In response to the Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] submitted by [redacted] residing at [redacted] disputing disconnection of service for non-payment.We were unsuccessful with reaching Ms [redacted] to explain what took place According to our records, we did not find where CenterPoint Energy was negligent in providing Ms [redacted] with adequate notification regarding the disconnection for non-payment.Please know that CenterPoint Energy has tried everything possible to get Ms***’s attentionThe invoice of $was issued on 8/4/and was originally due on 8/22/ The day after the due date an automated courtesy call was made on 8/23/as a reminder that the bill was due on 8/22/ On 9/2/the new invoice was generated and a payment had not been received therefore a shut-off notice was included with the new invoice asking for the past due of $be paid before or on 9/16/ The payment was not received and the order to disconnect the service was assigned to a technician Once the disconnection order is assigned, it is too late to cancel the order The technicians do not have up to date data in the fieldIf a payment is made on the same day of the disconnection, the technician has no way to see the payment With that being said when Ms [redacted] made the payment, the technician had not completed the disconnection order This is why the payment is requested to be made before the disconnection date After speaking with customer service, Ms [redacted] was asked to make her payment online or over the phone via Bill Matrix, because agents do not take payments for security reasonsOnce the payment was made, the agent advised Ms [redacted] to call customer service back so a reconnection order could be scheduled Because of the circumstances the reconnection order would have had to be manually entered in the system for the next business dayHowever Ms [redacted] did not call back and the order was not processed for 9/20/ Ms [redacted] called on 9/20/and tried to get the order scheduled for the same day We do not issue same day orders unless an overtime/same day (OT) fee of $is paid Ms [redacted] was not interested in paying the OT fee and the order was scheduled and completed on 9/21/ We would like to recommend for Ms [redacted] to check with her post office in regards to not receiving her gas bills According to our records, Ms [redacted] has a P.OBox listed for her mailing address In addition, all CenterPoint Energy customers have hour self-service access to their account information through Telephone self-services and Online self-serviceWe sincerely appreciate your business and thank you for the opportunity to respond to your concern.Regards,Angela [redacted]

This is in response to the Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] submitted by [redacted] regarding the premise of [redacted] *** We have researched Ms [redacted] ’s account and found there has been no payment received since 4/12/Once the account has been disconnected for non-payment, the system does not have a threshold amountThe records show the service at the referenced address has been disconnected for non- payment in When a disconnection notice is issued, regardless of the amount, the customer is at jeopardy of being interruptedAs a courtesy, an automated outbound overdue bill call was made on 5/11/at 4:pm to [redacted] According to our records, the previous balance of $was due no later than 6/3/(Please refer to attachment) In order to have the service restored, the past due amount, reconnection fees and if there is no security deposit on the account, one would be required to be paid before the service is reconnected We did not find where a previous deposit was applied to the accountBased on our findings, we are unable to waive the fees as Ms [redacted] requestedWe encourage Ms [redacted] to use our automated phone service to extend her account anytime she is unable to pay after receiving a disconnection notice to avoid future occurrencesRegards,Angela [redacted]
