This may cause some confusion about why the Cost of a product being billed may be more than the cost of the same or similar product found in a retail store, or online. In addition, OUT product pricing is largely dictated by the negotiated rates for our products under our insurance contracts. All of these elements are part of product cost, so pricing is not just the cost to manufacture of deliver the actual product.We Would also like to mention that when you purchase a product online or in a retail store, you are forgoing all of the administrative and full-service related aspects which are built into the payment structure of products that are billed to your insurance. First off I am not the Father I am the husband. Second this letter does not address the reason they see fit to charge the end customer more money for a product that they have been paid for by insurance already. This would be called balance billing and should not be allowed and is illegal in most cases.  And to say it was professionally fit is part of this price?? Tell me who this person was and when this happen. That makes no sense. I do not agree with the practice of this company on many levels including morally ! I expect a written apology, and a refund of our money at the least. ]

By way of background, Breg, Inc. is the provider of premium, high-value sports medicine products (e.g., cold therapy, knee, shoulder, spine, elbow/wrist, foot/ankle bracing and other orthopedic products) that advance orthopedic patient care. We have reviewed the specific information noted in your correspondence well as the desired settlement and would like to take this opportunity to address those concerns.
As requested, we have conducted a thorough review of orders submitted to our company and verified that there are no orders on file associated with the physician name “[redacted]” or associated with NPI license #[redacted]5. Our records do not reflect any of this information being linked to [redacted] in [redacted], either prior to or during the date span of January 5th, 2015 to March 17th, 2015. Additionally, we have verified that we do not have record of any credit card information for “[redacted]” associated with the account for [redacted] and that this individual is not listed as someone authorized to make inquiries or purchases on this clinic account.
Given the information provided to us in your correspondence letter, we hope that this information is useful and that it addresses your concerns. If you have additional questions specifically related to [redacted], we suggest that you contact the clinic directly to address your concerns.

Per the guidance we were given we billed appropriately.Your complaint stated the date of service was in 2014, however I show that he received the arm sling on 6/23/15 and signed for it on this date. I have enclosed thisdocument for your review.2) We also show that there was an invoice sent to you on 1/19/16 after your insurance processed our claim.3) We do show that you called our phone center on 1/28/16 and wouldn't provide any information to our teammember so they could help you.4) There has been four additional letters sent to you on 2/18/16, 3/8/16, 3/24/16 & 4/12/16.5) On 4/19/16 we show that your wife called in and inquired about the bill. Our team member stated that the claim was put towards your deductible in the amount of $95.00. Our team member also informed your wife that he would call your insurance company and see what we could do about Breg being an Out of Network Provider for your insurance. .6) On 4/20/16 a voicemail was left for you and your wife that we could reduce your bill to $76.00.At this time we cannot write off your daughter's bill, as we are responsible for billing our patients per the Explanation of Benefits. We have reduced the amount due by $19,00 but because we are out of network with your insurance company we are will to reduce the balance due to $50.00 if the balance is paid in full by the end of next week. shoulder, spine, elbow/wrist, foot/ankle bracing and other orthopedic products) that advance orthopedic patient care.Upon review of the details on this account, the following transpired:1) Patient was provided the brace on 12/12/14 2) No insurance information was provided, please see documents attached. 3) Billed patient per our patient pay fee schedule 4) Invoice sent to patient on 12/23/14 5) On 1/12/15 we were notified the patients address was considered a "bad address" 6) Patient was put in the phone collections queue to obtain correct billing address 7) Patient was called repeatedly from January through April 2015, no response 8) New address was found, patient mailed new statements 9) Patient's family member called in on 3/24/2016 and was explained to her that we have had no correspondence from the patient or patient's family during the year that we have been trying to collect on this debt. We have asked the patient to call the collection agency and negotiate an amount with them. 10) Patient's family member upset, stated she would file with a complaint with the Revdex.com and hung up the call.Our proposed resolution is to offer a discount to the patient of 30% and request that payment is made in full in order to honor this discount.
