My experience with Capitol Shed, who built me a 1 1/2 story garage, was they are the best contractor I have dealt with. In the past 15 years I have had many "handy man" type jobs, plus a 2nd story addition to the house. Capitol Shed employees were knowledgeable, polite, arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We had a very good experience with our purchase, delivery and setup of our shed from Capitol Sheds in Warrenton.

I needed a 2 story shed for a property which I wanted to be a step up from a Home Depot shed. I saw this company, Capitol Sheds, as I was driving home on the highway. I stopped and walked through the sheds, garages, and barns on their property. They were so well built and put together. I sat down with Phil and we designed a custom 2 story shed for the property 16'x14'.
When the work begun the footers were dug with exact precision. A special crew was assigned that task to include Phil himself. The footers passed inspection with the county with flying colors as did the framing of the shed, and the final product inspection. The final product was built in 4 days, and was far greater than my expectations. The crews assigned to the job worked together like a well oiled machine even in 97 degree heat. It was a great experience and I would contract with them again, and have shown the shed to my family, and friends for a real life recommendation.

I Purchased my custom-built 8 x 12 shed in March of 2016 and after construction in **, it was delivered in May to my residence in [redacted], VA. It is an absolutely beautiful structure and assembled with the utmost of care. I have been told that it is the nicest storage shed in the neighborhood. I designed it with salesman Dan W[redacted] who was very helpful and explained all my options in detail. My shed has the same siding, shutters, and door as does my house. No corners were cut in its construction and I would recommend this company to anyone needing a storage structure on their property.

Based on the suggestion of a business associate, we decided to talk with Capitol Sheds to get pricing for a four stall barn on our property in [redacted]. The cost, design, schedule and customer service was all much better than the other companies we researched. The work proceeded exactly as scheduled, the cost was exactly as quoted and we are extremely pleased with the end product. All interactions regarding county approvals and building permits were managed by Capitol Sheds and we were kept advised throughout the permitting phase. The construction team was hard working, on time, and clearly took pride in their work.

We have bought 3 chicken coops from Capitol Sheds now. The first was a "gray" off-the-lot model. When I special ordered the second, they did not say that there were 3 grays to chose from. Not that big a deal but it did not match the original perfectly. But my wife did not notice the difference :)
The first was a 4'x6'. The other two are 5'x8'. I like the Quaker style best. I feel they offer better cross ventilation with the way the windows are placed. If I knew then what I know now, I would have got the 4'x6' in "High wall" but that was not in stock and I needed it quickly. They are 6 to 8 weeks to deliver a special order. The High Wall and the 5'x8' allow standing in the coop which is a very nice thing. I have to crawl around the 4'x6' to retrieve eggs from the pesky chicken that does not understand the value of the egg box. :)
I have only had the 4'x6' one year, the first 5'x8' a couple months and the third is being built just now. The two are holding up well. Even the 1 year old is as good as new so far. Very sturdy, well designed and built. My chickens really like them!
The second came with an egg door I did not like quite as much as the first. There is a small potential for water to leak in the seam between the two boards. And it came with heavy rubber straps to secure the door closed that would give my wife problems with her shoulder opening/closing. The first came with none. I put a hasp on both and will not use the rubber straps. I deleted the straps on the third coop.
They come with horizontal 2x3" boards for roosts. I removed those and added cups to allow easily laying a 2x4" horizontally to make the roosts better for the chickens in the winter time.
The clean out door makes cleaning very easy. Love it!
I compared around to other suppliers, and these coops are very well built and have great features at a great price. We love them! The crew there is very easy to work with and very friendly and pleasant. The delivery fellows placed the coops exactly where I wanted them. Even when the second was a little tricky to place. The third will be in an easier location! :)
From order until delivery, I cannot say enough good about them! If I ever need a 4th coop (or any other building), it will be from Capitol Sheds.

Great company, great people who are highly skilled and just plain nice. Good quality materials. Would recommend them to family, friends or anyone who stops and admires my new barn and shed!

Review: this shed had rotting problems over the warranty period. Company was slow and not prepared for repairs. Local craftsmen were unskilled. Now that the door is rotted, the company refuses to make amends. Employee lied to President and said door was damaged not rotten. President refuses to fix problem. He resents that they have had to service this custom shed over the years. All claims were legit and shed has always been well cared for and maintained correctly.

This company claims to stand by their products in writing. Not the case, as I had to call many times to have the problems resolved...at this point I will have to hire a carpenter to fix front door...CS should have to pay since they are unwilling to send their men.Desired Settlement: I want the door repaired as it is unsightly, as it sits within the garden close to the house and is clearly apparent. Also the two rotten board in the ramp need replacement. I see nothing in the paperwork that states that the ramp is excluded from the warranty.

[redacted] has requested in the past many times to come to her place and touch-up and fix things on the shed. Last year she had us come out and fix a rotted window sill that she wanted taken care of before the warranty expired, which we did. Couple weeks ago [redacted] ask that we come out and re-level her ramp and look at the building which we did even though it was OUT OF WARRANTY. We did not charge for the re-leveling of the ramp even though it was out of warranty. We fixed everything to her satisfaction while the building was under warranty. Now that the building is not under warranty she wants us to fix it for no charge and says we are a bad company.[redacted] wants us to fix her ramp even though that is not covered under any warranty. We have bent over backwards trying to please her and she does not appreciate what we have done even though no other company would go the extra mile like we have.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The reason this company was contacted numerous times over the years is that the shed had problems. When I reported to the company, they came out, often requiring many times to resolve. The employees do not communicate effectively and there is often a lag in calls returned. The men sent out to correct have few carpentry skills, causing returns trips. The rotten window sill was due to "bad pine and pressure treated wood used at the time of construction." This was a quote yesterday from Loren of Capitol Sheds. If they now know that bad new wood was used in construction, the company should be more than willing to correct the problems. The ramp was merely shoved two inches back toward the shed "to fix" and the rotten front door requires a simple fix, that the company now refuses to fix without charging. This company complains that they came out many times over the years, yet this is part of their warranty, and when called upon, they whine about fulfilling. I do not expect to have further contact with this company, yet will never recommend them to anyone. They are not an efficient company nor are they strong on communication. I am not happy to know that my $2,000+ shed is built with poor quality pine and pressure treated woods. I have taken extra care maintaining this shed, only to have Capitol Sheds accuse me of damaging my shed, when rot is the problem. [redacted]

I had a great experience with Robert S[redacted] of the New Baltimore Capitol Sheds. He repaired an older Capitol garage and I also bought a new garage. Everything was done on time and Robert kept me informed of anything that was being done. He is a very hard, efficient worker.

I priced the 8'x8' shed at [redacted] and Capitol Sheds. Capitol Sheds was significantly better in price and quality than the big box retailers and better in price than a [redacted] competitor down the road. The order process was seamless and Kristi was extremely helpful and provided all the information and pricing promptly. There were no surprises at all. The shed arrived early and was delivered to my sight by a very professional and skilled technician with out even one scratch, despite having to maneuver through a tight opening at the location. Next time I will not shop around but head directly to Capitol Sheds in Gainesville, VA.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! Their quote was very affordable when compared to others. Customer service went above and beyond at all times. They really want to help YOU as much as they can and (most important) NOT because of money. The foreman and his employees were hard working and very respectful. They delivered the product in a very professional, efficient, and timely manner. The quality of the product is unbeatable. The sales manager responded all questions I had and stayed in touch at all times until the end. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this company.

Capitol Sheds just delivered our 12x24 Vinyl Pavillion. Everything went smooth and the pavillion was delivered as agreed with no hickups. Robert and his team delivered good quality and have been a pleasure to work with!

From the start, Capitol Sheds was Great. Customer service and assistance with the purchase was service that you just dont see anymore. I had a budget and they developed a shed that gave me more than I expected to get while remaining within budget (actually saved about $200). The delivery and installation guy went out of his way to ensure that my wife was 100% satified with the placement of the shed. I would recommend Capitol Sheds to anyone, and will purchase from them again! The craftmanship on this shed is excellent.

You can not go wrong with your purchase at capital sheds their products stand up to the test of time. I have been a customer for about seven years,and have always been treated like family.
