Good company to work with. I would recommend them and would use them again. Installation of carpet was above average. Good job Empire.

Overall we had a great experience with Empire regarding our carpet purchase and installation.

When I called Empire Today, the mother company, for an in-home appointment to discuss purchase and installation of a window treatment, the response was immediate. After that? Not so much. While the projected date for our installation was June 17, it was not completed until yesterday, July 26. I had indicated early on in the process that we would be leaving Florida for our primary home in New England, so we needed prompt action on our order. I figured that would happen. After all, when I called for an in-home appointment, the response was immediate. And the sales representative also speedily arrived at our home. As did the measurer/installer from the Empire Today affiliate store in Tampa, FL, evidently the local store contracted by Empire Today to fill our order. I was so wrong.
During the lengthy waiting period, I received no calls with an update unless I attempted to phone Empire's [redacted] number to get some information. (Empire Today’s phone records – the company notes that every call is recorded - will verify my many attempts to find out where our product was and when we could expect the project to be completed.) Only occasionally did I receive any information or call back. And when I was contacted with the promise of another call or some kind of action, it was rarely followed up or through on.
When I have called the 800 number – the only number available – there is no way to directly speak with the Tampa Store which was actually “servicing” our account. (I even tried the telephone number listed on the Tampa Store’s ** homepage, but got a fax machine.) While dealing with this incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction, I ceased to have any confidence in the product if/when it showed up or its installation.
My skepticism was proven accurate when the installer mentioned above finally got to our home. He called earlier to indicate that the remaining payment must be paid in full before the installation would begin. (This fact is stated in Empire's lengthy Terms and Conditions information.) I asked what would happen if there were something wrong with the product or a problem with the installation, and he indicated that was the way it was: No full payment, no installation. I was less than pleased to be told by my friend who was there for the installation that the installer had drilled an unnecessary hole in the wall before determining the proper site. She also sent a picture of the hole which was obvious as was the dust from the wall left on the floor after he left.
When I spoke with the installer this morning – I had his number because it was in my cellphone from his calls yesterday – I asked him what had happened with the extra hole in the wall – albeit a small one. He said he didn’t realize the wall was cement so he couldn’t affix the attachment for the pull there. But it wasn’t a big deal: he said all I needed was a little spackle to repair it. I reminded him that I had paid $600+ dollars for what I assumed would be a worthwhile product and professional installation.
My experience with the larger Empire Today company in general and specifically The West Florida Revdex.com member Empire Today, located in Tampa, has been totally unsatisfactory, disappointing and exasperating. Incompetence and inconsideration are the only “qualities” I can assign to their performance. My brother was President of a Massachusetts branch of the [redacted], and I believe he would be concerned with Empire Today carrying the standard of the Revdex.com.

I was very satisfied with the sales representatives professionalism and ability to meet my floozing needs. The ceramic installation went smoothly. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Empire to family or friends who need new flooring.

Last Friday I had my third installation of products in my home from Empire Today. I like doing business with them because they are timely, cost effective, efficient and clean.

I had laminate and carpet installed. From the start the salesperson was wonderful very informative. The laminate installers showed up on time were very respectful to my property and did the work in the timeframe I was given. They answered every question I had. The carpet installers showed on time too. Did a great job with taking care of my personal property and did the job in the timeframe I was given

Had hardwood floors put in by the Empire in Indianapolis. It's been 3 months and we still aren't finished with the whole process. Don't use Empire ever. The salesman misrepresented the product. The store said they would let me pick out new floors because they were only halfway done anyway. After they said that they stopped returning my calls for almost a month. When we did hear from them finally they didn't really seem to care that I was unhappy with the service. We decided that sincwe we had our house torn apart for a month that we would just get them finished with the materials we originally picked out. It took another week and a half to get the pieces ordered and installed. Since we didn't change the materials they agreedon't to refund us a portion of our install price. It's been a month now and still no reimbursement check and no phone call.

Good experience in all aspects.....scheduling, sales, and installation. no complaints.

EmpireToday was the best choice I could have made! This company has a stress free system from the original sales appointment to the completed installation. My carpet looks and feels wonderful! The local (southern California) sales and installation teams take care of everything allowing the flexible scheduling I needed. I was able to complete the painting and floor repairs before installation by pushing out my installation date. Now the job is complete and absolutely beautiful!
Thanks to Joe, the salesman and to Michael and Jorge my installers. I couldn't have had a better experience with any other company. Thanks, EmpireToday!

I cant sat enough good about my experience with this company. I called them because another company had screwed up royally and I was in desperate need to get carpet installed. The sales guy was understanding and not pushy. The selection was plenty, and they even matched the lower price of the other company. And best of all, it was done 24-hours later!

On 10/29/15 we had a sales rep. from Empire come to give us a quote on vinyl flooring. The estimated start date was 11/06/15. When the installers showed up, They said that the vinyl had been measured and cut wrong. So we rescheduled for 11/11/15. On that day Empire called and said the installer was a NO-SHOW. No call. Nothing. Now my wife has taken two days off. Lost Pay. Rescheduled again for 11/16/15. At 8:00 the installer called. Said he was on his way. When he got at my house, he said the vinyl had a hole or a tare in the kitchen part of the flooring. Besides they had not ordered all of the finishing parts of the flooring job.
After three attempts at working with Empire and three days of lost money for my wife. We have had enough. We told them to take the flooring back. I didn't want to deal with them and I wanted my deposit back.
They are sending money back, but that will take up to 15 days.

We purchased a new home 2 hours from where we currently live. The day of settlement we had a sales rep from Empire come to the house. He basically set our flooring chooses out in front of us and then sat there. He wasn't very talkative. We chose our floors and paid him by credit card. Our purchase was over $5,000 and we did not get a receipt from him. He stated that he would send us a contract and description of the sub floor material that was going to be used by the same evening. We never received it. We called the main office and got disconnected from the girl and she never called us back. We called again and got another girl who also tried to contact the sales rep with no luck. She put in several tickets to get him to respond. We were beginning to think it was all a scam. We ended up driving 2 hours to the new home to see the sub flooring for ourselves. We finally received a contract and receipt 2 days later. We wasted 4 hours of driving because no one could find the sales rep. The installers were amazing. Three [redacted] that were so pleasant and friendly and answered all our questions. They took good care of the place and cleaned up after themselves. They were a pleasure to be around. Very hard workers and it looks amazing. You could tell they enjoyed their work.

A professional experience from start to finish!

We had a great experience with Empire. Everything was done on time and we are thrilled with our new floors and carpet. Empire was great to work with. Everyone was so nice too. Great customer service. I would definitely choose them again and have already referred them to friends.

On 6/15/2016 we had a representative come out to give us a quote on carpet for our house. We decided to go with Empire Today and below are the issues we encountered with company.

1. The total amount of the job came to $5600.00, so we gave Empire a check for $3000.00 and were going to finance the remaining $2600.00. The sales representative called in our check information to someone while sitting at house. The next day when we checked our bank account and Empire ran the entire amount of $5600.00 through and drained our bank account. At that point, we put a stop payment on the check. When we called Empire we were told someone from accounting would call us back. The next day (Friday) nobody from Empire had called us back, so we called their 800 number and demanded to speak to someone to get this resolved. It wasn't until late Friday afternoon until the funds were showing pending in our account. Not sure if the funds were showing because we put a stop payment on the bank or if Empire Today did something. Not really sure, since nobody really was able to help us. Not to mention, we had plans to go away for the weekend, but since we had no money in our account, we had to cancel.

2. The day of the installation, we got a call from a Collection Agency regarding the $5600.00 we owe Empire. So we had to explain the entire situation to them and why. Needless to say, we are battling this in hopes it does not hit our credit report. This is still not 100% resolved as of 6/29/2016.

3. Mid-day during the installation process, the carpet installers inform us they do not have enough carpet for the office and 3 closets and that those rooms were not on their layout of the house. They showed us the layout of the house and sure enough, it was not complete. We reached out to our representative and her boss Nick to let them of the situation and were told there were 2 pages and 1 of the pages must not have gone through. Well at this point, you cant believe a word they say. All I can say is, thankfully more carpet was delivered that afternoon.

This has been by far the worst experience ever dealing with a company!! The entire time we had been in contact with our sale rep and her boss, Nick. Her boss Nick said when everything is settled, give me a call and he would see what he could do for us. We have left Nick 2 voicemail's and he has yet to return our call. We have even reached out to the 800 number and the girl we spoke to Jasmine, was extremely rude and unapologetic. It is almost like Nick was saying what he needed to say to keep the sale, but when it was all said and done....he was done as well!!

Great experience from start to finish. I tried dealing with random companies who were hard to keep contact with. I tried [redacted] stores who kept adding costs and told me the whole thing would take two weeks. Dealing with Empire was different. I received constant communication throughout the appointment making process. My sales appointment was thorough with information given about the company and sales representative. I was able to take my time with samples and make a decision to my wants, needs, and budget. Installation was available for the following day, but I needed a few days and was given that flexibility. The day before I was given a time frame. The installers called me when they were 30 min away and arrived on time. They worked very hard and answered any questions. I felt comfortable enough to leave my house for short periods of time to run errands and get them more water! They were very polite and efficient. Will be doing business with this company again.

STAY AWAY FROM EMPIRE TODAY FLOORING COMPANY
From the time you call the number 800-588-2300 you will be pulled into their con of:
1. Smiling deceitful sales staff who will bait and switch products on you;
2. Change products and pricing and say you authorized it;
3. Send a clueless installer who knows little to nothing of what he is doing; and
4. Blame the whole horrific experience on you.
5. If you think Customer Service is your friend, FORGET IT.
Find a [redacted] or a flooring company where you go in to pick out your product. Stay away from EMPIRE TODAY FLOORING.

I just had Empire install flooring (laminate & vinyl) in my home.
I want to commend their installment team. They were hard working and most professional.
I would highly recommend Empire to others and I would use them again.

Empire today provides an option to shop from your home and that made it very easy to choose the product we wanted for our home without the hassle of going to several different stores to choose carpet. The sales representative and the installers did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend Empire today to my friends and family.

Don't bother recommending more customers with a code given by empire because it's a lie that you will recieve $100 per referral.
