If the complainant responds it is satisfactory Planet Fitness will cancel the membership and refund the amount requested since it is such a very small amountThere is no record at all of a cancel and the member cannot provide one. Min Friday the member did threaten to assault our employee via
a communication device ( phone) which is against the lawOur employee has filed a report with the *** PD and is filing a charge of aggravated harassment on FridayI believe a phone call to Shelby apologizing will make her reconsider the charge. Also calling our regional manager on his cell phone over 20$ on a Friday night at 10:pm was probably not the best choice either. Once again membership will be cancel and refund given only after this member agrees this is satisfactory

We spoke to the member and we will mail the check today to her address. This was an online transfer error that our gym had no involvement inOur management team is not familiar with this issue as it was probably handled by Elizabethtown Planet FitnessThis location is not owned or operated by
us however to close out the issue we will mail the check to the member and we will contact the other franchisee to handle this issue for the member

I have looked into this issue and have found the following:The balance due is from *** dues not going through for 12-17-14, 2-17-and her annual fee on 2-1-In looking at her account there are no notes listed as far as any inquiries regarding the account from ***We have two managers
on site from 9-on weekdays and 9-on the weekends*** check ins on 6-10, 7-1, 7-8, and 7-are all while we had two managers on duty so I am unsure how *** was unable to be assisted by a manager If *** could provide the bank statements showing her dues paid for 12-17-14, 2-1-and 2-17-I would be more than happy to waive any balance Any cancelation of the membership would need to be done by simply mailing us a letter or stopping in to any local Planet Fitness and filling out a cancelation form It also was unclear to me whether *** was stating she paid a dollar balance If so please send me that statement as well. Our club phone number is ###-###-#### and our manager Mallory Cwould be more than happy to go over the members account with her and answer any questions

The complainant is filing a Revdex.com complaint because her desired news station was not on in the locker roomCertainly we can not accommodate all requests for changes in TV stations Currently in the woman’s room a music station is on Next week may be a news station As far as a
refund The member absolutely at no time was advised she would receive a refund for an annual feeThe member was advised a request would be put in and then advised via phone and email the request was denied. The members canceled on 5-1- To not be charged the annual fee a cancel would have had to be submitted in January of 2018. Request for refund is denied

Planet Fitness proposed resolution was to waive the existing balance and cancel the membershipThe complaintants response rejects the offer and suggests a resolution be for Planet Fitness to waive the balance and cancel the memberhsip This is exactly how PF proposed to settle this matterPlanet Fitness is waiving the balance of dueIf this resolution is not accepted the balance will remain and the membership will remain active until the balance is paid in full Planet Fitness requests a response of accept or decline of the offer so we know how to proceed

As stated in the companies previous response, Mr*** was sent an email on 3/after he transferred his membership from the Planet Fitness in Indy to Newport KYThis email advised him his transfer went through and he could stop in and use the Newport KY gymMr *** was in and did use the facilityThe fact he did not use the facility after the first day per his contract does not preclude him from paying duesPer the contract the membership must be canceled in person or by certified mail to stop the billingMr *** claims just by non use of the club should mean he is not billed This is incorrect and is made clear in his contract. Mr *** in his response also mentions he didn't receive any text messages to his phoneThe number supplied to us when transferring is ###-###-####A different phone number then what was supplied to the Revdex.comThe email address however supplied to the Revdex.com is the same one as we have on file where the transfer confirmation was sent and received as well as an email sent each and every month advising Mr *** of his membership balance.Planet Fitness feels that waiving Mr ***'s entire balance , the one he has with Newport KY as well as the balance he accrued at our Cincinnati Eastgate location a few years prior is a very fair offerOur companies willingness to go above and beyond to satisfy our members on billing disputes is very well known in the Cincinnati market .If Mr *** wishes as a further gesture of our good will we will give him also free months going forward if the black card membership which he could use in Indy or Newport or at any of our over locations

In the response it did state that they had waived the full balance on the account and that the member is not responsible for it any longer. I did check online and it does look as it has been cancelled but still has a balance of $62.70.

*** signed up for a membership and upon doing so a copy of her membership was automatically electronically emailed to herThe membership could not have been processed without a copy being sent to the members email provided. In this agreement the cancel policy states it can be done via
mail or by coming in to fill out a cancel formIt states cancels cannot be done via phone or email. *** states she called and canceled via telephoneIt is not possible for a member to cancel via phoneA letter is required via mail or a signed cancelation formAn employee would not risk their job forging a signature on a cancel form. *** states she came into the gym on 7-and gave a letter of cancel to the club after taking a cab and canceled on 7- *** states the clerk took the letter and asked for her pass and said it would be given to the correct personWhen a member comes in to cancel and wants to give a letter to the clerk we do not take the letter as we have to fill out a cancel form and have the member sign it the member is given a copy of the form and the other copy is scanned into their file and the cancel automatically goes through and the member emailed a copyA clerk would never say I have to give this to another personTHis is one of the most simple, basic things an employee does everydayThere is no giving it to someone elseWe also don't ever ask for the pass backThe pass is on a keytag, usually hard to take off and it has our logo on it and we would rather have the member with it as ***ng for us and a form of advertisingThe member can also use the tag if they rethe 100+ dollars charged to *** were from months of outstanding dues that were declined the billing company charged her on 12-for the months owed . As a courtesy Planet Fitness would be willing to cancel this membership now based on the email to the Revdex.com We further will offer *** months free since she had not used the club and had transportation issues

I Sent a response to this and called and emailed the member and have not received a phone call or email back from her..anything more I can do? As we want to close this amicably

When I signed up for the $promotion why wasnt the contract portion mentioned or explained to me? But the explained and consistently talked about "grunting" and other non factor stuff If a payment didnot go through, why wasnt the money you were taking from my membership added to that balance? you can view just how many times Ive been in there Do you think I will be paying for a membership that I dont use?? I wrote a letter and dropped it off on my way to work...I knew that I had to have it in by the tenth because I called and that is what I was told to doSo now why is there not a copy to be found? In closing it is clear that this is some foolishness and omit information situation My resolution is very simple close my account PERMANENTLY with a zero balance I never want to be a customer of PLANET FITNESS AGAIN!! NOTE THERE WILL BE A CERTIFIED LETTER SENT TODAY..01/30/Thanks

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:The member has a membership and upon joining did receive a copy of the agreement that explained the billing of said membership as well as the cancelation policyThe member has been advised a few times to mail a certified letter or come in person to cancel as stated in the agreement. The member has not done so and does not have a copy of the receipt from a certified letter which is required for Planet Fitness to consider processing a refund. If the member sends a letter via certified mail or stops into the gym he can cancel the membership and Planet Fitness will refund the annual fee charged to the member. My response is this : I was never told, until 2/5/by Ellie W***, that my request needed to be sent by certified mail. So does this mean since I sent via priority mail that I'm SOL? That's *** business and even *** customer service. It's easier to cancel a bank account or credit card than it is to cancel a membership with Planet Fitness. Regards,*** ***

*** joined Planet Fitness and agreed to have plus tax deducted electronically from her checking account and also a 39$ annual fee deducted on June of every year*** was signed up by our club manager Chelsey that has been with us for years. On 4-plus tax (21.45)
was attempted to be deducted from her checking account and it declined for what appears to be an improper account numberOn 4/plus a 10$ fee was deducted from the secondary billing As stated *** called and spoke to a customer service rep and we reversed the entire on 5/3/and then charged just the refunding the 10$ as requestedI have a record of this transaction if *** would like it. On 6-*** was charged the 39$ annual fee plus tax as per the membership agreement she signed, initialed and was emailed a copy of On 6-she canceled the membership with Planet Fitness. If *** is not going to remain a member of the gym we would be happy to mail a refund chic of 39$ Plus tax today or we can do the reversal as we did on 5/and refund her checking account Please note that takes 7-business days to hit the accountA benefit of doing it that way is that usually a bank will waive a overdraft fee with a reversal Please let me know which way *** would like us to proceed We certainly would love to have her back as a member and would be willing to give her two months free if she wishes
