Bryants Powerwashing Reviews (64)

The customer scheduled a house wash and wax to be done as well as an 8x12 shed (3 sides only, don't do side up against the fence) for an extra 50.00. We didn't clean the shed in the past. He asked for the shed cleaning this year and he agreed to the price on July 8th. We did reply back to customer...

by email and did receive pictures of his plants and the tech that performed the work did go out to the customers house and looked at all plants. The tech did take photos as well and said that the hot water did make the plants wilt but did not kill them. We here at Bryants Powerwash want to keep your business and  because you are a previous customer of ours we will send a refund of 100.00 for the concerns of the plants. Thank you, [redacted] vp

[redacted] the [redacted] of the business stated that the work done by the business does not include any chemical that would be able to rust or harm a lock. longer works for this business and the work that he did was a side job not known by the company and for cash so the customer did not have to pay the business’s price because they felt it was so expenses. This customer has already cheated this business by having the side job done and there is no way that the product used caused this issue three days after the work was done. The business will not be refunding the price for the locks to be repaired.

The [redacted] of the company is incorrect. The job that I paid for was the power washing of the house. The damages that occurred to my home were from the job that I PAID FOR. The damages that Bryant's Power Washing caused were for a paid and accounted for job that was confirmed by both parties. The employee ([redacted]), acting as a representative of the company, promised to repay for the damages & locksmith (I have documentation in the form of text). The amount of the locksmith was $150. So technically Bryant's Power Washing agreed to repay me for the damages caused by their product. I do not care whether or not [redacted] works for your company any more. At the time of his employment, he was acting as an agent of your company, and admitted to the damages and agreed to repay the damages (once again...I have documentation).  I will only be satisfied in this situation once the company that committed the damages to my home repays me in the form of a check for $150.00. The 'side' job that [redacted] speaks of has NOTHING to do with this complaint and should not brought up again....that situation was a clear lie that was told to him by the same employee whole stole from the company and later gave him funds (which did not come from me) in order to try to keep his job. If [redacted] desires to continue to believe a known liar and cheater he can....but Bryants will be repaying me for the damages and expenses to my home. I am not willing to accept any more excuses in the matter.

To [redacted] myself [redacted] went to [redacted] house onJune 16, 2014 and looked at door. His door had some type of coating on it,which was flaking off. I explained to [redacted] that we use low pressure and ourchemical we use is a [redacted] product which is 100% bio degrable bought at [redacted].I told...

customer that I could demonstrate to show him that it is impossible forthis to happen,  he said no way yourcompany did it I was willing to provide myself [redacted] refused for me to showhim- all he wanted was insurance information and nothing else. I told [redacted]if he bought paint I would send painter out to paint door because we were thelast person out there. He also rejected me on that Bryants is not responsiblefor anything. When power washing a home it is impossible to not clean doorwater and chemicals will run down home. Again if [redacted] would have let me showhim how we clean with low pressure he would also no that Bryant’s power-washingdid no damage.

Thank you for replying.

I am very disappointment with the reply and the type of service delivered which is much below my expectations I had when I signed up. When we say power wash I guess we are saying to clean and not to keep the dirt lingering on the walls. This is also reflected in the quick, shallow way the cleaning was done and when water gushed into the house and flowed into the entrance and wet the carpet, wall, ceiling and stairs. The paint on the main door was also damaged.

I have used other service companies for power wash and I got better results with much better prices. I am afraid that I can't recommend your service to others. It is so frustrating that I have to pay you again to complete your subcontractor's job.

Review: Two times their workers came out to power wash my house ( because they had a malfunction on a piece of equipment the first time) and sprayed water into an electrical socket. The first time the guys left before I could ask and the power came back on but the second time my power never came on. I found out what had happened through the electrician that I had to hire. We lost power in our kitchen and outdoor sockets. I spoke with the owner who was rude and offered me a 100 dollars to shut me up and was cussing at me on the phone. I told him to please call my home owners warranty so he could see the charges and he hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the electrician's bill. The charges are 207.80.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with the business regarding this case. This customer's home was powerwashed and water was sprayed into an electrical socket. The business uses low pressure was and homes are designed or should have covers on outside sockets to protect against water coming into them. In this case the customer's socket did get water in it and instead of contacting the business directly hired an electrician before notify the business of the issue. The electrician replaced a GFI breaker in the home. While the outside socket might have gotten water in it from the business's job this did not cause the breaker inside the home to go bad. The business went to the customer to talk about this and while their action did not cause this concern they offered the customer $100 as a gesture of goodwill. The customer declined the offer and began yelling at the tech. At that time since the customer declined their offer the business feels this matter was addressed professional in the time frame they were given by the customer but cannot refund for work done by a business without the opportunity to see the issue first.

Regards,

I read Bryant's Powerwashing response....I want to first clarify something....I never spoke to a tech let alone yell at one. The guys that came to my house were professional and friendly. I told the secretary who answered the phone that. They were nice guys and I don't yell at anybody. I only spoke to the owner after the incident. Secondly, I faxed the charges to the company. They saw all the work that was done. Mr. B[redacted] told me he wasn't an electrician but has a friend who is an insisted that my inside socket was already bad. The electrician that came to house said that when the outside socket blew, it blew the inside one as well. Mr. B[redacted] cussed and yelled on the phone when I didn't accept his 100 dollar offer and hung up. I thought speaking to the owner I would have the same courteous and respectful attitude that his techs and secretary have....that isn't the case. I reject what I have just read.

Review: I had a powerwashing done to my house on Auguest 23, 2016. One of the reason I went with Bryant's is that they clearly stated that they use environmentally friendly solution which based on citrus. When the job began and during the washing I had noticed the heavy odor of chlorine.

It is the fact that they mislead the truth about their advertising. I am also very sensitive to various of chemical odors and chlorine is one of them. The odor lingered for several hours which gave me a severe headache which I'm not satisfied.

I would like to be fully refunded because they misrepresented the truth and most of all it was hazardous to my health.Desired Settlement: I would like to be fully refunded amount of $ 209.00 plus 3% processing fee.

Review: Prior to booking Bryants' Power Washing Company to perform services at my home, I specifically asked whether company used Chlorine Bleach, which was undesirable and the sales representative Tabatha, assured me that the company did not use bleach. She said that Bryant's used an environmental friendly "citrus" product. I also asked the worker the same question before he starting the work and was reassured that the company used an environmentally friendly product with a "citrus" aroma.

However, based on the smell, and the discoloration of a black towel that happened to be on the ground near a window, it is clear that Bryant Powerwashing Company applied Bleach. That is false advertising! I never would hired the company knowing that they used bleach.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $ 269.00 paid.

I am not satisfied with the response that no damage was done to my property. My "Exhibition Roses" were damaged by the Chemical when Bryant's said was perfectly harmless. I would like a full refund, which isn't nearly enough to compensate for my loss.

Review: This company also has a chimney service. I contacted the company to inquire about fixing a gas vent cap on my roof that had blown off in a storm and now water was coming in. I remember them asking on the phone if it was the chimney, and I had to explain it was the vent from the water heater and HVAC unit not the chimney. I was informed that a technician would come out and it would be a $75 inspection fee. The tech came out and explained that he didn't have the part, but could go to [redacted] or [redacted] to get it and then come back on a day it wasn't raining to repair it. The inspection was less than 5 minutes of me showing the water causing rust in the basement on the water heater and pointing out the missing cap on the vent pipe on the roff. Two days later I called the company to ask about when it would be fixed; to which I was told they would call me back. After they had not called back, I called again two days later to which I was informed that this was something their company doesn't handle and that the tech was "being nice." I would need to find a handyman or some other company to repair this. I asked about the $75 fee since there really wasn't an inspection and no work done, and they said that was nonrefundable and by coming out that was an inspection. I explained on the initial phone call what it is what I wanted a gas vent cap, not chimney, and if they truly didn't handle it they should have declined to send someone out then.Desired Settlement: I would like my $75 refunded for an inspection fee. The tech came out and looked at it for 5 minutes. If the company doesn't do this kind of service that I requested on the phone, a tech should not have been sent out.

Response:

The customer called and asked to have her chimney looked at and agreed on the 75.00 inspection fee. Our tech went out and did an inspection on chimney. When the tech came back to office to turn his invoices in he said to me that this lady asked if we could replace a cap for her hot water heater and he didn't know if we do that. I said no, its not the chimney. I called the customer and asked what exactly this cap was. She said "a cap on the roof that is for her hot water heater and hvac unit that share a pipe together." I explained that we don't do that, we specialize in chimney caps. She then said "well, I don't feel I should pay the 75.00 inspection fee for my chimney because it didn't take him very long." I said " that's what we had you scheduled for and we explained our procedure the day you booked." she said "ok, ill call a handyman company, thank you." The customer paid by check at completion of the inspection before the tech left.

Review: Received an estimated to stain and power wash my deck and gazebo. This entails staining all the wood. The flooring of the deck is made of composite material. The technician took about two days to perform the work. On the day he proclaimed his work was completed, I discovered all the wood was not stained as provided on the estimate received. I called office once I discovered incompletion of work performed. They informed me they would need to talk to the technician first to hear his side of the story. I expressed my complaints to the office by telling them all rails of the gazebo was not stained and the inside wood of the gazebo not stained. And to tell them this is unsatisfactory work on their part. The office in return, replied will have to talk to the technician when he returns to the office on Monday, 25NOV2013. The office did not want to hear or take my complaint until speaking with the technician. In which I found very disturbing. Not wanting to hear my side of the story until speaking the technician. I had the technician's phone number. I believe it was his cell phone number. I questioned the technician regarding the completion of his work. He informed me that he was finished with the job. And complained about how he had to remove the lights from the railing, the stain I provided was oil based and old, that it took him three days rather one day to complete Also the job was horrible, stain was horrible and he is glad it is over with. The technician made it seem like it was my fault for his mishaps. I replied to the technician, the estimate to stain all the wood associated with the deck and you did not stain the gazebo railings. His response well the paperwork says no railings. This not true, my receipts states all wood is to be stained. And I do not know where you see that part is not to be stained. Now I have a deck with stained railings but a gazebo without stained railings. This is an unfinished service that did not honor their contract. And of course a Supervisor is no where to be found for this business.Desired Settlement: I not pay for a service that was not fulfilled based on the agreement of services.

To Whom It May Concern,

When [redacted] called into our office to express that she was dissatisfied with the service we provided her, the secretary that she spoke to took down all of the complaints that she had and told [redacted] that she would speak to the technician that was out there and pass everything along to the owner so he could call her back. When our owner [redacted] called [redacted] back he attempted to explain to her that the estimate we originally provided for her did not include the railings/spindles on the screened in gazebo. [redacted] and [redacted] discussed this on numerous occasions.

Even though our original estimate did NOT include the railings/spindles, [redacted] has agreed to send our painter back out to the property next week to seal the spindles on the inside and outside of the gazebo in attempt to satisfy [redacted]. We have left a message with [redacted] to give us a call back so we can set this appointment up and are just waiting to hear back from her. Please let us know if there is any additional information needed.

Thank You,

Bryant's Powerwashing

Review: I am writing to file a complaint regarding damage to our landscaping caused by Bryant’s Power Washing. Despite our repeated requests, Bryant’s has refused to provide us with the product information and safety sheets regarding the chemicals used to clean our siding and has failed to contact us to discuss next steps for restoring our landscaping to its original state. I provided a copy of this letter to Bryant’s yesterday as a final courtesy to no avail. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this extremely upsetting situation. Additional details are below.

On Tuesday, August 5th, Bryant’s powerwashed our end-unit townhome. We have flowerbeds that wrap around the house, which we have spent years planting with a variety of high quality annuals, perennials, shrubbery, and trees. I specifically asked Bryant’s when hiring them on the phone whether the product they used could damage our landscaping, to which the representative said “no.” There is an FAQ on their website further stating that their product is not “harmful” to “foliage/landscaping, animals, people, the environment.”

By Thursday, August 7th, two days after Bryant’s services, all of the plants, including the trees, in the flowerbeds began to wilt and exhibit other signs of damage. By Friday, August 8th, the damage was substantial. All of the flowering plants turned black and died. The dogwood began dropping its leaves. The leaves on the 30-foot maple closest to our house (approximately half of the tree) began turning brown and dropping. All of the leaves on the fig tree, which was just about to ripen, curled and blackened and most of the figs either split open or fell off. The foliage on the bushes started to turn black. Finally, the dark brown mulch, which I had just put down a couple weeks earlier, turned a different, lighter color.

I first contacted Bryant’s regarding this property damage the evening of Friday, August 8th by phone. The representative recommended we heavily water everything and take pictures so that the owner could review them upon returning to work on Monday. I emailed 10 pictures illustrating the damage the same day along with a detailed explanation of what had happened. I also included 2 pictures taken on July 27th, prior to Bryant’s services, to illustrate the landscaping in its original state. As I stated in my email to Bryant’s, the difference was quite dramatic.

On Monday, August 11th, I called Bryant’s to verify the pictures were received, which I learned had been stripped from the email. After repeated attempts to email the pictures, which Bryant’s said they never received, I insisted that a technician be sent immediately to visually inspect the damage. A technician did inspect the yard with my husband on Tuesday, August 12th. My husband provided the technician with a CD of all the pictures. The technician stated that the product should not have damaged the landscaping even at full strength. His opinion was that the heat from the water shocked the plants. He asked what we were seeking, to which my husband replied that we wanted our landscaping returned to its original state. The technician committed to emailing us the product information and safety sheets that day and stated that the owner would call us soon.

I called on Wednesday, August 13th, Thursday, August 14th, and Tuesday, August 19th reiterating our request for the product information and safety sheets and asking to speak with the owner about next steps. I also emailed on Monday, August 18th. I have received a variety of excuses as to why the owner is busy or alternatively the staff promises we will receive a phone call, but we never do. I have not received a single communication initiated by Bryant’s, by email or by phone, since the technician came to the house on Tuesday, August 12th.

We are extremely frustrated by Bryant’s unwillingness to remedy this situation. In the absence of the product information and safety sheets, we cannot allow our two small children to play in sandbox in the flowerbed. Those sheets should be readily available to any consumer, and it is inexcusable that we have yet to receive them. Bryant’s has damaged our property and as such they have an obligation to return it to its original state. We have spent much time and money beautifying our landscaping. The damaged, 30-foot maple, which overhangs in our yard, is actually rooted on Home Owner’s Association (HOA) property. We are obligated under HOA bylaws to maintain our property and they will likely be seeking an explanation soon as to what happened to their tree.Desired Settlement: We desire three outcomes. First, we would like to be provided a copy of the product name used to clean our siding as well as the associated product information and safety sheets. Second, we want Bryant's to restore our landscaping to its original state. Specifically, we want all plants that were killed to be replaced (three potato plants, six geraniums, three petunias, six coneflowers); we also want the mulch, which is now discolored, to be removed and replaced. We want all replacement items to be purchased from the same nursery where we originally purchased them ([redacted]). We want all the dead leaves from the trees to be picked up. Third, we want a letter stating that if the maple, dogwood, and fig trees (all of which have blackened and dropped leaves) do not properly bloom next spring, Bryant's agrees to replace them as well.

Response:

In response to this matter we are still handling the situation. Our tech went out and looked at all the concerns regarding the plants. Our tech explained to the husband that we used [redacted] for cleaning solution and we turned the heat up on our powerwashing unit due to the customers siding having heavy algae and mildew on the siding. The information on the [redacted] product can be obtained online through home depot. The plants are not dead. They are unsightly in shock from the heat but will come back. In a case that this did happen before the plants came back. For the inconvenience we are willing to offer the customer a 50% refund. We apologize for this matter. Thank you, [redacted]

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's offer. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I paid for the original services by check for $245. I will wait for the business to promptly provide a check for $122.50 (the offered 50% refund) by check to my address and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I will contact you at: [redacted].

I continue to frustrated by the company's attitude. Some of my flowers are very clearly dead and not just "shocked." While the technician said the product was [redacted] from [redacted], there are multiple such products, none of which are citrus-based as advertised on the website and all of them require dilution, contrary to the technician's representations. I am dumbfounded as to why it is so difficult to simply send us the exact product name with the product information sheets and remove any confusion about which product the company uses.

I am concerned about the company promptly responding and would appreciate your assistance in facilitating this matter. I really hope it doesn't take another month to reach resolution.

Regards,

Review: On September 20, this company power washed my townhouse and decks using a chemical that smelled like bleach. As a result, there is now extensive damage to numerous trees and shrubs (over 20) at my residence (front, side and back). I reported the first signs of damage (three shrubs on the front) four days after the power washing. The following Monday, I saw a Bryant’s truck pull up briefly and then leave before I could get out of the house to talk with them. Since then, I have called twice, the last time Friday, October 4, to report additional damage and was told the owner would get back to me. Having no response from the company, on October 14, I sent them 24 pictures and a letter requesting that the owner come to view the damage and discuss reparations. This was delivered by [redacted] on October 15 and signed for by [redacted]. I had a professional landscape designer come to assess the condition of the shrubs and trees. She said it looked as if most, with one possible exception (an 8-year-old [redacted]), would survive, but that it will take two to three years for them to recover to their former condition. For the cedar, half of which has no needles, I will have to wait until late spring or summer to determine whether it has any chances of fully recovering. I have estimates from her for replacements costs of the plants/trees at their current size. She also recommended that I have all affected plants professionally pruned and systemically root-fed to strengthen them, in the hopes of improving their chances of recovery.Desired Settlement: 1) Refund of the $380.00 fee for powerwashing.

2) Reimbursement of $400 for pruning

3) Reimbursement of $200 for feeding

4) Reimbursement of expenses for color photocopying ($28.50) and [redacted] delivery ($44.42)

5) Replacement of the [redacted] next spring or summer if the landscape designer determines that it cannot recover to its former state. Cost to be determined pending my nursery locating a comprably-sized tree. The largest carried by [redacted] in this area is smaller, and costs $495, plus 60% for installation -- and I'm not sure how much for removal of the existing tree.

Total if the cedar does not have to be replaced: $1,052.92

Response:

My name is [redacted]. I went out on the 27th of September to see what [redacted] was speaking of. I did notice some shrubbery that looked like it was going into an early dormant stage. I spoke to my technician, [redacted], that originally did the work at the property. He said both the house and the deck were very dirty so he turned up the hot water temperature so he could try his best to give 100% results. Unfortunately with Autumn here, the plants go into a dormant stage this time of year naturally. I've been in business for 18 years and we have never killed plants or shrubs, [redacted] plants will come back next year. The chemical we use is [redacted] product bought from [redacted], which is 100% biodegradable meaning it positively does not kill plants. Bryant's does apologize for the early dormant stage of plants. No settlement will be given from Bryant's.

Thank You,

Bryant's Powerwashing

I've used this company for several years, I contacted them a few months ago to let them know that the technician that powerwashed and sealed my deck did not use a protective cover between my home and the deck when deck was sprayed which left the residue on my aluminum siding. I called the company 3 times only to be told they would let the owner know and get back to me, have not heard from anyone. I would not recommend this company for any services, not PROFESSIONAL!!

Review: I contacted Bryant's Power Washing on May 15 to inquiry about an estimate to power wash and stain/treat a wooden deck. An employee named [redacted] and I had several emails back and forth and by May 20th we reached an agreement on price and services, exact quote from the email being: "For us to clean and seal the entire deck (all flooring, railings, support beams and banboards) would be a total of $320." I was told that the technician wouldn't need access from inside, that ladders would be used to power wash and stain and that quote, "We are scheduling for within a week to a week and a half for the work to be started."This is when the lack of adequate communication begin with this company. I was supposedly put on the schedule May 20, to have the work started within a week to a week and a half as stated and on June 2 I have to send an email following up on what is going on because I had received no call and nothing was happening with the deck. The technician arrived on 6-11-14 for the deck washing and 6-18-14 for the supposed staining. First of all, the power washing removed some of the stain already on the deck, but I assumed this would be fixed by the application of the sealant. Upon returning home on 6-18-14 and seeing that the check I had left was gone, but that the deck looked untouched, I was very upset and called immediately. The employee who answered, [redacted], wanted to talk to the technician first. I told her that I would be taking pictures and sending them to Bryants. The technician called me and I asked how it was possible to apply sealant to a deck that was covered with branches, leaves, seeds, and all the debris from the tree overhanging the deck. He said that he tried to remove some, but admitted that he "should have done a better job" and that he would be "more than happy to come back out and redo the sealant". This same day, 6-18-14, I sent 2 emails with a total of 6 photos as examples of the condition of the deck and my dissatisfaction with their service. I sent an additional email on 6-19-14 with 4 more photos and requesting that the sealant be done again. I received an email from an employee [redacted] on 6-20-14 stating that quote "We are going to speak with the technician that sealed the deck for you and also show the pictures to the owner and the owner or manager will call you on Monday to rectify the issues you are having." Monday came and went and I didn't get a call. I emailed (once again) on 6-25-14, to see what was happening with my request to have the sealant done and to add that a refund may be easier on everyone and I received an email from their employee [redacted] again stating quote, "[redacted] is due in the office all day tomorrow to attend to everything here and you will definitely receive a call from him tomorrow." He did not call the next day, but rather his wife did and at the end of the business day when I was unavailable to answer. She left a message saying that she wanted to talk to me. It's still hasn't been settled to this date. I send a follow-up email on 7-2-14 stating that I wasn't interested in getting the run-around from them any further or having them try to talk me into circles, I just want either a refund or the sealant applied properly. I haven't heard from anyone since. This company is woefully unprofessional and I believe that they take advantage of the clients often not being home for the process and they take the money and do next to nothing. My deck looked worse now than it did before they touched it. I have all emails, photos and voice mails in my possession to attest to the above statement.Desired Settlement: I gave Bryant's ample opportunity to amend the awful job they did and to reapply the sealant, but instead they have chosen to ignore me. At this point, it would be honorable of them to refund my money for service not performed properly.

Response:

To whom it may concern. [redacted] contacted our company end of may and spoke with [redacted] and got a price quote for her deck to be cleaned and sealed. She was explained that no one is required to be home because everything we need is outside and we call all of our customers the day before we clean and when we come back out to seal and don't expect payment until we come back to seal. We cleaned her deck june 14th. We sealed deck on june 18th in a clear. [redacted] called office saying her deck is not sealed and wants tech to come back. Our tech was in office and called her back 5 minutes later and [redacted] told her it is sealed and wait till tomorrow morning to spray it down with water to see it beading, not to do until morning so that the seal that is there can dry properly. She did and told office that its beading but it looks bad. [redacted] was out in the field working and I ([redacted]) did leave messages for [redacted] to call me. [redacted] states in emails that we played cat and mouse with the phone. Any time a customer is unhappy for what ever reason I talk with them over the phone for quality assurance. [redacted] did not state that she wanted color until after it was sealed in clear. Unfortunately we can not apply more sealer because its already full of sealer and will not dry properly. This sealer is designed to be absorbed into the wood not sit on the surface. We are still in the process of working with [redacted] but [redacted] is not satisfied with our process of handling this matter. We will come to an agreement soon.

Thank you, [redacted]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The message that was send via the Revdex.com website offered no solution to resolve the matter. Rather, it was filled with 2 fabrications, first being that I told them that the deck beaded properly upon testing with water...this is untrue and I never told them this either via email or phone. I have all communications saved from them and can therefore verify this. Second, she said that they have left messages (plural)... I have received exactly ONE voice mail from a [redacted], which she left at the end of business on a Friday no less (when I was in rush hour and couldn't pick up my phone). They claim this is because THEY would rather talk, but I am the customer and I prefer email and they should work with what is convenient for me. I have made it clear what I want to rectify this matter and have no need to talk about it with them. I gave them the option again and again over email to either agree to fix the improper sealing job or give me a refund. At this point, I don't trust them to touch my deck again and want a refund. They put the customer aside and this shows again and again. They are dishonest and rude and offer no resolution. I would still like it shown on the Revdex.com website that this complaint is not resolved. Thank you.

Below I have copied and pasted the email correspondence where their employee [redacted] told me that a pamphlet would be left that would allow me to choose a color and I did not get this pamphlet, so they chose to put clear sealant on themselves:

[redacted] May 15to me

[redacted],

For us to clean and seal the entire deck (all flooring, railings, support beams and banboards) would be a total of $320. We offer either a clear sealant or do have a few different color selections, whichever you would prefer. Our sealant comes with a two year weather proofing warranty, meaning it will repel water and protect the wood for up to two years.

We are scheduling for within a week to a week and a half for the work to be started. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule. I look forward to hearing back from you!

They did not follow through with this and I maintain that they took my money and did nothing.

Review: In July 2014 Byrants Power washing was contacted to power wash the siding of my residence at [redacted]. The job was done by employee '[redacted]'. Once the job was completed there was damage to my front lock of the house. The spray and chemicals this company used caused the lock to be corroded we could no longer use our keys. I was locked out of my house. A locksmith had to be called and charge $150.00 to cut open the lock so that I could enter my home. I have kept the receipt from the company to prove my extra expense. When I spoke to the Employee/representative of Bryant's to complain, [redacted], he apologized and said that he would refund me directly for the error on his and his company's behalf. He/they took full responsibility for the damaged caused to my lock and promised to refund immediately. I have documentation in the form of text messages from the employee and representative of the company stating several times it was their error and I would be refunded for the extra expenses I incurred. Since then, they have never refunded me for this expense. I have called and spoken to several people at the company, including the [redacted], and they have avoided refunding what their employee said they would do previously.Desired Settlement: Bryants Power washing must refund me for the expense for the locksmith $150.00 that I paid out of pocket due to the damage their machines/worker caused. I have documentation showing the payment to the locksmith. I have documentation from the employee promising a refund. I would like a check from the company sent to me.

[redacted] the [redacted] of the business stated that the work done by the business does not include any chemical that would be able to rust or harm a lock. It is a solution a customer can buy from a local home store and is an environmentally sound product. The employee the customer is referred to no longer works for this business and the work that he did was a side job not known by the company and for cash so the customer did not have to pay the business’s price because they felt it was so expenses. This customer has already cheated this business by having the side job done and there is no way that the product used caused this issue three days after the work was done. The business will not be refunding the price for the locks to be repaired.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

Regards,

I contracted with Bryant's to have my and deck washed as well as weather treat the deck. .They did a good job on the house, but a terrible job on the deck. No even half of the old sealant came off. When I complained, I was told that they don't guarantee the removal of the old sealant, only the dirt a mold. I could have done as good a job with the water hose.

Review: on 21 July Bryant's Power washing performed a stain and seal on my 2 level deck. My complaint is the mixture the technician used left the deck wood fuzzy and gummy, if you rub it with your hand, the stain comes off, it caked up like some type of paste in the whorl holes of the wood and there are missed areas. I called Bryant's on 21 July and stated my complaint and was informed they would send a technician to determine what needed to be done to correct the issue, if it needed to be cleaned prior to a re-stain/resealing. I called again on 27 July to complain and received a call from Bryant's stating the technician would be to evaluate the job and determine what needed to be done on 29 July, he called at 2:30 on 29 July to say he wasn't coming due to rain. It did not rain. I took this day off of work to discuss this matter with the tech. On 3 August after numerous calls again the technician shows up, the same individual who did the initial stain and seal. He stated the deck would look the same if he restrained it again because when power washed that one year worth of dirt and grimed was removed and that was the reason the deck looked the way it did now. I did not agree with him and said as much. He stated he would call his office and see what they wanted him to do. After Bryant's treatment my year old deck looks worse now than it did before they performed their service, worn and several years old. I believed the power washing was to high powered and the water temperature was to hot for the wood. The technician laid one coat of stain and seal and was done. When it dried I had a fuzzy, gummy deck. As of his 3 August visit I received nothing in the way of getting this issue corrected.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for Bryant to provide me with the product I purchased in accordance with their advertisement. The stain looks nothing like the brochure, I understand it won't be exactly like the brochure picture, but I do expect something very close to it. Not the complete opposite. I want someone of experience to come and evaluate and provide corrective maintenance to correct the problem. If they have to repower wash the decks I feel I am due a refund of some of my money due to expensive water bill I will incur.

When we arrived at Mrs. [redacted]' property on July 15, 2015 our technician [redacted] spoke to Mr. [redacted] prior to starting any work and explained to him that they had waited too long to have their deck properly treated after it was installed and that there was a very good possibility that the powerwashing would "fuzz" or rough up the deck due to the prolonged weathering of the deck without proper protection. After explaining the probable outcome, Mr. [redacted] told our technician [redacted] to proceed with the cleaning as scheduled.Unfortunately the deck did fuzz up like we explained prior to any work being started. This will over time be something that will lay down. Our owner [redacted] spoke to Mrs. [redacted] and explained everything to her. He did offer that if she would like to have someone (we have a contact she can call or contract someone else) come out and sand the roughed up areas of wood, we would be more than happy to send our technician out at no charge to apply another coat of sealant for her even though we told Mr. [redacted] up front what the outcome of the deck would most likely be.At this time we are waiting to hear back from Mrs. [redacted] as to what she would like to do. Please let us know if you have any questions or require any more information.Thank You,Bryant's Powerwashing

Thursday, August 27, 2015 I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: A week before Memorial Day 2014, I was in search of a company to power wash my house and my deck as every time I raised my blinds in one of the bedrooms there was mold or green algee growing on the shingles above the window. I contacted a few companies and came across Bryant's Powerwashing. I contacted the company and told them I wanted my deck and house powerwashed, they told me they would schedule me in two weeks, and that the cost for powerwashing my house would be $194.25, and that they were also offering a special for a special was to repel dirt when it rained. They asked if I wanted my deck sealed as well and I asked the cost and they told me $380, so I said okay. On 6/13 I received a call stating that I would finally get my house and deck powerwashed on Monday 6/16. The tech did not come on 6/1/6, nor was I called to let me know he was not coming. I had to call to ask what happened, and I was told the tech went home sick, and I was rescheduled for 6/19 for the powerwash of the house and deck I couldn't really tell that the house had been powerwashed, other than the spider webs around the front door were gone, that was my only evidence. When I raised the shade/blinds in the bedroom the next morning, I still saw the mold and green algee, the front steps and railings also still looked dirty. I did not call them, but wanted to wait for when they would come back out to seal the deck. Bryants called me to tell me that they were coming on 6/27/14 to seal the deck, and at that time I told them I no longer wanted the deck sealed, the cost was too much because there had been too much time that had lapsed, and I no longer had the extra money to spend and also I was still seeing mold and algee outside one of the bedroom windows. I was told that if they did not come out to seal the deck I would pay full price for the deck and house powerwashing, I was pretty upset with and even though I told them I really didn't have the money anymore, I was told I had to go forward with the deck sealing or pay more money than what was quoted me for the deck and house powerwashing. I was put on hold, as the Bryants rep contacted her manager, and she came back on the line and said I could take the amount of $634.25 and divide it into 3 payments, so I said okay, as I believed I had no other choice, and I was told to leave the 1st of 3 payments for the tech to pick up. The tech came on 6/27/14 to seal the deck, but he did not pick up the payment, so on 6/30/14 I wrote a note and mailed it along with a payment, expressing my displeasure with the missed spots, and asked when they would come back out to powerwash the areas missed. I did not hear back from anyone, so I called, and spoke to a Bryant rep, who acknowledged getting my letter and payment, and proceeded to tell me that no one was coming back out to take care of the missed spots, because those areas are not covered during a powerwash, I would have to pay extra! I was shocked, and very disappointed, the molded spot I look at every day and which was the reason I contacted a powerwashing company would cost me extra. I was told those few shingles on the side over the bedroom window, the roof, and the front steps are charged as extras. I was not told this at all when I called to set up an appointment. Also in my 6/30/14 letter I asked if the tech used my sealant because it was not in the same location where it always sat, and that would be totally unfair to use my product and still charge me for it, but I did not get a response. Bryants misrepresents what their services for powerwashing covers.Desired Settlement: I have paid $211.40 for the service provided, and I do not wish to pay anymore, as I am not satisfied with the service, and I believe the service was misrepresented to me.

To Whom it May Concern,

[redacted] originally contacted our office on May 21, 2014 and scheduled to have her home powerwashed and waxed and the deck cleaned and sealed for the amount of $634.25. This price included a 25% off coupon off of the house wash since she was having the deck cleaned and sealed at the same time. (The normal price for her home was $259 without the deck seal, but with the coupon her house wash price was deducted to $194.25) We had [redacted] on schedule for Monday 6/16/2014 but unfortunately our technician did call in sick that day. We spoke to [redacted] on Wednesday 6/18/2014 and got her right back on schedule for Thursday 6/19/2014.

When our technician arrived at [redacted]'s property he noticed that her deck currently had a [redacted] stain on the wood. Our technician recommended reapplying the same product to ensure the most even coverage. We explained to her that if we applied the [redacted] product that she supplied for us there would be an additional application fee of $225. [redacted] opted not to have the [redacted] product applied and decided to have a clear sealant applied which would keep her price at the originally quoted price of $634.25.

When [redacted] expressed to us that she did not want to have the deck sealed any longer, we explained to her that if she did not have the deck sealed she would no longer qualify for the 25% off coupon for her house wash. (It plainly states in our advertisement that you can only receive 25% off of the house wash if you have the deck cleaned and sealed at the same time) Our [redacted] also told [redacted] that if she would like to proceed with the sealing on the deck, she was willing to allow [redacted] to make three payments to satisfy the total amount due. This is not a payment arrangement we typically offer, we normally expect payment in full the day the work is completed. Our [redacted] was trying to work with [redacted] so she could get all the work done she requested. [redacted] agreed to this arrangement and we proceeded to seal the deck with the clear sealant.

When [redacted] contacted our office after all of the work was completed and told us that the steps and area of roofing on the side of her home were not cleaned she was explained that those areas were not included in the work she requested. When she originally called and scheduled, she was informed that the house wash would include cleaning all siding from the front of the gutters down and we would also rinse all windows and window trim as a courtesy during the powerwashing process. Any additional items including for example steps, sidewalks, roofing, etc. are additional. [redacted] assumed that the steps and roofing would be done with the house wash, but never asked specifically if they were included.

We have completed all work that [redacted] requested and expect payment in full. We have received one payment in the amount of $211.45 so the remaining balance owed is $422.80 and are still willing to accept the remaining balance in two payments. We would be more than happy to clean the steps and area of roofing for [redacted] but there would be an additional fee since those items were not included in the work she was originally quoted for.

Please let us know if there are any other questions or if any other information is needed.

Thank You,

Bryant's Powerwashing

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

Regards,

I knew nothing of a coupon for 25% off, I searched the Internet and found Bryants Powerwashing location and phone number. I was told over the phone that Bryants was currently offering a special on power washing a house and a deck and a hot wax special. I was not told what the power washing would entail, but assumed that if a company power washes a house they power wash the entire house because I was asked what the square footage of the house was, and I was given a price based on the square footage. I was never told what the full price would be to powerwash my house and/or deck separately or together, nor was I told what the full price would be when I was told that if I did not get the sealing I would have to pay full price. I guess by leaving out that powerwashing is $295 that's all Bryants could collect instead of $635.

I was not told that the roof, steps or even that small area over the window that had shingles on it would be a different cost, I don't understand why that small area over a bed room window on the side of the house could not have been cleaned, nor do I understand why the front steps could not be cleaned, these are parts of the house included in the square footage. I can understand the roof because it is high, but not the areas over the bedroom window and the front steps. As far a letting the tech come and seal the deck, I had no choice in the matter. I did not want the deck sealed as too much time had lapsed, and I did not have the extra money, but I was told that if I did not have the deck sealed I would pay full price for the deck and house powerwash (which as I said before was not a very good job). And I was never given that full price, but the way it was inferred to me, it made it appear that the price would be outrageous.

I am not satisfied with the work that Bryant's Powerwashing performed, and I also believe the powerwashing service was misrepresented to me. I propose paying the additional $84 ($295- $211.40 already paid), and being done with this matter.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the business. The roof and any shingles are not including in the price of the power washing because it is a different cleaning process than the siding of the home. An steps, sidewalk, deck etc. are not included the price of the power washing as that is the siding of the home. The customer presented a [redacted] coupon to the business for 25% for the services. However if one of the services was not done the customer would not be eligible for the price value and the service would not be discounted. The business is still more than willing to continue the payment plan arrangement previously made even though this is not a service normally provided to a customer as payment is due upon the completion of the job.

Bryant's powerwashing has offered no solution, and I absolutely did not present a coupon I called various companies by searching the Internet and found their contact information through the Internet, and I was told about the special their were offering for powerwashing. Bryant's is being dishonest about many issues regarding this matter, I am willing only to pay the remaining $84 for the lousy powerwashing that was done, and no more.

Response:

The Revdex.com spoke with the business. After the business spoke with the customer a check is being sent out by the customer for $380. This will settle the remaining balance due.
