Capitol Sheds retails stock and custom designed sheds as well as garages, playground equipment, and other outdoor items. They work with an Amish manufacturer in Pennsylvania to construct all of these items and then either delivers or builds onsite.

I purchased a 12x16 shed from Capitol Sheds in Warrenton, VA. [redacted], the manager, was very patient with me as I worked out the design to fit my needs precisely. She assisted with all my questions and made recommendations to allow me to stretch my dollar further. I was grateful to work with her.

They required 1/3 payment at purchase and 2/3 payment on delivery.

The delivery was around 4 weeks after I ordered, which is a reasonable amount of time, in my opinion. [redacted] and one partner delivered the shed and installed it on concrete block piers. They leveled and re-leveled it to ensure the doors would open/close perfectly. They also warned me that all sheds settle and that they would come out to re-level after mine did. This was nice, it helped me avoid a surprise ("the doors won't open, what the heck?").

I had received a $1,000 discount due to having my name randomly chosen from entries on their website. The total cost of the shed after the discount was around $5,500. I feel like this was a little steep, but the quality of the shed is amazing. Truly excellent construction with top of the line materials and attention to detail.

Review: My company, [redacted], ordered a dog kennel costing $6700 including freight. The shipment was not only delivered a week late after multiple delays, it was delivered damaged. The crate that it was shipped in had been ran into with I'm assuming a forklift. The issue is the the bottom part of the packing crate was also the foundation to the kennel. We had to take the kennel off the truck piece by piece and did not realize until the last piece how severely damaged it was. I took pictures of the kennel both on the truck and after we inventoried the damage. Capitol Sheds wanted us to purchase the parts and repair it ourselves and they would reimburse us. I am a small business and don't have the time to repair a kennel that should have been delivered in good condition. After going in circles with both Capitol Sheds and the freight company I had enough and asked for the kennel to be picked up and that I would like a refund. The [redacted] of the company gave me 3 options. We could accept $1200 and repair it ourselves, he could send a guy out to repair it and put it together as long as I provided a extra man to help (I have no interest in hiring another person to help with this on their schedule as my husband works during the day), or they would pick it up and we would get a refund and have to pay a 20% restocking fee (around $1300 I imagine). When I called him and told him that I accept the last option and they could send someone out to pick it up he actually chuckled at me and told me that I would have to pay freight to return it to him. This is not what was stated this morning and I am very upset that I have payed $6700 for a damaged product and although they would be refunding me I would still have to pay around $1300 to return it on top of around $700 in freight. This means that I will have paid $2000 for nothing but a headache. This is bad work ethic and I should not have to pay for a product that I will not have. I agreed to pay the $1300 (20%) just to be done with it but I refuse to pay another $700 and have to deal with freight on top of it. His reply is that I simply should not have accepted the product. This kennel was already completely unloaded off the truck and there was another crate behind it that needed to be delivered. I complained to the drive and he simply told me I would need to take it up with the company. I signed the shipping receipt and noted in it that it was very damaged and delivered a week late.Desired Settlement: I would like this kennel to be taken off my property and I would like a refund. I refuse to pay any freight to has this kennel removed.

One of the most positive experience I have had with a company and it's employees in an extremely long time. I had bought a shed from this company 8 years ago and bought a new campsite and needed another shed. This company and salesperson outdid themselves to make this a great buying experience and delivery was on time and perfect.

I ordered a shed from Capitol Sheds Warrenton location in Fall 2015. Everyone we worked with was very professional with courteous follow-up. The staff quickly setup a site visit once the order was placed and once the shed had arrived, was quick to schedule delivery and installation. The workers installing the shed were very friendly and did a great job leveling the site and installing the shed. All around, a very positive experience.

Easy company to work with. bought a storage shed 6 years ago and out grew it, Capitol Sheds was willing to let me trade it in for a larger building. Delivery guys did a excellent job setting it up. This was done at the store Warrenton.

My experience with Capitol Sheds was a totally rewarding and stress free experience. [redacted] kept us apprised of the schedule which had to change because of weather. He and the entire crew were pleasant and informative and they did everything as promised. Since it was transported in late winter road film was seen and they came back and power washed it and the track for the overhead doors showed some corrosion several months later and they came back and replaced them even holding them a short time to accommodate my schedule. We love the look and the storage. If I need another shed, they will get the job.

My experience with Capitol Shed, who built me a 1 1/2 story garage, was they are the best contractor I have dealt with. In the past 15 years I have had many "handy man" type jobs, plus a 2nd story addition to the house. Capitol Shed employees were knowledgeable, polite, arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

It was an extreme pleasure having Capitol Sheds build my 18' x 22' workshop. My wife and I were more than impressed with the work ethic, the skill and talent of the crew.

I bought a 10 by 28 ft shed for my horse through Capitol Shed's. Needless to say, my horse is extremely important to me so the shed had to be top notch. I was not disappointed. The construction is solid and what little follow up I've required in adjusting things here and there has been professional and efficient. The price was decent and delivery was expedited when I asked for it. I dealt with Robert S[redacted] and he was always pleasant and responsive. I would buy a shed from the business and Robert again without hesitation.

From the start, our experience with Capitol Sheds and Robert was great - they worked with us to make sure the custom structure was exactly what we were looking for. The construction crew was wonderful as well - their attention to detail and craftsmanship is second to none and they were courteous and clean in their work.
