Dear
Ms. Mace:
Thank you
for your email of June 16, 2015.  With
the limited information provided for the consumer we were unable to locate any
instance of multiple phone calls being made from any of our underwriting companies.
We were also unable to locate any quote
or policy issued to the consumer by name and we do not send texts to solicit
business.
Please note
that no phone numbers, either for the company making the calls or for the
consumer receiving the calls, were provided in the inquiry received and we were
only able to conduct queries based on possible phone numbers located in public
records.  Furthermore, there was no indication
in the complaint of the name of the company contacting the consumer.
In order to
conduct a more thorough inquiry into the consumer’s concerns we would need the
name of the company she is receiving the calls from, the phone number(s) the
calls are originating from, and the phone number(s) belonging to the consumer receiving
the calls.  We take the consumer’s
allegations seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to research this
matter further, provided the additional information needed to do so is made
available.
Sincerely,

The complaint filed by [redacted] is hereby acknowledged as received.  I, too, had a little bit of a difficult time finding Ms. [redacted]'s claim; so, I called her to ask a few questions, which assisted me in locating her claim.  In doing so, she advised that she did speak with a...

representative of our company yesterday (12/28), who provided her with a claim number and the name of her assigned adjuster.  She was further advised that an appraiser would make contact with her within 72 hours to set up an inspection of the damaged vehicle. Some of the confusion resulted from the wrong company name being provided in her complaint.  In order to ensure proper identification, here are the following specifics related to this claim:
Insured Name:  [redacted] (husband of [redacted])
Name of Insurance Company:  National Automotive Insurance Company
Policy No. [redacted]
Claim No. [redacted]
I expect this claim will proceed according to our normal processes and procedures from this point forward.

Dear
Ms. Diaz:
Thank you
for your email of July 7, 2015.  Our
records indicate that our insured purchased four tires from ASAP Reliable Tires
on July 16, 2015 at $87.50 each, totaling $350.00.  In addition, the company was informed that
our insured purchased four rims/wheels from an individual on Craigslist for a
total of $350.00.
Only two of
the tires and wheels were damaged in the loss occurring on June 4, 2015;
therefore, the company only owed our insured for the cost of two tires and
rims/wheels totaling $350.00.  The
company also reimbursed our insured for the cost of an alignment and total payment
of $429.95 was remitted to him accordingly.
Sincerely,
T. Ray

I spoke to Wayne today for verification of my insurance he was very rude make me feel so bad also ask me so many questions even the rental car agent was amazed that mr.Wayne was so nasty and rude with me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11013942, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

It has now been 58 days since a National General insured totaled my new car by hitting it in the rear.
The car was financed by Ally and the payoff was about 6250.00 dollars ( more or less ). Ally has yet to receive a check.
58 days waiting is not acceptable.

This is the worst insurance company I have ever experienced. I would highly highly not recommend this place. First they said my car was totaled, then they said they were only going to fix $4,500 where the damage when there's $12,000 worth of damage on my car. So I would have to pay 7,000 put of pocket. Then they said they had looked at the wrong value for my car. So they were going to fix it all. Now they're saying that I didn't have Towing in my full coverage policy which I do because I had another Insurance Agency look over it. So now they are trying to make me pay $700 out of my own pocket for the towing fee. Even though it was in the policy and now they're saying that it was never in the policy to begin with even though I quoted her on the phone what the price I pay is and she said that's how much full coverage with Towing would be. They are awful it's been a month-and-a-half and I just four days ago found out whether my car was actually told you're going to be fixed. And all they do is make you run around. Like they said they would call us back within two days and they didn't so we called back for 3 more days before we got a call back they said they would call us back and didn't. And that's all they do is say they're going to get back to you and call you back and don't. So if you want an insurance agency that actually does their job and get your car fully fixed and back to you I would just let you know that this is not the place.

I have been dealing with a claim with NGI since January. After thinking everything was said and done I get a call from Mrs. S[redacted], claims agent in Winston Salem asking me about the at fault individuals injuries, the location of my car and whether I have paid for my repairs. I told her his condition should not be affecting my claim as I have sent her the police report stating I was in no way at fault and it was the pedestrian's intention and state of being. She said Ok and ended the call. Today I receive and email for my insurance to renew and I see that my premium has drastically increased. I log onto my online account and see that my claim is still open. So, I call NGI and the rep states that the witness statement disagrees with my statement. I told her that I have the witness statement and it says the exact same thing I did. She paused and said that's strange you may want to call the claims adjuster. So, I called her twice the first time was busy and the second time I got one ring and then her voicemail. I am livid that they would falsify a claim for what purpose? I will be ending my policy with NGI after this is said and done.

Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company has received your correspondence as it relates to the complainant, and we thank you for the opportunity to provide a response.
Mr. [redacted] purchased a policy on-line with Imperial for the term of 03/13/2016 - 09/13/2016.  In the rating...

and quoting process, Mr. [redacted] indicated that he had coverage with another insurer prior to purchasing the Imperial policy.  This allowed him to receive a discount on his premium.  Accordingly, on 02/27/2016, policy no. [redacted] was issued to him with a total premium of $460.00.  However, in order for the discount to be allowed, Mr. [redacted] was required to submit proof of such prior coverage.  A letter advising such was issued to him, also on 02/27/2016.There was no information provided to Imperial evidencing such prior insurance.  Therefore, on 04/03/2016, Mr. [redacted]'s policy was amended to remove the prior coverage discount previously allowed.  This resulted in his premium being increased to $592.00 for the same term of 03/13/2016 - 09/13/2016.
If Mr. [redacted] were to provide the needed information in order to grant the prior coverage discount as requested, the discount would then be granted back to him.  This information, if available, should be provided in short order in order to best serve him.
If you should have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Waiting on a claim since may

Horrible company! Overpriced for the coverage. I dropped them for a different insurance and have been trying to get a refund from them for 6 months!! Every time I call they've lost another part of my address and say they've corrected it and my check will be coming. Never comes.

This was the worst service I have ever dealt with. Their insured hit me and caused me to need to see a chiropractor for 7 months. Missing work and then they told me my injury was not sufficient enough to qualify for anything more than $2000 worth of pain and suffering. I have been in pain for 7 months due to their insured and the best they can do is give me lost wages and $2000. The insurance agent was rude and acted like I was an it for requesting more. Completely unwilling to speak with me through my preferred method of communication which is email since they are not in the office to speak with me after my business hours. COmpletely unprofessional and unrealistic and after everything I went through it is just completely ridiculous when this was in no way my fault.

                North Carolina Auto Policy
Underwritten by: Integon National Insurance Company
Dear [redacted]:
Thank you for your email of February 11, 2014.  The company appreciates the opportunity to respond.
Our customer cancelled his annual policy mid-term and we have confirmed that the calculated refund of $526.22 is correct.  Premium upon an insured requested cancellation is calculated via short rate in accordance with our personal auto manual in North Carolina whereas we retain a percentage of the total premium based on how many days coverage was in force.  There was no separate cancellation fee charged as stated by our customer in his complaint to you.
Our customer also advised of a quote he received from his agent for adding his son to his policy.  The company has no record of this quote and no additional driver has been added to his policy nor has there been any adjustment to his premium during this policy term.
Thank you again for allowing the company to respond.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:  It is not accurate.  Fit's of all I agreed to the fact that all carpet will be replaced.  Secondly my policy clearly states wall to wall carpeting I have nothing show and exclusions.  Finally your measurements are not accurate on what you claim you are paying.  This is not acceptable at all.

[redacted]

My 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 was involved in a four-car accident in which the at fault driver was insured by National General. The experience has been terrible. First of all, it took forever to get an adjustment because I had to take pictures, in my time, of my vehicle rather than National General sending out an adjuster. When that process was finally complete (there were some technical issues) I was told to bring my vehicle to any shop near me and National General would send me a check for the estimated cost of repairs. I had to call them to ask about a rental vehicle, which they said they would cover. However, when I dropped my vehicle off they had reserved a standard car. Perhaps not law, but it's pretty typical to receive a vehicle equal in class to your own. I ended up getting a Jeep Patriot and was content with that.
If those had been my only concerns -- I would not be writing this review BUT...
I received a call from the body shop letting me know that they were waiting on the insurance to readjust the vehicle because the total estimation did not include some necessary parts. The body shop called me multiple times to tell me they could not get approval from National General. Finally, they did and finished the repairs. The whole process took almost a month and not once did National General call me in regards to it.
MEANWHILE -- my rental vehicle company called to alert me that my rental was expiring. I called National general and got a voicemail -- the person handling my case was on vacation so I left a voicemail. To this day, I have not gotten a call back. My repairs finished, after the rental date, and I immediately picked up my vehicle. Now National General is refusing to pay the rental for the extra days needed for the repairs (because it took them forever to get the vehicle readjusted (which, by they way, they did through pictures again), which they needed to do because they didn't adjust it properly the first time. I called and spoke with a manager at National General and he refused to listen or act on my concerns and stated that I would just have to pay it. His reasoning is that they paid 22 days for a 5 day fix (which was adjusted incorrectly AND which was held up by National General!). I asked to speak to someone above him and he said I could file a complaint with the BOI, which I did. It took me several hours to get a hold of the supporting documentation, but I felt that it was necessary after the costumer service and lack of responsibility I was faced with.
There is a remaining balance of 88.27 that I feel national General should pay since it reflects 3 days in which my truck was still being repaired. Their INSURED hit my vehicle -- not the other way around. I have had to bend over backward to get what is typical from auto insurance companies. As of today, they are still refusing to pay that amount. I would not recommend National General to anyone.

I am rejecting this response because: They are liars.  They never sent me a letter or let me know that they needed proof of my prior insurance.  Nothing on their website told me any such information.  The website wouldn't even let me print my insurance ID card.  They had to email it to me after I complained.  They pulled a typical "bait and switch" tactic trying to get me to pay more than they quoted for my policy after I paid the down payment.

Please do not use this company. We had our RV covered with NGI. as of today we are still dealing with the 6 month process and our unit isn't totally repaired. It was clear from the beginning of the claim that this was going to be ridiculous. They try to get out of paying for obvious damage (stating it was past damage) We had no leaks prior to the tree failing on it.
We have had numerous emails, conversations with 3-4 people in this company. The unit will be fixed however, the interior will not match and they don't care. So it will be depreciated and they could care less. I wish I had checked with Revdex.com before using this company.
