In 2016, I used publishing services from Christian Faith Publishing (CFP), and my book was published in the fall of that yearI signed a two-year agreement/contract with CFP, which stipulates that if I do not wish to renew my agreement/contract, all of my electronic files will be returned to me “immediately” without any cost to meI have sent Erin S***, whom I was told would handle my request, two emails, on June and June 13, requesting this to no availI have also called MsS*** and left several voicemails and have yet to receive any word from her, or anyone else from CFPAdditionally, I requested in my emails and voicemails that any royalties/monies from the sale of my book not yet remitted be immediately sent to me, which has not been done as of yet as well! This lack of action by CFP is a breach of our agreement/contractI would like this matter I have repeatedly requested to be resolved immediately

They were considerate, concerned to tell about the Word of God, provided publication specialist to assist throughout the process, they were concerned about good editing, great page and cover design, keep me informed throughout the process and allowed me to have input and the saw to it that it was distributed

I am so happy I found CFP I am a first time author, and I really needed a publishing company that would explain and lead me through the process CFP made the process easy and I learned so much My favorite part of the process was the illustration phase It was so exciting to see my characters come to life My publication specialist, Nicole, was awesome! She was there for me every step of the process with advice and ready for any question I had CFP has exceeded my expectations in every way The process was straight forward; I am more than happy with the final outcome I would recommend CFP to anyone who is looking to publish a book

The amount of money put into the bookDoes not equate into the quality of the printed book as printedWhich I never got a chance to sign-off onIt had poor background that made the print hard to readI only got to sign-off on the online line work and qualityThere was also poor promotion of the book before and after publication to books stores like Barnes and NobleAlso there was not any paid for Advertisement for the book as advertised or stated that would prove viable promotion of the bookAlso illegal withholding of royalties at this time with illegal contract termsNo answering of customer support contact number most of the time, phone number ***

CFP has been nothing short of amazingThis was my first book and they made the entire process easy, affordable, and as less stressful as possibleI started my process three years ago and went through some personal things to where I had to stop the process for a whileThrough that process, my publication specialist, Shannon checked on me and when I came back she helped me right from where we left offShe ended up leaving for a better opportunity, and Allie stepped right in and did an amazing job helping me on the tail end of everythingEvery time I spoke with them on the phone, or through email they were always so nice, helpful, and Christ-likeI recommend CFP to anyone, and definitely will be back for my future works

I truly enjoyed working with Taylor at CFP I love the cover of my book; the graphics/art department did an excellent job I love everything about my book! My only concern is that CFP did not completely proof and edit my book They looked over it a few times in the beginning of the publishing process but missed several major typosI was the one who finished editing my book As an author, I was too familiar with the wording and information in my book, so if my eyes saw a 'mistake', my brain corrected it, that's why I didn't catch the typos Only after my book was available for purchase and several of my friends purchased it and read it, is when they informed me of the 'mistakes' The editing was the most difficult process I feel like I could have used a little more help in that area All in all, I truly appreciate CFP's work on my first book!! I have already recommended CFP to several of my friends who are planning to have their books published

I chose CFP to self publish a day devotionalDue to the poor editing on CFP's part I had to hire (and spend more money) on the editing process myselfTheir staff is friendly and helpful, but he editing dept leaves MUCH to be desired!

Like the previous two reviewers, my experience with CFP, from start to finish, has been mostly a negative oneRegardless of the PR comments posted after these negative reviews, in an attempt save face or protect their image, I can confirm that these negative reviewers are telling the truth, because I have experienced the same issues alsoI only wish these reviews were available at the time of my inquiry regarding CFPHere is a breakdown based upon facts:
a) CommunicationRating: BThe CFP staff are very polite and professional; however, response times were often very slow, sometimes three or four days laterWhen I first inquired about their response time, I was told I could expect a response within hoursThis was not my experience many of the times
b) Skill, knowledge, and expertiseRating: FFrom start to finish, I was left wondering if these people just started in the publishing businessIn fact, I told them how shocked I was that they had not received more negative reviews, but now I know whyMost of the reviewers here are first-time authors who don't know what they should expect or what they should be entitled toI had to keep telling them things they should have known all along
c) Quality of workRating: CThe copy-editing they provide is so poor that I have to assume that it is being done electronically by a program and not a real editorThe interior formatting was a horror, with versions being submitted to me that violated clear industry standards (consistency, new chapter beginning on an odd page number, etc.)Often, you only discover these errors when you view a hardcopy proof, which they don't usually provideThey also basically use the same template for their interior formatting, but I fussed about it and demanded something unique, then I provided them with options for the styles I likedAs one reviewer pointed out, they are totally "cookie-cutter" in their approachCheck out their work online, the interior formatting, the book trailers, etc., and you will see that there is no arguing the factsThe press release was written so poorly, I was forced to do a complete rewrite, using my own time and resourcesWhen they did my eBook, they failed to include a Table of Contents (just like they have failed to do for many of their other clients alsoDon't believe me? Check out the CFP published eBooks online), and uploaded my unfinished eBook to the online vendors with someone else's author details and book descriptionDoes that sound professional to you? On top of that, the formatting was wrong on KindleIt still is, but they claim there is nothing they can do about it, which is a lie, as anybody who has any knowledge or experience in publishing will tell youI would explain the process here, but it would take up too much time and space
d) Schedule and deadlinesRating CThey were usually late in getting anything done, even though I always responded with approvals, corrections, or adjustments within a day or two after they were first submitted, a week at most (for the copy-editing)I expected to receive my book within 4-months or sooner, based on a time-frame discussed during the inquiry periodIt took 8-months for them to complete at an "escalated" levelYou would think that the longer timeframe meant better quality, but the longer it took, the worst everything seemed to get
I had really high hopes for this company, but what a disappointmentI was even willing to forego writing a negative review if they had been willing to work with me on correcting their mistakesBut all I kept getting is excusesMy only other recourse now is a legal oneDon't make the same mistake I didI believe that if the other positive reviewers (first-time authors) knew what they should have been getting, or were more experienced in the process, many would change their review

My family and I are very thankful to CFP for their part in making my dream to becoming a published author, and making it a reality I sought God in prayer for a publisherCFP was suggested after my daughter saw their advertisement Part of my title, "*** ** *** ***" can be liken to the fact that, I believe your company was the best one to publish my book Thank you again for everything

I want to state I have been undergoing spiritual warfare in a way no man, woman, or child has ever herd of since turning I was commanded by God to write my life story, after a prison beating that should of killed meThe TRUMPET sounded off in my head saying " Write about yourself, do it in the truth to help somebody, and glorify God."

I wanted a publisher that would help bring out the best in my bookI wanted a place that wouldn't make me compromise my visionCFP did exactly thatThey made sure that I had input in every aspect of the process and exceeded my expectations in different areas like cover artEvery time I moved onto the next step it was like Christmas morning, but cover design and receiving my hard copy books had to be my ultimate favoriteThere's nothing like holding your hard work in your hands and seeing that it's real! The communication with Adam was excellentHe was always very quick and informative with his responsesIt took many emails for me to understand different parts of this process and he answered them all with efficiency and patienceI feel as though he went over and beyond for me especially when I felt like my vision wasn't coming throughI had some stumbles with the book trailer and he was able to get the changes made that were necessary to properly advertise the storyHe was a pleasure to work with!
