Support Problem
Purchased support and software from Techgeekx for years with complete satisfaction. I called on 3/6/2020, they told me they changed their name to Caligeeks and must pay $249 for 3 year software tech support, which I did. Shortly after that the Pandemic hit, they vanished, called them several times with no one responding. Recently received an email message from them, I called and talked to Adam about an Outlook problem, he demanded more money to upgrade my system with a long explanation that was completely meaningless. Asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager, and no one higher to speak to.
Bottom line, they are grabbing any amount of money they can get, and will not help until you pay.
Very disappointed.

Caligeeks - They did an excellant Job , and fixed all my problems in a reasonable time . They were also very professional and very friendly ....

I had a problem activating the code on my *** device and was told to call a number to resolve problem.
On July 4th I hooked up my *** Device to my TV and proceeded to activate it using my cell phone. The activation failed and I got a 800 number to call on my cell phone to resolve the problem. I called the number and the man on the other end sounded like I just woke him up, very unprofessional sounding and after talking to him for about 5 mins he started telling me I had problems with my computer and he needed my password! A little suspicious and angry I hung up on him and attempted to activate *** again. It failed again and this time I got a number to call on the TV. I called the number and got a phone tree and someone on the other end that sounded very professional....night and day compared to first call. He said that my *** had a outdated update and it needed to be updated which would cost 159.99 and that would cover all the updates for the life of the *** and also get me 100's of free movie and tv channels....duh...senior moment! I fell for it and handed my credit card info over to him. It wasnt till I thought about it that right on the TV over the 800 number I called was a ROKU disclaimer that they DO NOT charge for service or subscriptions.

Caligeeks did everything on my pc as I asked them to do in a very agreeable manner . I got value for the money I paid ....

I am very satisfied with nthe service provided by Caligeeks . All the problem in my pc appears to be fixed after caligeeks worked on it .

Caligeeks did a fantastic job today on my computer . Always do a good job

Caligeeks did excellent service and very quick. Technician is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Caligeeks worked on my pc whicmade me extremely satisfied and and they explained me each steps that they do which made me knowledgable incase of my computer issues . Everything is straighten down and now I have a good time with my computer .

I was scammed
I purchased a tv from Best Buy and it had Roku installed on it. During setup it told me I need to install an update for Roku. When trying to install it it gave me the number to call for Caligeeks and they told me in order to update I needed to pay the 89.99 so that I could get the Roku app updated. My wife works for a financial institution and informed me that Roku was a free app and I should not have had to pay anything to update if I would have called Roku customer service. I am extremely upset that they scammed me for a free service and think that this is horrible business practices.

Desired Outcome

I would like the funds refunded as they were charging for a free service and were transparent at all.

caligeeks fixed the problem I had on my pc , the tech was very helpful , courteous and They did a very good job .

Some scammers had got into my pc and they have locked my pc . I called Caligeeks as I have a tech support with them and Technician from Caligeeks is a very com patient tech. He knows his job real well. He also is very caring towards the customer. I thank him for all his hard work..

Caligeeks are very responsive and repair the problems on my computer very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone.

Caligeeks worked on my pc and cleaned it up. I have done this a few times and was happy each time.

I purchased a TV with *** and the phone# listed was for this company. I was told that I had to pay a fee to get my device registered and working

I was told by the rep for Caligeeks that I had to pay a fee to get my device to work. I read from the screen of my new TV to him that stated that there was no charge to set the TV up. He said because of new updates even tho I already have a Roku account I would have to pay a one time fee to register this new device. I could pay either $89.00 + tax or I could do a lifetime for $149.99. When I asked him if I was being charged simply because I had to call this ph# he said no, it was because of the updates to Roku that I would have to have in order for this device to work!!! This is a SCAM! I have requested a full refund from Caligeeks but I see from the complaints that this is common practice for this company.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of $96.99 that was charged to my credit card due to fraudulent statements made by the rep for this company. I am 100% NOT SATISFIED with the misleading service.

Caligeeks is a great company to work with. The technician that I had previously spoken with called me back as soon as he was finished with another customer. I really appreciate that because I know and trust the representative that I spoke with. I was not able to get my printer working and spoke with the printer company and they told me that I had some kind of update in my computer and that's why it wouldn't work. I tried to fix the problem but it didn't work. I called Caligeeks this morning and had the problem fixed in half an hour. This is the kind of service that is exemplary for the company and I would like to praise my technician. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks

Caligeeks support is excellent. They worked on my pc today and the issue was fixed and the work done by the tech from caligeeks was excellent and am happy that my pc is working fine now .

Caligeeks was TechgeeksX.com; mislead; sold MS Office 365 lifetime license (2 comps), pretense - they were authorized Microsoft seller. refund request
I spoke with TechgeeksX/Caligeeks (972 556 5333), he told me his name was Sunny. Days later, I was told that there wasn't a guy by the name Sunny working there. When their "Technician9" named Adam called (on the day I spoke with Sunny), he told me that they changed their name to Caligeeks (Caligeeks - 1-888-212-9568/208 725 8002). He did not fulfilled their contract agreement of providing "MS Office 365/Microsoft 365 for Enterprise." Adam provided the attached "Notepad" information.

The receipt copy I got from them on 5/3/2018 is attached.

We are requesting a refund for selling to us a false product and services not rendered. We have uninstalled Microsoft Office 365, a.k.a, Microsoft 365 for Enterprise from the two computers we have at home (which techgeekX initially installed). My computer broke and needed to reinstall MS Office 365. When Adam called he did not reinstalled MS Office 365, nor Microsoft 365 for Enterprise. Adam was to call back on 6/19/2020, but did not. Please see attached documents.

Desired Outcome

TechgeekX, now named Caligeeks misrepresented their service and product. We are requesting a full refund. We no longer trust them, now that we know they are not authorized by Microsoft to sell MS Office 365.

Late yesterday (07/18/20202), USPS delivered a letter addressed to us, from Caligeeks. There is a cheque/check enclosed. Tomorrow, Monday (07/20/2020) I will deposite the check. If the check is valid and the money has been safely deposited, I will return to this compliant to report on the results. I will either accept Caligeeks response, or reject it.

This email is to request from you; not to close my complaint (Case# *** (Ref#XX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX)) toward Caligeeks, as specified in your email. The closing date being 07/19/2020. I am forwarding the email I got from Caligeeks, indicating that I would be getting a cheque/check from them, within 3-5 days. As of today (07/17/20202), I have not received the cheque/check. I would like to give them, or USPS, more time to deliver the check. The attached screenshot is a copy of the check I should be getting. Do I need to update my complaint file with this information?
