Planet Fitness proposed resolution was to waive the existing balance and cancel the membershipThe complaintants response rejects the offer and suggests a resolution be for Planet Fitness to waive the balance and cancel the memberhsip This is exactly how PF proposed to settle this matterPlanet Fitness is waiving the balance of dueIf this resolution is not accepted the balance will remain and the membership will remain active until the balance is paid in full Planet Fitness requests a response of accept or decline of the offer so we know how to proceed

Planet fitness will mail a check out for the full amount requested once the member asvises that this is satisfactory Apologize it was t handled sooner.

The complaintant reached out to us yesterday and we came to a resolution

Our regional manager Adam S*** has spoken to *** and has resolved the situation*** had a month membership that required a 58$ buyout fee if the membership was canceled before the month periodWhen the cancel letter was received Planet Fitness called *** to let her know a
58$ buyout fee was required to cancel the membershipWe have waived the buyout fee and canceled the membership and also refunded the member

I was not notified via email that there had been action on the complaint and was not aware of such until now when I checked the statusI will not be able to provide bank statements by 5/10/and request another days to gather the documentation

We have attempted to reach out to the complaintant via phone and email and haven't been able to reach them todayI am hoping this response reaches them in a timely mannerIn regards to the initial complaint, we received notice from our corporate office on October 7thThe check was wrote and
postmarked the same dayThis check has been cashedAs a courtesy for the error and in addition to the refund, we did in fact offer October and November monthly dues at no costWe would be happy to provide our billing statement showing that no monthly dues were charged to the member at this timeUpon further research, we found that the complaintant is paying for another member, which we have a financial cosigner form signed forI have no doubt of the complaintant being able to show a bank statement for monthly dues attempting to come out of their account in October and NovemberHowever, I also can show every month other than October and November having two withdrawal attempts on the 17th instead of just oneThere has been nothing charged, since the annual fee from the original complaint, that has been charged erroneouslyThe original complaint was rectified and as I mentioned before, the two free months, were granted in addition to the refund

*** signed up for a membership and upon doing so a copy of her membership was automatically electronically emailed to herThe membership could not have been processed without a copy being sent to the members email provided. In this agreement the cancel policy states it can be done via
mail or by coming in to fill out a cancel formIt states cancels cannot be done via phone or email. *** states she called and canceled via telephoneIt is not possible for a member to cancel via phoneA letter is required via mail or a signed cancelation formAn employee would not risk their job forging a signature on a cancel form. *** states she came into the gym on 7-and gave a letter of cancel to the club after taking a cab and canceled on 7- *** states the clerk took the letter and asked for her pass and said it would be given to the correct personWhen a member comes in to cancel and wants to give a letter to the clerk we do not take the letter as we have to fill out a cancel form and have the member sign it the member is given a copy of the form and the other copy is scanned into their file and the cancel automatically goes through and the member emailed a copyA clerk would never say I have to give this to another personTHis is one of the most simple, basic things an employee does everydayThere is no giving it to someone elseWe also don't ever ask for the pass backThe pass is on a keytag, usually hard to take off and it has our logo on it and we would rather have the member with it as ***ng for us and a form of advertisingThe member can also use the tag if they rethe 100+ dollars charged to *** were from months of outstanding dues that were declined the billing company charged her on 12-for the months owed . As a courtesy Planet Fitness would be willing to cancel this membership now based on the email to the Revdex.com We further will offer *** months free since she had not used the club and had transportation issues

The complainant is filing a Revdex.com complaint because her desired news station was not on in the locker roomCertainly we can not accommodate all requests for changes in TV stations Currently in the woman’s room a music station is on Next week may be a news station As far as a
refund The member absolutely at no time was advised she would receive a refund for an annual feeThe member was advised a request would be put in and then advised via phone and email the request was denied. The members canceled on 5-1- To not be charged the annual fee a cancel would have had to be submitted in January of 2018. Request for refund is denied

Planet Fitness Regional Manager *** *** has spoken to Ms*** and Planet Fitness has agreed to cancel the membership immediately and waive any existing balance on the account. PF also will refund any and all charges that were billed after a cancel if Ms.*** provides a copy of
the cancelation form.

The response made by the Club Manager is untrue. I at no time asked for the television to be switched to "my news station". As I have stated in emails to the corporate office, I find it inappropriate in today's political climate for a business such as Planet Fitness to run ANY cable news station in a place where everyone is forced to view it. I am personally offended by the type of programming that *** *** broadcasts, and I simply asked for it to be changed to the music video channel which all of the other club televisions (including the men's locker room) are tuned to. The Club Manager did lead us to believe that we would receive a refund of our annual fee, but also did state to us that the request had to go through his corporate office. The Club Manager told us that he had been instructed by his corporate office to accommodate us in whatever way was necessary. This complaint is more about Planet Fitness' claim that they "strive to create a workout environment where everyone feels accepted and respected" than a financial recovery. Their claim is obviously not true as I notified them, in good faith, that I found the television station they were broadcasting offensive and they refused to change it.

Regards,*** * *** ***Attached is an original voicemail that we received on 3/15/from the Club Manager after lodging a complaint to the corporate office via email.? The voicemail indicates that the station being tuned to *** *** was not appropriate and would be corrected and would "no longer be a problem".? I emailed the corporate office at least times about this matter and each time I received the same response telling me that the corporate office has no control over the stations to which the club televisions are tuned, and that this is up to the individual club.? We have no documentation regarding the Club Manager's inference that we would receive a refund of our yearly fee paid in February.? I spoke to him on the phone before we came in to cancel our membership and he told me that he was told by his corporate office to accommodate us in whatever manner necessary.? When we came in to cancel the membership, he told us that we should watch our account for the refund, and that it had to go through the corporate office before we would receive the refund.? Then when approximately weeks went by, my husband called to check the status of the refund and was told it was denied.? To summarize:? I made several requests in good faith for the club to cease to show *** *** on the women's locker room large screen television.? Every other large screen television in the facility is appropriately tuned to a music video channel.? I was told the channel would be changed, and then they reversed their decision stating that there were many requests for *** *** (I find this highly doubtful)They collected a yearly fee from us in February for the entire yearWe would never have renewed our membership if I had known that *** *** would be playing nonstop in the women's locker room.? We cancelled our membership on May and given the circumstances of the cancellation, I feel that they should refund our yearly fee.?

The entire balance has been waived If ever an issue the member has this email as a reference? It takes hours sometimes to process.?

If the complainant responds it is satisfactory Planet Fitness will cancel the membership and refund the amount requested since it is such a very small amountThere is no record at all of a cancel and the member cannot provide one.? Min Friday the member did threaten to assault our employee via
a communication device ( phone) which is against the lawOur employee has filed a report with the ***? PD and is filing a charge of aggravated harassment on FridayI believe a phone call to Shelby apologizing will make her reconsider the charge.? Also calling our regional manager on his cell phone over 20$ on a Friday night at 10:pm was probably not the best choice either.? Once again membership will be cancel and refund given only after this member agrees this is satisfactory?
