Purchased a Keyless Entry System that was advertised as $with Standard Installation, at the store I upgraded to Premium Installation at the Salesperson's recommendationThis was to include Remote Starter Disable, Flashing Parking Lights and Dome Light Supervision for an additional $I was then told my car had complicated wiring that was not covered under the installation charge and was charged an additional $for installing a diodeWhen I received the car back it had no Dome Light Supervision or Flashing Parking Lights and I was advised that if I wanted to add these I would need an additional relay and additional labor above what I had already purchasedThe advertising both online and in store stated nothing about complicated wiring charges and the Premium Installation advertising states that it includes the flashing parking lights and Dome light supervision that was not done

To whom it may concern, Mr [redacted] brought his Porsche to Car Toys to have a radio and four speakers installedThe radio we sold him didn’t operate Car Play Navigation like he expectedHe brought it back and gave an alternative solution for a full size Pioneer Car Play system that would work better for himTo install the full size unit versus the half-size unit required custom fabrications that required fiberglass in addition to custom dash partsThe Store Manager saw there was an issue and told the customer he would get it handled but failed to let the customer know that he would need to pay the additional $for the added parts and custom installWhen Mr [redacted] returned to pick up his car he thought that the additional charge was being covered based on what the Store Manager told himAfter the Regional Manager spoke with Mr [redacted] , Car Toys agreed to not charge him the additional $I followwith the customer and he is happy and pleased Respectfully, Darrell N [redacted] FTX Regional Manager Car Toys, Inc

Car Toys Academy Blvd N (719) 592- 05/29/ I rate this north store stars only because they sold me a Sony Marine Radio at a decent priceI also purchased a face plate kit and a steering wheel kit, this was all for my Ultra Classic Harley DavidsonThey told me when they sold me these things that this would be pretty much a plug and play installI have my bike torn down down for painting and wanted to upgrade the radio with something better Several of my tech savvy friends came over to assist me with the install about a month after I made the purchase Installation of the radio was pretty basic but I was somewhat dismayed to find we had to match wires and solder themThis was done as per the instructions and plugged into the stock plug with the Axxess ASWC-Steering Wheel Control AdapterThe instructions state no programing needed, the system with detect the bike and radio and the handlebar controls will work, NOT ! After days of attempting to program the Axxess ASWC-Steering Wheel Control Adapter per the instructions, I returned to Car Toys to see if I brought my bike in (which is in pieces) would they be able to fix the programming issue? Car Toys told me it must be a wiring error and if I wanted to bring the bike into the store, for $they would make it work correctlyI told them the entire kit was installed I only needed assistance with getting the controls on the handle bars corrected or programmedOnce again I was told $because they offer a lifetime warranty on their work So the way I take this is, no matter that I did the complete install, Car Toys will not stand up and assist without making that all powerful dollarNow I totally understand the install fee, but I do not need to install the unit, only assistanceA small assistance fee would have been totally acceptable to me, but no, $for a complete job This is only injury added to insult from this staffWhen I went into purchase these items, a conversation came up among the employees in reference to police officersThe remarks made were VERY derogatory, and insulting in regards to law enforcementThen, when I returned for assistance the employee I was talking to started making references between Harley riders and sport bike riders and why sport bike riders were betterThese employees have a job to serve customers, not impose their beliefs and thoughts on usI don't care if they like cops or dislike Harley riders, telling me or discussing these things while on the job is not why they are there 06/14/ This is more less an update from my previous posts on Car Toys AS I told you I purchased a Sony Radio, a mounting kit to mount this into my Harley Davidson, and an AXXESS plug and play so my handlebar controls would still workCar Toys recommended this total package for my Harley The Sony radio was mounted with no issues, connecting wires to speakers and powerThe AXXESS was install easily enough, however, to this date, have never been able to make it workTwo phone calls and four trips to the Car Toys where I purchased this radio and I get a different answer or "how to solve this issue" every time I made contact with them Now I write my review here on Yelp, Car Toys requests I send them my contact information if I would like contact, I did this and I have never heard from Car Toys This past Sunday I go online and purchased a Biketronics module that is supposed to be the same thing as the AXXESSWhen it arrives we will see if it is a plug and play or if I am just not an installer of stereo equipmentWould anyone like to buy a AXXESS steering wheel control? Car Toys installed a new radio into my work van and cracked my dash on March 30, I informed the technician on March 30, in the parking lot when picking up my van that he or someone at Cartoys cracked my dash at the topI was told by the technician that he would replace the dash, and he would contact me about getting another one to replace itThe technician did contact me by cellphone a few days later, and about days following to tell me that he did not find a replacement dash, and he would keep lookingHowever almost months later I have heard nothingSo I called weeks ago, came into the location and gave the desk manager at the time (younger Hispanic male) the replacement dash quote from Al S [redacted] and was told I would be contacted, and again nothingProduct_Or_Service: Aftermarket Radio Account_Number: [redacted]

Went to car toys in the middle of august to have my car detailed, the detail work they provided was not professionalI was promised a removal of my stains and complete interior detail workMy stains were not taken out and almost no detail work was provided as if my car had been sitting in the parking lotI complained to the manager about the service provided and was promised that if I brought it back in, that they would take the time to redo the entire jobI brought my car back a week later, I had to argue with one of the employees about the work that was going to be redone He tried to tell me that they were only going to do a partial job on the seats and flooring and not the entire interior job and that I had already been discounted for the original job even though I was promised I would be taken care of Eventually the manager came out and said they would take care of it after I pressured themThey redid the job and I left my car with them for roughly 6/hoursI felt a lit

To whom it may concern, Mr [redacted] wanted his “customer owned gear” (COG) installed in a convertible Ford MustangHis COG equipment included an amplifier, deck, and satellite radio tunerThe customer had attempted to complete the install himself prior to bring it to usWhen he brought the car to us it was in pieces (with some panels not even in the car) as he could not do the installOur very experienced installer was involved in qualifying at the time the customer came in and checked it inThe installation technician looked at the equipment and told the customer that the amplifier should fit under the seat but it would be closeThe amplifier would not physically fit under the seatThe customer never made any mention of secondary locations to mount the amp or locations he did not want the amplifier mountedThe only other location to mount the amplifier is in the trunkThe amplifier was mounted in the trunk via a board mounted under the carpetWhen he came to pick up the vehicle he was disappointed that the amplifier was not mounted under the seatHe then requested that we mount the amplifier in the cavity where the convertible folds intoWe explained to him why that was not a viable location to mount the amplifier, and he got angry with usThe customer then asked to have the amplifier fully removed and a full refundWe fully removed the amplifier and gave him a full refundHe then was upset we didn’t give him a full refund of all costs (including the radio and satellite radio)We explained to him that his issue was with the amplifier install and not the deck or satellite radioHe agreed but was not happyHe said that he was going to go home and install the amplifier correctly and come back to “show us how it’s supposed to be done”His COG amp kit’s power wire was cut to length to install the amplifierThe amp kit that he brought is fully functional to any location that he decides to put the amplifierThe original invoice was for $of which $(the amplifier installation) has been refunded per his requestCurrently we have been unable to contact the customer to discuss his reasoning for the addition requested refund amount Darrell N***FTX Regional ManagerCar Toys, Inc

I purchased a sub, 2 amps, 4 premium speakers and paid for the installation. I was told while speaking to multiple employees while I was considering my purchase that if I went with their company and product over Best Buy the biggest benefit was the uninstall/reinstall policy. I was informed (and I repeated it back to ensure I understood it) that the product would be uninstalled from my car for free and reinstalled on a new car for half price when I went to trade it in if I purchased the extended warranty, which I did. I moved to a different city and I am in the process to trade in my car. I was informed by the local Car Toys that this wasn't true and the cost of the uninstall and reinstall would be 370 for uninstall and 740 for the reinstall. So after spending 4000$ on the first go around here we are 3 months later and they are wanting an additional 1110 rather that the 370 I was told it would originally cost. On 02/19/I purchased a new stereo system for my vehicle, the total coming to $($labor)Since the purchase the system failed twice, it was replaced once on Thursday 02/25/The replacement had the same issues as the original unit, it caused my vehicles dash to freezeThe speedometer, signals, heater, rpm model, the system including the 7" screen and the brake lights all stopped workingThe only way it would work is to unplug the battery for minutes then connect it once more, since the second unit was put in the vehicle it is doing the same thingI spoke with the store manager (Raul) who told me everything could be returned and I would not be charged, when I followed up with him he said he would make sure it was a fair deal for the labor they put inThe labor was not refundable, this was never explained when I purchased the productI also did and interior and exterior detail to my car, it was done a second time as it was not done correctly the first timeAft

The Regional Manager has called the customer on 9/20/and the customer was in Germany and the phone call was costing him extra money He asked me to leave a message and he will call me back Regional manager has not received any calls back yet about this situation and has checked with the store to see what was offered to take care of the customer The customer has a warranty claim for a Kenwood [redacted] to repair and the customer wants an instant swap The store offered to put a radio in for the time he would be without the radio and was under the impression that the customer doesn’t have the factory radio anymore to put back in He is not happy with this solution The customer does have an extended warranty which covers parts and labor and we will cover pulling out the product, shipping costs, repair costs, and re-installation The extended warranty covers parts and labor and is not an upgrade policy to new product when the product can be repaired We send all product to a certified repair facility If the customer did not purchase a warranty he would have no coverage at this point Car Toy is fulfilling the warranty process for the customer and will help expedite the process as soon as possible

Against my better judgement went to these incompetent guys to install a remote start systemKevin quoted me a price and an install time over the phoneBoth the install time and the price changed when I got to the shopAgain against my better judgement I went ahead and paid before the service was complete(Kevin did not give me a receipt) I dropped the vehicle off on a Thursday morning 10amthe told me to hours for install4pm rolled around and I hadn't heard from anyone so I decided to callThey said they just need to program the keys and to come on inWhen I got there they told me they would be done in minutesAn HOUR later Kyle told me that they couldn't program the keys and that I had to take it to the dealer to have them reprogram the keysSo the next day I took the vehicle to the dealer which cost me moneyThe dealer did their thing and then I returned to Car Toys that same dayAnother quote of minutes to was given, yet another hour went by and they still couldn't jet the remote start to workThen they tried to tell me that it was still a key problemThe assured me they could have the problem fix by another dealerSo once again I trusted them with my vehicleThey drove it to the second dealer once there the dealer did something to the vehicle to where they can't even get it to start nowI have been without a vehicle for going on days now with no resolution or solutions to this issueThe motto from Kevin, Kyle (Store Manager) and Bruce (Assistant Manage) is "no Sir we can't do that, and we don't know whats wrong with your car"The sign behind the counter says "Satisfaction Guaranteed" There is no way anyone can guarantee ones satisfactionThey couldn't answer the question when asked either

I bought a kenwood deck (refurbished) the over heated a shut offWhen I contacted the customer service they said they could send a return label if all the original contents and the box were intactBut once I told him the unit came wrapped in plastic with just a brown box he became rude and the Conversation quickly broke down from there! I went car toys to get a stereo and my door was fine absolutely no issuesI buy the stereo and come back the next day for the installationI come back and still my door is perfect with nothing wrong and the workers know that because I'm sure they opened the door many times for my installationAnd also before installation they open every door to check my speakersA worker comes in and tells me it's ready so we go outside and he opens the passenger door and shows me how everything worksAfter that he leaves and I go to the drivers side to try to leave but it was kinda hard to open the door but didn't really think anything of itI got it open and was sitting there playing with the stereo then when I try to close the the first time it didn't close but I thought I just was paying attention and may not have actually tried to close it cause I was still focused on the stereo so I try again and it still won't close as if something was blocking it so I pull harder then it closesSo I end
