Center for Teacher Effectiveness Reviews (94)

The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has an excellent and viable program that teachers find helpful in regaining time to teach that had been previously lost due to misbehavior issues in the classroom. The program has been researched, tested, and approved by many school districts around the nation. It is a very positive approach to regaining the student(s)attention to the academic environment. I would recommend the Time to Teach approach to anyone, parent or school to try the strategies and techniques proposed by the Center for Teacher Effectiveness.

I have attended two training sessions with Center for Teacher Effectiveness - the first in 2014 and the second in 2015. I plan on attending another in the near future. In each event there were well over 100 attendees. I was amazed at the high level of professionalism exhibited by all staff members, but even more so at the care and concern shown to each participant. From the executives all the way to the assistants, individual time was taken to sit down and dialog concerning the training and any questions. Through the teachings and Q and A session, the inflexible ethics expressed by this company were displayed, leaving no doubt of their commitment to a very high standard of integrity. In the 17 months I have been involved with CTE, their rapid response to my emails and phone calls confirms that they totally support me and my efforts. The future is definitely bright with the team at Center for Teacher Effectiveness!

The training is spectacular! The Center for Teacher Effectiveness trainer's are top notch! The strategies for classroom management are practical and effective. These strategies help decrease problematic behaviors in the classroom. Each and every staff/trainer/director that I met from CTE were professional, fun, caring, and very approachable.
I immediately utilized the strategies and I have seen a significant reduction in behaviors from my students. Other teacher's are eager to use these strategies and have been requesting CTE to train in their districts. To sum it up, the CTE training, trainer's, and strategies are absolutely wonderful. If you can only have one training, this is definitely the one!

The four day Train the Trainer workshop in Atlanta (2015) was fantastic. I had the opportuniy to meet many other professionals looking to share the positive tools presented. I am aggressively working to share the principles behind the "Time to Teach! with educators in the Chicago area. The professionalism and support from the Center for Teacher Effectiveness is greatly appreciated.

I was exposed to CTE in July this year. What a joy! The material and the presentation of the material were rock solid. Common sense is a great thing, but what they've done is take a common sense thought and made it a defined, reproducible and effective procedure. Any student in a classroom where this process is being used, will benefit greatly. Can't say enough about the instructors and company. They get it! They're funny and easy to listen to but it's not hype. Thanks CTE for caring about our school children, our teachers and our administrators. It's a nice change.

Gratefully, Shawn

This training seminar was absolutely thorough in it's endeavors to deliver a clear and concise methodology that I can see WILL make a change for good in our classrooms and the community at large.

I was excited to attend CTE's Time To Teach workshop in Sedona, AZ. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but was very happy to see that they have an excellent rating with the Revdex.com!
The company is very supportive, professional, and considerate of others! I would definitely do business with them again!

Center for Teach Effectiveness (CTE) is a company that's making a positive impact on students, teachers, and entire school districts in America's education system. CTE is run by very competent, ethical individuals with their heart in the right place. I've met them personally and saw the impact they were making. Research has shown that the CTE strategies are giving teachers more time to teach and I am an educator that has experienced it first hand. Every teacher needs to know about CTE if they are to improve their classroom management skills. School districts of all sizes and circumstances can benefit tremendously from having CTE as a consultant. They've successfully been around for a long time and there's no doubt that they will continue to be here for an even longer time.

I attended and completed two training conferences led by individuals from the Center for Teacher Effectiveness. The training was thorough, based on research and very engaging. Because of my positive experiences, I feel qualified to use what I learned in my consulting business.

After thirty years in the field of education I have attended many workshops, seminars, and other training sessions for teachers. This training exceeded all of the rest in both content and delivery.

I am pleased to report that the Time to Teach training is ranked among the best that I have ever attended. The trainers were so cordial in interactions with participants and competent in their delivery of content. I highly recommend the training for anyone who is looking to improve teaching and learning in the classroom at all academic levels.

The Time to Teach training I attended this fall enlivened my classroom in more ways that I expected. The techniques learned were practical and fresh, and all presenters were highly professional and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in strongly recommending them for training programs in Differentiated Instruction and Managing Classrooms. My time was very well invested and I came away with many practical approaches to help my students maximize their potentials.

I recently attended the workshop to become a trainer for the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, and it was well worth it. The training was engaging and thorough, and the level of support before, during, and after the workshop is fantastic. Make no mistake, you are training to become an independent contractor, so there is an up-front investment, but compared to many other business opportunities, the capital investment is quite low for the potential return. I have been an independent contractor in the past, and the capital required was much higher, but without the level of support to become successful. The people in this company have a passion for quality education, and it shows in their program. Everything was explained to me prior to the workshop, and there was never a time when I felt as if I were forced into anything. It is an investment in my future, and with some hard work and dedication, I expect to reap the rewards.

The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has an exemplary mission to empower classrooms around the nation. Their ethics and credibility are remarkably high; their care extends to all clients: to teachers and their students, principals, counselors, and administrators, as well as to their associates. While being trained this November in Atlanta, GA, I felt well guided to be a trainer, with support to achieve my best at making students’ futures brighter.
The CEO and founder [redacted] has a longstanding, passionate commitment to the educational profession with innovative publications and seminars; he is very engaging with clients and associates, promoting them to establish collaborative relationships when learning the implementation of effective classroom management. His classroom management techniques offered, such as Time to Teach! and Refocus™ keep students self-aware and on-task to optimize learning time. Time to Teach! addresses students individually while having both classroom and whole school strategic components that aim to prevent disruptive behavior and to enhance the school’s organizational climate so teachers have more time to teach. His research-based strategies respectfully obtain results. Refocus™, an early intervention and refinement to the century old “antiseptic bouncing” strategy, relies on the contingent withdrawal of attention from a student exhibiting emergent misbehavior. Refocus begins by stopping the student, reteaching, checking for understanding, and culminates with the student identifying, in writing or verbally, what was wanted and what commitment will be made to behave better in the future; then, the student is invited to return to work when he/she is ready. It promotes the student to be self-directed.
Teachers are promoted to have "withitness" with a SMARTR™ response. With Student Mood Awareness and Rapid Teacher Response, discipline is delivered in a calm, compassionate manner. Compassion and unconditional positive regard are essential to building student-teacher relationships. In addition to discipline and relationship-building, classroom design and ecology are analyzed to ensure arrangements support learning. Lastly, a guidebook with 100 Teach-To‘s for nearly every classroom expectation and routine is offered for practice. Educators have opportunity to reflect on newly acquired skills, rendering professional development for each seminar participant’s unique situational needs.
When training to be a trainer, I discovered that CTE and its professional team are remarkably engaging, entertaining, and inspiring. Educators will gain a renewed perspective and walk away with invaluable solutions for their diverse classroom needs.

I was looking for a way to compensate my current job. Time to Teach had everything I was looking for in a consulting job. The training was very thorough and the one-on-one support is first rate. Not everyone is capable of doing this work and not everyone will be invited to join. They are providing a very necessary technique that is needed today in all schools. It is very family oriented in the company as well as with the consultants and all the clients they serve. The company has a great future, they have vision and are constantly looking for ways to grown and expand. They invest in our children and therefore they invest in our future.

My experience with the two full-day training programs offered by the Center for Teacher Effectiveness (CTE) has been nothing short of exhilarating. Both Classroom Management and Differentiated Instruction provide proven techniques that teachers can start using as soon as they return to the classroom. These workshops are fun, interactive, and compatible with common school frameworks.
The staff honestly cares about teachers and most importantly their students. The focus is always on delivering the best learning experience possible. As a company, CTE routinely under promises and over delivers. I look forward to working with CTE as they continue to roll out additional educational programs. Keep up the good work!

CTE is a genuine, well designed, well managed, and delightful company. It appears that they treat their employees with the utmost respect and want them to succeed. The trainers are of the highest caliber and represent themselves and the company with amazing passion!

I have had a great, wonderful, enjoyable and profitable experience with CTE! I look forward to many years working with [redacted] and the rest of the CTE family as I work on my business. The professionalism of the training team is second to none! The materials, website, and instructional tools are second to none. My CPA's exact words were "in my thirty-five years as a CPA I have not seen better...". It is my recommendation that anyone who is not on board with CTE, get on board fast!

What a great workshop on Differentiated Instruction, a skill that teachers need to stimulate and motivate students to learn. This training offers teachers the opportunity to explore ways they can tap into learning styles and modalities that reach more students in their classrooms. The trainers made the learning fun but yet intense by incorporating the "they do, we do, then you do" process for learning. One of the best workshops I have ever attended and now I am eager to join the CTE family as a trained Differentiated Instructor.

I recently attended CTE's Classroom Management Train-the-Trainer conference in Los Angeles and am so impressed with the concepts and materials! Finally, a program that nips low-level behavior problems in the bud. The program demonstrates that teachers should not use gimmicks, repeated warnings, or threats as many teachers do, but instead set clear expectations right in the beginning, review those expectations, and use a system that is so simple that students readily take part in it. No more arguing, no more power struggles, no more office referrals, no more wasting everyone's time! Data shows that with the Time to Teach classroom management program, teachers gain so much more time to actually teach the curriculum. Moreover, students feel more secure, are more responsible, and are able to learn more effectively because of the positive classroom atmosphere, all resulting in higher test scores. I'm hooked!
