim and sensor and then brought them to brake check. I have been told this is going to be taken care of before. I am waiting for the final word and repair before I am okay with how this is being handled.

I am rejecting this response because:they wouldn't have honored the warranty to start with cause they charged her 800 dollars and didn't change anything so how are you going to warranty your parts when they took her for a ride for 800 and never changed anything on the car like I told chris at brake check the rotors on the truck are factory rotors so I know they was not changed but she was chared for new ones that's fraud so the bottom line is they can give her the 800 dollars back that she was charged for work that wasn't done or we can go to court and I will prove that the work wasn't done and im sure at that point it will be a lot more than 800 dollars and brake check know this aint the first time there reviews are filled with complaints like this it just this one isn't going away im willing to push this as far as I have to they took advantage of the wrong woman this time its a shame that a woman cant go in to a place of business without getting took advantage of

I am sorry to hear of the disappointing experience you had at Brake Check. I'm not sure of the details and would like to research. I am forwarding your notes to [redacted] who will address these issues. We hope we can get to the bottom of this and win you back as a Brake Check customer.

I spoke with [redacted] and he stated he did get the rf cv axle replaced with us back on 4-15-2013. He stated he came the following month to have the vehicle re-checked and we at 540 installed a lower control for the same side. His complaint was that the vehicle was shaking or wobbling when...

driving at high speeds. He felt it was the axle we installed. He then decided to go to the dealership and they determined that the axle we installed was defective, therefore replacing it out with a new one.

We have attempted to locate service records for the customer to initiate an investigation.  However, we were unable to locate service records associated with the customer's description.  We are requesting information to help us move forward (name, phone number on the account / invoice...

number).

Several attempts have been made to contact the customer regarding a resolution with no success. The customer does not answer and there is no voicemail available. Only a message stating "this provider is not available right now".  The customer needs to contact [redacted] at ###-###-####. - [redacted]...

I am rejecting this response because:
I DID have issues, with what part in particular when returning on 5/28- I didn't know, I'm not the mechanic; I describe and tell issue and front desk tech/clerk puts in what to check not me.. I would know the difference between issues of cv axle or control arm.. But did I not return for a steering related issue? Yes I did- I have no control over what you put in your notes or what to check... I take your word as a business..  And then I returned after the 5/28 visit for continuing issues and was told they could not diagnose it if could not duplicate issue on your little side street run... Does that mean I didn't have an issue or just that you failed to pin-point issue? Regardless of any of that, you claim to value me as a customer but are against honoring your work and parts. You, Brake Check 540, took possession of the part I paid for, you took it.. Yes I had to replace from a dealership, yes they told
Me it was faulty; do I have the equipment to check it? No- again I have to rely on mechanics at their respective businesses... You have neither denied not confirmed you took possession of part nor stance on whether you tested it... That is my complaint is that professionally and ethically your company should honor your products and services... Which is why I am requesting my money back if your product did not hold up... And you physically took it back- and yes I did not say each time I went back that cv axle was bad because I myself cannot diagnose as I am not a mechanic... Was told by other mechanics to relay to other mechanics... Thanks.. I am not asking for much just for product and services to be honored.

We have been in contact with the customer and have begun investigating the issue.  The customer has been cooperative as we work towards a resolution. - [redacted], Operations Director

I am going to deny her refund. Brake Check was not given the opportunity to correct any issues on vehicle when the issue occurred. Customer went to Just Brakes on her own and Brake Check is not responsible for her decision. - [redacted], Operations Director

We have spoken with the customer and are willing to offer settlement, pending the receipt of the dealership invoice she received.  Customer will email the invoice to our office on 4/26/17.

Although we can understand the customer's feelings regarding the matter, we have attempted to work with the customer to resolve their issues.  Parts and services performed on the customer's vehicle have not been found to be faulty on multiple occasions and Brake Check only uses OE parts for replacement.  A refund of the customer's money will only be taken into consideration upon an inspection of the vehicle by Brake Check.  - [redacted], Operations Director

We towed the vehicle to [redacted] to get a second opinion. After [redacted] inspected the vehicle., they determined that the code present did not warrant replacing the transmission. They did however replace the transmission fluid, gasket and reset the codes present. [redacted] drove the vehicle and stated there was nothing wrong with the transmission and included diagnosis findings on their invoice. We have continued to advise [redacted] that [redacted] is the expert when it comes to [redacted] transmission. We have instructed her to take it to [redacted] so they may continue to monitor and address any concerns she may have.
