The membership is canceledI have waived the full balance on the account as well and the member is not responsible for it any longer?

I was not asked to fill out any paperwork at the gymI was directed to initiate the transfer online via the websiteI do not recall ever receiving any indication that the transfer was completed.?

The member has a membership and upon joining did receive a copy of the agreement that explained the billing of said membership as well as the cancelation policyThe member has been advised a few times to mail a certified letter or come in person to cancel as stated in the agreement? The
member has not done so and does not have a copy of the receipt from a certified letter which is required for Planet Fitness to consider processing a refund.? If the member sends a letter via certified mail or stops into the gym he can cancel the membership and Planet Fitness will refund the annual fee charged to the member? ?

Mr.*** signed up for a membership with a month minimum term agreeing to have 10$ plus tax deducted from his account on the 17th of every monthThe club manager who has been an employee with Planet Fitness for years signed Mr.*** upThe agreement contains the cancelation policy which
states it must be done by certified mail or in person at the clubMr.*** signed and initialed that he understood the agreeemnt and cancelation policyTo date there has been no certified letter or cancelation at the club as a 58$ buyout fee would have had to be paid if it was canceled prior to the month termMr*** currently has a balance due of for dues not going through for the months of April thru JulySince April we have sent a monthly text message to the number Mr.*** supplied us when he joinedThis number is not the same number supplied to the Revdex.com? I will also note Mr.*** was a previous member of our Finneytown club and did cancel his membership there he had prior to this one so he is aware of the process ? Mr.*** who has a balance is requesting that Planet Fitness refund him money and I'm not sure I understand how that request can be madeAs stated above Mr.*** had a month commit that just expired so a cancelation could not have been submitted earlier unless a buyout fee was paid which it was notAlso as noted above the months of April, May,June and July declined so what exactly could be refunded?? As a courtesy to Mr.*** if he accepts the offer as reasonable and satisfactory Planet Fitness will waive his existing balance if he comes into the club and cancels or sends a certified letter per policyWe would recommend this be done prior to 2/as his annual fee of 29$ will be billed on 2/1.?

Our regional manager Adam S*** has spoken to *** and has resolved the situation*** had a month membership that required a 58$ buyout fee if the membership was canceled before the month periodWhen the cancel letter was received Planet Fitness called *** to let her know a
58$ buyout fee was required to cancel the membershipWe have waived the buyout fee and canceled the membership and also refunded the member?

We have reviewed the complaint filed with the Revdex.comWe have attempted to reach the member via
telephone but received no call back.? The member was a member of Planet Fitness in Indy and transferred his membership online on 3/20/On 3/22/a confirmation email wa sent to the email provided in this complaint confirming his membership was transferred to our gym in Newport KYMr.*** also had dues taken out of his account electronically by Newport PF beginning on 4-17-per his contract ? as stated by Mr.*** he used the gym in Newport KY however it was during the short period when the transfer was pending in the computerPer the email to Mr *** on 3/22/the transfer was complete and validTo stop the billing to the account per the contract a cancel must be done via certified mail or in person ? and neither was completed by Mr.***.As a courtesy to Mr.*** Planet Fitness will cancel his account and waive the existing balance from this past year and also the existing balance he has when he was a member of one of our other Cincinnati area clubsWe however cannot refund monies properly charged to the account ? .if Mr *** deems this acceptable and advises the Revdex.com of the same then we will proceed in the above manner ? if he is in disagreement we will proceed theough collections ? ? ? ? ?

In response to the statement from this complaintant:Last week a gym member came to the front desk of our gym and advised a staff member that there were woman in the minute room not following the instructions on the wallShe stated this was an ongoing problem and asked the staff to correct it
For clarity, the minute room is a separate room that has ten strength machines in it and steps along with a green and red light affixed to the wallThere is a big sign posted out front that lets members know the room is for circuit users onlyInside the room the instructions on how to use the roomMembers are required to do the circuit clockwise and to follow the red and green lightWorking out when green and stopping when redMembers going counter clockwise will run into other members doing the circuit correctlyMembers not following the light will also lead to the same result.? Last week our manager explained the above to the memberSomething that is done on a daily basis as some members like this one doesn't follow the instructions listed on the wallAlmost always after we explain how the room is to be utilized our staff is thanked and the member is pleasedLast week however this member became irate and told the manager she pays dues and she can do whatever she wanted toShe said she would be back and would do the room backwards and against the rules until she was canceledShe made good on her promise and came back yesterdayOur manager once again asked that the member and her friend follow the rules and she refused and was canceledAt absolutely no time did we or would we require a member to sign anything after they were a member that they were agreeing to follow the rulesThis statement is just made up and I am baffled as to why The member upon joining agreed to follow the rules so we would not require her or anyone to do it again? The member was loud and abusive to staff and is against following our rules? We own and operate locations since and have canceled members in those yearsIt is rare that a member just plain tells us they won't follow our rules but when that occurs we have no other choice but to part waysWe wish her the best on her fitness journeySettlement is declinedNo further response will come from us on this matter?

Unsure what the customer is stating here exactly. Customer states she has hosted at several Planet Fitness gyms. Unsure what that means. Could the customer explain that further  We are a gym. Customer is also requesting the date her dues are deducted be changed. All of our...

over 10 million Planet Fitness members are billed on the 17th of every month and this is stated in the contract the  customer signed an initialed.  Customer is also stating contact info for the business is not available. The gym phone number is noted correctly on the website And is on the business cards at the desk. The regional managers phone number is also listed on a business card at the desk. The contact for the corporate headquarters can be reached by clicking on contact me and allows the customer to email the corporate office directly and get an immediate response after going to [redacted].Customer is also stating she was given fake phone numbers. Customer spoke directly to a regional manager immediately after she came into the gym. The customer was advised from the regional manager she spoke to she could print out for her why she had a balance and the paperwork is there for her to pick up.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response made by the Club Manager is untrue.  I at no time asked for the television to be switched to "my news station".  As I have stated in emails to the corporate office, I find it inappropriate in today's political climate for a business such as Planet Fitness to run ANY cable news station in a place where everyone is forced to view it.   I am personally offended by the type of programming that [redacted] broadcasts, and I simply asked for it to be changed to the music video channel which all of the other club televisions (including the men's locker room) are tuned to. The Club Manager did lead us to believe that we would receive a refund of our annual fee, but also did state to us that the request had to go through his corporate office.  The Club Manager told us that he had been instructed by his corporate office to accommodate us in whatever way was necessary. This complaint is more about Planet Fitness' claim that they "strive to create a workout environment where everyone feels accepted and respected" than a financial recovery.  Their claim is obviously not true as I notified them, in good faith, that I found the television station they were broadcasting offensive and they refused to change it. Regards,[redacted]Attached is an original voicemail that we received on 3/15/18 from the Club Manager after lodging a complaint to the corporate office via email.  The voicemail indicates that the station being tuned to [redacted] was not appropriate and would be corrected and would "no longer be a problem".  I emailed the corporate office at least 3 times about this matter and each time I received the same response telling me that the corporate office has no control over the stations to which the club televisions are tuned, and that this is up to the individual club.  We have no documentation regarding the Club Manager's inference that we would receive a refund of our yearly fee paid in February.  I spoke to him on the phone before we came in to cancel our membership and he told me that he was told by his corporate office to accommodate us in whatever manner necessary.  When we came in to cancel the membership, he told us that we should watch our account for the refund, and that it had to go through the corporate office before we would receive the refund.  Then when approximately 3 weeks went by, my husband called to check the status of the refund and was told it was denied.  To summarize:  I made several requests in good faith for the club to cease to show [redacted] on the women's locker room large screen television.  Every other large screen television in the facility is appropriately tuned to a music video channel.  I was told the channel would be changed, and then they reversed their decision stating that there were many requests for [redacted] (I find this highly doubtful). They collected a yearly fee from us in February for the entire year. We would never have renewed our membership if I had known that [redacted] would be playing nonstop in the women's locker room.  We cancelled our membership on May 1 and given the circumstances of the cancellation, I feel that they should refund our yearly fee.

We spoke to the member and we will mail the check today to her address. This was an online transfer error that our gym had no involvement in. Our management team is not familiar with this issue as it was probably handled by Elizabethtown Planet Fitness. This location is not owned or operated by us however to close out the issue we will mail the check to the member and we will contact the other franchisee to handle this issue for the member.

Planet Fitness Regional Manager [redacted] has spoken to Ms. [redacted] and Planet Fitness has agreed to cancel the membership immediately  and waive any existing balance on the account. PF also will refund any and all charges that were billed after a cancel if Ms.[redacted] provides a copy of...

the cancelation form.

Planet Fitness received this complaint from [redacted] and immediately looked into the matter. We have emailed and phoned [redacted] to discuss his allegation that he came in to cancel however he did not answer the email or our phone call. [redacted] also never spoke to any member of our management team to...

attempt to resolve his cancelation issue. [redacted] has a note on his file from 8-11-15 stating he called to inquire about the cancelation policy and he was advised per his membership agreement he just simply needed to come in and fill out a cancelation form or mail a certified letter stating he wanted to cancel. To date we have not received any notice to cancel and Our records reflect [redacted] has not come in to cancel. Anyone coming in to cancel would have been noted on our recap sheet, canceled in our system and also the person canceling would have been given a copy of the cancelation form.  Yoings name is not on the recap sheet, not canceled in the system and I can  only assume he has no record of any cancelation because he didn't state he had one and he didn't answer an email or phone call ...Nevertheless Planet Fitness always looks to resolve any complaints. Even though the member didn't contact a manager and attempt to resolve this issue and there's no record of any cancel ever being attempted we will cancel the membership and waive the members balance.

The complaintant reached out to us yesterday and we came to a resolution.

[redacted] joined Planet Fitness and agreed to have 19.99 plus tax deducted electronically from her checking account and also a 39$ annual fee deducted on June 1 of every year. [redacted] was signed up by our club manager Chelsey that has been with us for 3 years. On 4-17 19.99 plus tax (21.45)...

was attempted to be deducted from her checking account and it declined for what appears to be an improper account number. On 4/22 21.45 plus a 10$ fee was deducted from the secondary billing.  As stated [redacted] called and spoke to a customer service rep and we reversed the entire 31.45 on 5/3/16 and then charged just the 21.45 refunding the 10$ as requested. I have a record of this transaction if [redacted] would like it. On 6-1 [redacted] was charged the 39$ annual fee plus tax as per the membership agreement she signed, initialed and was emailed a copy of.  On 6-2 she canceled the membership with Planet Fitness. If [redacted] is not going to remain a member of the gym we would be happy to mail a refund chic of 39$ Plus tax  today or we can do the reversal as we did on 5/3 and refund her checking account.  Please note that takes 7-10 business days to hit the account. A benefit of doing it that way is that usually a bank will waive a overdraft fee with a reversal.   Please let me know which way [redacted] would like us to proceed.  We certainly would love to have her back as a member and would be willing to give her two months free if she wishes.

We have reviewed the complaint filed with the Revdex.com. We have attempted to reach the member via...

telephone but received no call back. The member was a member of Planet Fitness in Indy and transferred his membership online on 3/20/16. On 3/22/16 a confirmation email wa sent to the email provided in this complaint confirming his membership was transferred to our gym in Newport KY. Mr.[redacted] also had dues taken out of his account electronically by Newport PF beginning on 4-17-16 per his contract  as stated by Mr.[redacted] he used the gym in Newport KY however it was during the short period when the transfer was pending in the computer. Per the email to Mr [redacted] on 3/22/16 the transfer was complete and valid. To stop the billing to the account per the contract a cancel must be done via certified mail or in person  and neither was completed by Mr.[redacted].As a courtesy to Mr.[redacted] Planet Fitness will cancel his account and waive the existing balance from this past year and also the existing balance he has when he was a member of one of our other Cincinnati area clubs. We however cannot refund monies properly charged to the account  .if Mr [redacted] deems this acceptable and advises the Revdex.com of the same then we will proceed in the above manner  if he is in disagreement we will proceed theough collections
