Dear
MsDiaz:
Thank you
for your email of July 17, The
company conducted an additional investigation into our insured’s loss due to varying
statements obtained and the fact that some of the damages appeared to be
inconsistent with the facts of loss as reported. This included an investigation conducted by
our Special Investigative Unit and obtaining an impact analysis from an
independent Accident Reconstructionist.
On July 17,
the company concluded our investigation and we are moving forward with all
repairs listed in the original estimate and the supplemental estimate received. The shop completing the repairs was informed
of the same and it is our understanding that our insured returned his vehicle
to the shop on July 23, 2015. Once the company
receives the final invoice upon completion of repairs payment will be remitted
accordingly
Sincerely,
TRay

Frustrating beyond belief I was referred to one of their brokers by a friend and contacted him for healthcare coverage for my family and went back and forth via email and phone discussing plans Eventually I stopped getting responses and tried to track down who he worked for to see if maybe he got out of this line of work since I was no longer receiving responses via email or phone I contacted NGIC thru their website and got a response via email explaining my agent was having some personal issues and said she would have someone else reach out to me The next day I got a call from the original agent while I was in the middle of an online meeting I took the call, explained I was in a mtg and I understand personal issues and said he could refer me to another broker so I could get coverage before the ACA enrollment deadline and avoid the impending fine if he didn't have time to help me I then asked if I could call him back in an hour or so He said he would call me that evening so I responded to the lady at NGIC to let her I know I heard from him and would not need another agent to get involvedOnce again no call as promised, no responsesOnce again I contacted NGIC and informed her that I've now missed the enrollment deadline for ACA and am likely to incur a min$fine to which said she passed my information onto a related party and to "please be aware that National Health Insurance Company does not sell any ACA complaint policies Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with purchasing insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace" Of course I assume she meant "compliant" and now am even more confused and in need of speaking to someone I am writing this review in lieu of filing a Revdex.com complaint as it's now been more days with no follow up from a related party or anyone I've wasted nearly two and half months, missed enrollment deadlines and essentially am back to where I started having made zero progress Perhaps my experience is just a rare fell through the cracks kind of issue, but it is my experience and I have a thorough email chain and phone call logs to validate it

National General Insurance, AKA Good Sams, is over priced and only care about getting the extra dollar from thier customersI found insurance percent cheaper and I terminated my account in good standingThey conjured up a $debt and sent it to a collections agencyI will NEVER use national general insurance againPoor companyBeware!

Dear
MsDiaz:
Thank you
for your letter of April 11, 2016. The
company appreciates the opportunity to respond to the complainant’s concerns
The
company apologizes for any frustration the complainant has experienced as a
result of our liability determination.
Our records indicate that one of our claim managers was able to review
and discuss how we arrived at our liability decision with the complainant. The company determined that our insured was
primarily at-fault, 80%, due to an improper and unsafe lane change upon
entering an intersection. The company
also determined that the complainant contributed to this loss, 20%, as she had
a greater duty to yield when making a right turn into said intersection from a
stop sign.
The
complainant also expressed concerns regarding damage to her car not included in
our estimate. The company advised her
that we would assess any supplemental damage to determine if it is related to
the loss and to have the shop completing the repairs to contact us regarding
this matter.
Thank you
again for allowing the company to respond
Sincerely,
T***

I started a claim on 9/and because it was close to holidays, jo call back within hours, although customer service was very courteous, so I call on 9/and the agent still didnt call back so I contacted a manager and he provide the rental and days later the adjuster came out to auto body shop gave an estimate, but underestimated so they did a tear down and he came out the following week so now were days into it and he came out again and the cost rising and the shop says its a loss, so I call and tell the manager after days into it, that they should pay for the rental which they did extend itAnd days later I called and ask for and update he says oh its a loss, now why I had to call is beyond meHe gives me the loss mitigator name so I call on october 19tj, hes gone, I tru the next day he out of the office, I call on monday hes out, and this time im furious noreturn call from scott shall, so I contact corporate and get his manager barbara carrera, very pleasant and helpful, she say paper work sent out on 25th, here it was nov 1st still no paperwork, I call agan on nov 4t, she says theyll send it out fed ex, finally mos later I get the paper work and I call because im to receive a check and I leave scott a call ko eeturn callThis company is horrible, I would not recommend them, im very disaatisfiedIts awful, that I have to call to get paid, and ask for paperowrk to xlose this claimThe only positive was the manager stepped in to assist me

This is a terrible auto insurance company to work with They take forever to approve claims before the work can be completed, leaving the claimant high and dry It's been almost weeks now and I'm still waiting for NG to approve a final submittal to have the work on my car completed NG takes their time and does not care about getting anything done in a timely manner In the meantime my rental car is costing NG a lot of money, but apparently they don't care All these delays over the past weeks are due to complacency on National General's part I have no idea when my car is going to be completed

If you want reliable insurance for your vehicles, do NOT pay for a policy with National GeneralPay premiums for 10+ years and file claim for a totaled carA month later, not one update, lien holder cannot get information and 20+ voicemails to agent, supervisor and manager have went unansweredRun while you can!!

This company refuses to call me back or respond to my emailsI purchased a plan through them and now have a question and yet they won't return my callsI've called multiple times and emailed multiple timesThey were great when I was buying a policy but when I have questions now there is no one to be found

Worst company I dealt with so farThey suddenly increased my car insurance without letting me know in advance saying that they asked me (by email, duh) for my foreign drivers licence and they never receive itI never received an email from them, so they decided to increase my insurance with $to a total of $When I contacted them to see how come I got my insurance increased and was willing to send them the documents they were asking..they said it's too lateWhat a scam of a company! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company has received your correspondence as it relates to the complainant, *** ***, and we thank you for the opportunity to provide a responseMs***'s loss was reported to the company on 04/02/for hail damages sustained to her residence on
03/23/2016. The initial payment on her claim was issued on 05/02/for the damages sustained to her dwelling and other structures. Supplemental payments were issued on 06/02/that included personal property as well.Part of Ms***'s dwelling payment did include carpeting. As per the policy, wall to wall carpeting is covered but only to those rooms having damage and only those areas that are deemed continuous without a door between the applicable rooms. This was explained to Ms***. This is industry standard. Additionally, there was a follow up inspection performed after the initial payments were issued. As a result, additional payments (as noted above) were issuedEach of the inspections performed were done in the presence of Ms*** and her contractor, and it is noted on the inspection report that the scope of damage included was agreed uponWe feel that Ms***'s claim has been handled and settled in a fair and timely manner

Absolutely horrible! How they are still in business is honestly beyond me I was in a no-fault accident 6/23/ It took the claims adjuster weeks to get over to the body shop to assess the damage Supplemental repairs were required after the initial tear down which required the claims adjuster to go back to the body shop This took another two weeks While the repairs were being made I received a letter dated 8/16/from their claims department stating that the vehicle has been declared a total loss Obviously this came as a shock to me as my car was at a body shop and in the process of being repaired My claims representative assured me that this was an oversight and that obviously they would not declare it a total loss since they had issued two checks to the body shop The repairs were finally made and the claim was closed Last night (less than months after the repairs were made) I attempted to sell my car only to discover that they have submitted a salvaged title to the DMV I called my claims representative who once again didn't answer my call I called the customer service department who stated that I needed to speak to the claims department I finally got a hold of claims representative who told me that it would require a supervisor I asked if I could speak with a supervisor and was told that it would take too long I informed him that I rarely ever receive a call back from anyone and that if I had to hold for several hours that I was willing to do so I was then told that it could take days/weeks to get an answer or to figure out what happened I am now left with a 27k loan on a vehicle that is worth less than half of that with a salvaged title and will likely lose my buyers To say that I am frustrated would be an understatement

Denied coverage of our trailer roof which was in a massive hail stormStated we did the damage another wayOut pick up insured with The ***, paid for our pick up which sustained 6k of damage in one weekShould have had our trailer with themWe always check out roofOut trailer is just over one year oldWe were told to check with the trailer manufacturer to see if they would payWorst insurance everStorm was in Nissw a, MNBaseball size hail hit out truck and trailer*** spent days at the camper park, assessing damage to other vehiclesNever had a problem with our roof until the stormFunny our truck was hail damaged, but our trailer parked next to it had something else happen to it

My husband was sideswiped by one of National General's clients two weeks agoMy husband and I carry full coverage through Progressive, who we called first to report the accident just in case the other party did not have insuranceOut accident happened on a SaturdayI called National General on the following Monday to report ensure that the other party had reported the claim (which they didn't) so I filed a claim on their insurance with the police report and quote of repairs in handTwo weeks later, we finally had a claims adjuster come out and take pictures of the entire car, inside and out, which wasn't necessaryThey then told us that it would be 5-more days before we could send our car in for repairsI absolutely refused this and called the agent in charge of our claim and he told me that I would be able to take my car to any shop I chose for repairs and that he would give me a reservation number for a rentalTook three hours to get the reservation number for EnterpriseWe get there and they tell us that the insurance company only approved a Nissan VersaMy husband is 6'3" and cannot fit into a Nissan VersaWe own a Malibu which is twice the Versa's sizeAgain, we refused and they bumped us up to a Chrysler As soon as we got the rental, we drove both vehicles to the Chevrolet dealership (about miles from the rental store), and dropped the vehicle off, signing necessary papers for themI got a call from Progressive today saying that the Chevy dealership called them to have them pay for repairs and just wanted to confirm with me since I had made it clear that the other insurance carrier would cover the chargesI gave them the phone number of the National General agent I have been working with, told them that he had supposedly spoken to the Chevy dealership yesterday, and that my insurance was NOT to pay for any of the repairs since Nation General has told me they are covering them all (over $5,in damages)I am sure that there are going to be a lot more issues with this companyThis has been the WORST hassle I have ever had to go through with an insurance companyI understand that, as a business, you are supposed to be leery of insurance claims, but when MY insurance agent called you and has all of the documentation necessary and is willing to cooperate with you, it shouldn't take a potential month to get the vehicle in the shop for repairsI hope to God that I NEVER get into accident with someone carrying this insurance company!!!

Please allow this correspondence to serve as a follow up to my initial response and subsequent rebuttal by our insured, *** ***On 12/30, this claim was given an urgent status by the handling adjuster. The following day, 12/31, the ***'s vehicle was inspected, the appraisal report was submitted to the handling adjuster who reviewed it and issued payment the same day. A payment in the amount of $5,was issued along with the appraisal report to the body shop chosen by the ***'s. The adjuster's notes reflect that the shop was closed until today - January 4, Barring any supplements that may be presented, the ***'s collision claim is now closedThank you

Worst experience ever when I had an accident!! The adjuster assigned to my case was unprofessionalHe told me he had too many cases to even speak with the other insurance companyIt felt like he wasn't in my side and the accident was clearly not my faultI did not feel like he had my back, I was made the middle man because he was too "busy" to do his job

All I can say is they are very sneaky and there is something going on there that isn't completely legal or professionalFirst off, every one else's complaints about the people being rude are 100% trueEvery time we go to pay our premium, the people working there tell us different dollar amounts than we are supposed to be paying, it's never the same amount, it doesn't add up to what it should and they ALWAYS demand that part of it is paid in cashWhether we are using our debit card or a check, they say we have to pay part in cashToday we went to pay it and the guy told us we owed an amount that was over $more than what we knew we owed and demanded that we had to pay it ALL in cashTheir card slider wasn't broken, he just said it had to be all cashI had asked around at a few other insurance companies around and they all agreed that something doesn't sound right about the way they are doing paymentsDon't trust them!

Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company has received your correspondence as it relates to the captioned complainant, and we thank you for the opportunity to provide a responseMs*** reported her claim to us on May 19, for purported hail damage occurring about months
prior to this report. An inspection of the *** residence was ordered the same day. The inspection was done on May in the presence of Ms***. The final report was received by the handling adjuster on June and payment was issued to Ms*** on June in the amount of $($2,replacement cost estimate, less $1,deductible).Quite simply, the damages incurred were deemed repairable and not extensive anywhere to the point of a complete new roof being warranted. The repair estimate did include all areas of damage resulting from this reported damageIf you should have any further questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact meScott AP***, Manager, Regulatory Affairs

I have been an insurance agent since and I have never done with a more unprofessional and rude company in my careerMy sister was rear-ended by a drunk driver with no lights in a vehicle insured by this companyThe driver fled the scene and had to be located by neighborhood securityThe police were called and a report filedThere was enough damage to knock the bumper nearly off the insured vehicleIt would seem like an open and shut caseWe were made aware something was wrong when my mother, who never filed a claim, received a denial letterThe company said it was denied due to "low impact" I called a spoke to a supervisor and was told it would be reviewed as I did not believe that it could be called "low impact" if it was enough impact to knock a bumper almost offWhen the supervisor called he advised me the accident never happened and said that my family made up the accident and picked their insured driver out of all of the driver's in Durham, NC to blame it onIt is now being review by a manager and I have reported them to the department of insurance

Dear
MsDiaz:
Thank you
for your email of July 27, 2015. An
insurance policy is a contract between the named insured and the company. While we understand the complainant’s
frustration, we cannot cancel a policy that is in her son’s name at her request. Our records indicate that the complainant’s
son has since requested to have his policy cancelled and his request has been
honored
Sincerely,
