Brand Name Bargains Reviews (71)

I ordered a truck load from this company. The customer service was excellent. David the salesman I dealt with put all my fears aside, his followups through the entire process was great. I received my order on time and the trucking company [redacted] shipped my load with a security seal and handled it with care. Excellent followups and a great trucking company. I started to open the pallets up and the quality of the merchandise was great overall, yes a few damaged, some pieces missing but that is common in this sort of stuff. The overall load was excellent with a good profit margin. I plan on doing a lot of business with Brand Name Bargains a very good company and excellent customer service. I'm not someone they paid to write this, i'm [redacted], owner of [redacted] in San Antonio, Texas.

Review: Item was ordered from [redacted] from brand name bargains, item took over 3 weeks to be shipped. when the order was place it was for over 300 items brand new. when the items arrived, only 150 pieces were in the packages. all the items were customer returns. most of the items were not brand new, as stated on the invoice.Desired Settlement: A 50% refund since half the items are missing.

Thank you in assisting us in assuring all of our customers walk away satisfied with their business dealings. We have reviewed and discussed the complaint by [redacted]. The merchandise purchased by [redacted], is sold through our website. To ensure there is no confusion, what is included has been printed it on our website for every customer and potential customer to review. In describing the load purchased by [redacted], the website explains the load will include “Over 200 items.” I have contacted the shipping department and they have assured to me [redacted] has received over 220 items. To further ensure this exact situation is avoided, a disclaimer is sent to the customer for their review and returned signed(attached) The disclaimer clearly states there are no claims of shortages as the quantities listed are merely an estimate. The contract also clearly states the merchandise is sold “as is” and we are not accountable for the received quantity. We also undercharged him for the freight. It ended up shipping from the [redacted] facility in [redacted] rather than [redacted] and we paid the extra charge of $950 to honor the order and original price for shipping. The merchandise that [redacted] ships is only that of clean overstock and NOT damaged or used items. It seems as though [redacted] is bending the truth to make his complaint seem more worthy.[redacted] was well aware of the risks involved in the liquidation industry. As a gesture of good faith and in anticipation of repairing our relationship, we have agreed to offer [redacted] a $500 credit towards the purchase of another order. We are confident we can offer [redacted], merchandise which will satisfy him. We would greatly appreciate that you close this complaint rather than having a long back and forth dialogue getting no where.Thank you,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Department store liquidation aka Brand names called me because I was on their website. They told me that they have a deal for new small toys with brand name for $2650. These would be overstock toys around 400-500 items. These items were from overstock store from department stores. I purchased them and paid with my credit card. The first issue was that I had to sign a as is and no refunds. I did sign the paper after they took and ran my credit card. I received 20 cases of product. Two cases was name brand items such as fisher price but they were discontinued items from the past. Low value to sell. All the rest of the cases was from China. All dollar store junk. This is a switch and bate company and not once did they mention (David and Issac) that I would be getting junk from [redacted] company in Hong Kong. This is a loss of money and hope nobody else does business with this company. P.S if you want that dollar store stuff its cheaper and easier to buy this junk from China.

I just received shipment for 4000 dollars of make up ordered . This is crap . I've been in business 10 years I've never had a company to rip me off like this one . The man David completely fabricated everything . This would be new shelf pull items . With high end makeup . It's not !!! Containers are empty . 25 cent pencil sticks and 50 cent cheap nail polish . . Unless you Contact me and make this right . I'll never order again . And would recommend no one else waste your money on this trash .

Review: Quality of Products did not meet description on website ad and [redacted] from Brand Name Bargains told me that I would receive high quality clothing and I didn't, the ad is VERY misleading!!! I had an expert evaluate the quality of the clothing that was shipped to me and she said that it was very poor quality clothing. I paid via paypal and they state that satisfaction guarantee satisfaction but they won't refund my money or won't help me get a refund from Brand Name Bargains. I was told by [redacted] from Brand Name Bargains to purchase this lot because I would double if not triple my investment but clothing is not even worth what I paid and there is no way to make my money back that I spent. I just need a refund, I am willing to pay the shipping to have the clothing shipped back if I get a refund. I have the written statement from the qualified expert that describes that the quality of clothing is bad.Desired Settlement: I paid in total for clothing and shipping $3750.00 I would like a refund of $3500.00 this total does not include the shipping I paid, the shipping I paid was $250.00.

We appreciate your mediating the issue at hand, as we would hate for a customer to walk away disappointed with their business transaction.

With that being said on 7/**/2014, [redacted] called us to order our Target Clothing. Our website is quite clear that the merchandise is not first quality but rather shelf pulls and overstock. We also indicate that this is merchandise suitable for sale at a flea market and similar venues. As an added measure and to ensure the customers' expectations are on par with our merchandise, we email the customer "Conditions of Merchandise", a packet of information regarding the customer's specific order. We encourage the customer to thoroughly review this and sign prior to shipment. At this point the customer has the option to accept these terms or opt out of this transaction and request a full refund. In these terms, which were signed by [redacted] and attached for your review it clearly states, "All merchandise is sold in AS IS condition, with no refunds, returns credits or exchanges offered or given" " Brand Name Bargains will will not be held liable for any dissatisfaction in regards to the sale or quality of merchandise." I believe we have put forth our due diligence to educate our customer to the best of our ability.

With that being said we are in the business of producing satisfied customers. We would like to add [redacted] to that group of customers we have amassed over the years. As a measure of good faith we are willing to issue to [redacted] a $300 credit towards any merchandise of her choosing.

I believe this gesture will recapture her faith in our company.

We appreciate your role in assisting our customer in having this matter resolved. We look forward to working hand in hand with your organization.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]Received poor quality clothing, the website states and shows high end quality clothing. I called Brand Name Bargains before purchasing and I spoke with [redacted] telling him how I was going to sell them on [redacted]. So he suggested that I buy Closeouts Special #3 ALL BRAND NEW!! CURRENT STYLES!! S*RS WOMENS'S CLOTHING. I paid for this lot on 7/**/14 @ 14:27:08 then [redacted] called me stating he was sending me papers to sign after receiving the papers I called [redacted] back because of the one that states as is, he told me that it was just a formality in order to get the closes shipped and I again I voiced my concerns about the clothing and he reassured me that I would double and maybe even triple my money buy selling these clothes on [redacted]. The clothing that I received if I would put them on [redacted] I would be losing money because of listing fees because the quality clothes will not sell on [redacted] and I will be out more money. With the quality of clothing that I received by the time I list and pay for the listing and IF any would sell I would be losing more money that what I put into this lot of clothing. I have an experts opinion on the quality of the clothing that I received. The clothing I received [redacted] told me and it even states on the website clothing value is $15.00 to $30.00, the majority of clothing that I received are clearance items and have a price of $1.99. I been selling clothing items on [redacted] close to 10 years, with the clothes that I received there I can't even get out what I paid for each item, if the store can't sell them on clearance for $1.99 how can [redacted] tell me that I can sell them for double or even triple what I paid for each item? I paid $3.50 an item. And also in the conditions it states that if I refuse this load I will pay for the return shipping and I am willing to pay for the return shipping but want a full refund on the clothing which is $3500.00. And the conditions of merchandise/warranties should be posted on the website along with the advertisement of the clothing.

Response:

At this point we honestly believe we have made every effort to close this claim. [redacted] was provided a terms and conditions of the sale with a full money back guarantee. [redacted] reviewed those terms and conditions, signed the contract and returned it to us. I believe we have convinced all parties involved that the load received is exactly as described.

In an effort of good faith to resolve the complaint we are still willing to offer a $500 credit towards anything on our website which is good for 1 year.

Best Regards,

Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]No I will not accept that offer of a $500 credit toward next purchase, I am OUT $3750.00 because of the quality of clothing that was sent, your ad is VERY misleading and [redacted] even told me that the clothes were high quality clothing and I would double if not triple my investment and again I cannot with the clothes that were shipped to me. And again I paid on July [redacted] and then sent me the papers to sign on July [redacted] and I ask [redacted] about the paper and he said it was just a formality in order to get them shipped and I again told [redacted] my concerns about the money I was spending and again he reassured me that I would get HIGH quality clothing and I didn't, so I want a refund of $3500.00 and I will take my loss on the $250.00 for the shipping fee and I will pay to have the clothes shipped back or replace the clothes that I received with HIGH quality clothing that I was suppose to receive in the first place and again I will pay for the shipping for the new clothing and when new clothing arrives I will ship the first lot of clothing back. Today I [redacted] reviews about Brand Name Bargains and found some unsettling reviews I have attached them because when I spoke with [redacted] before contacting Revdex.com he said that this has never happened with anyone else.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

My complaint about the description of the items that are kind of misleading. I ordered the Small Kitchen Appliances lot for $2,900.00 plus $350.00 shipping, with a "sample picture" of items that I'm supposed to receive. Majority of the items received were Continental brands, and small. There is no way that they would sell for at least $25 in Flea Markets, as advertised. I received a total of 200 units which turned out to be $16.25 per unit for the whole pallet. There is no way that you can sell a Citrus Juicer for at least $16.25 when you can find one at [redacted] for $12.00 maybe $13.00. Majority of the items can be found at [redacted] for a lot cheaper. No wonder people were walking by my space at [redacted] when they see my prices. The second time I rented a space at [redacted], I ended having to mark down all of my Small Kitchen Appliances when I realized [redacted] sells them cheaper! Now, I am just trying to get some of my money back. Another trap that this business use is the phrase "EASILY DOUBLE YOUR MONEY!". There is just no way to double your money when again, [redacted] sells similar items for a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, a lot of these businesses are actively operating in the U.S. I just think that these type of businesses do not reflect the American way of life and these should stop!
