Review: I traded in my van for a new car at the dealership. A week later financing fell through and I had to switch cars back. When I received my van back the electronic key for the van was split in two and the top of it was broken. My battery was dead and would not hold a charge and my sliding door keeps opening on its own which I am assuming is a result of bad signals being sent from the broken key to the van. When I showed the new car sales manager my key he offered to pay for half if I drove out to their [redacted] dealership to get the key stating he had no proof what condition the key was in when I left the van there a week ago. The salesman who had taken in the key from me initially already told him my key was not in that condition when I left it there. I went to the [redacted] dealer to get the new key and when the parts department called the new cars sales manager at ** he was told he would only reimburse me later for half of the cost of the key only. This is a key that costs $107 in house and there is an additional $70 fee to program the key which he is refusing to pay for at all. I have not gotten the key as I cannot afford to pay $135 for a key that they broke. I have been coming out to find my door open on the car and the key keeps sending signals and opening it while I am sitting in the car until I get it started. I need this problem rectified immediately.Desired Settlement: I need the key replaced at their cost since they broke it and their own salesman witnessed the fact that the key was not left with them in that condition.

Review: I was corresponding with [redacted] of Chapman Chevrolet via email regarding a GM Leasing Special on the Chevy Volt. In the email he says confirms that the monthly lease payment will be $299. He then says "the total cash down or trade is $1658." I arrived for the test drive a few hours later. After the drive and while going over numbers he tells me the total down payment is over $4500. When I reference the email he sent earlier, he acted as if I was corresponding with someone else form his team (even though the email was from his address) and there's no way to sell Volts at that price.Desired Settlement: I would like Chapman Chevy to honor their word.

Review: on 07/25/2013 my Husband and I purchased a 2007 infiniti m35 vehicle from Chapman Chevrolet. I was primary buyer on the loan and my husband was the co-signer. We put $1500.00 down payment, signed all the contracts for are approval that day. we bought insurance for the vehicle that same day as well witch came out to $136.00. the salesman name was [redacted], also the fiance advisor name was [redacted]. after signing all the contracts we were told by the fiance advisor that our first car payment was due on 09/08/2013. 3 weeks after purchasing the car we waited for our first car payment bill to arrive nothing came in, I called chapman cheverolet for a whole week trying to get a hold of a manager or fiance adivisor. I left multiple voicemails concerning the car payment. on 09/02/2013 we finally reached the fiance advisor [redacted]. He explains to us to call [redacted], the loan company that was going to give us the loan for the vehicle. we called car finance capitol and explained the situation with our car payment, they said they have not received anything from chapman cheverlot concering our vehicle or our application. I called back chapman to explain to [redacted] what the finance company said to me. He goes forth to say that they cannot approve us due to me not having paycheck stubs for my source of income. I get payed cash and used my bank statements for my source of income on the application I filled out and my husband used his paycheck stubs as well. we were approved ! and this was over a month ago and they are barley telling use that they have an issue after a month and a week later! My husband sold his vehicle to use the money towards payments to the new vehicle from chapman and now we have to return the vehicle back to them. we spoke to the finance manager and he was very rude to us .Chapman cheverolet is willing to give us our $1500 back to us but we have no other vehicle and this was so devastating to our family. I have two children and have no vehicle to use. my husband has no vehicle to go to work. how can they do this after we got approved and signed contracts.Desired Settlement: I would like for chapman cheverolet to keep our agreement and find a finance company that will approve us so we can keep the vehicle.

Response:

I have reviewed this matter and we have exhausted all efforts to have the lender waive the income verification on this transaction. The loan was indeed approved, but as is standard procedure in most transactions, the lender will require verification of income and the verification that was provided was not acceptable to the lender. We were also unsuccessful in securing alternate approval without verification of income. The last thing we want as a dealership is to have to take a car back. Yesterday, the vehicle was returned to the dealership and the transaction was canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience to the [redacted]’*. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or [redacted], our Finance Director who worked this file extensively.

Review: I arrived on site at 7:20 AM to service 2006 Chevrolet Suburban 4 door black on 2/23/2015.

Service advisor [redacted] was not available to assist, so I was asked to wait a few minutes. Around 7:40, [redacted] introduced himself. We started paperwork for service. I requested for Chapman mechanic to inspect an oil leak and ignition starting issue. Mr. [redacted] wrote a request order. Total time preparing my request was 15 minutes. I asked for a loaner car, so he directed me to a waiting room since the employee who handles loaner car program had not arrived yet. Around 8:30 AM, I received a loaner car and noticed my car was still parked waiting to be seen by a mechanic.

I received a call from [redacted] at 9:28 AM indicating a mechanic reviewed my car. He indicated the car did have a problem with a gasket for an oil pan. Cost for oil pan repair was $86.83 parts + $130 labor. Next problem was Ignition not starting. Issue was related to fuel pump, which would cost 4 hours of labor and part which I declined since it was too expensive. Finally, he reviewed work for an additional leaking coming from the water pump. Cost for water pump leak was $448.13 part + $130 labor.

I authorized work for oil leak and water pump, understanding total cost would be $794.96.

[redacted] called same day at 11:50 AM indicating my car was ready for pickup. He was going to lunch, so when I arrive let the service advisor know my invoice was on [redacted] desk. I explained I would be there in 15 minutes to pickup the car.

When I arrived, the final invoice was $1237.17. Break down of invoice is as follow.

Labor $130.00 x 4.5 = 590.23

Parts 556.24

Supplies 39.95

Hazardous Materials 2.00

TOTAL DUE $1,237.17

My concern, why was I getting billed for 4.5 hours when my car was there for 2.5 hours. [redacted] provided an explanation, one of our best technicians worked on the car so I received the best service. As I explained to Dexter, thank you for the fast service but the cost should be for 2.5 hours not 4.5 hours.Desired Settlement: I would like for Chapman to credit my credit for the difference. The car was only there for 2.5 hours. I was quoted a total amount of $794.96 for service.

Business

Response:

Mr.. [redacted] has been credited the desired difference and the matter has been resolved to his satisfaction. If there are any questions or if any additional information is needed, please contact me directly.Sincerely, [redacted]General Manager Direct ###-###-####Fax ###-###-####
