Greedy, greedy, greedyMade a home warranty claim on a hot water heaterTechnician (who was nice) showed up, charged bucks for the warranty deductible, got the information off the tank which I had already emailed, and left CNJ wanted to replace the supply/demand lines to the heater as they were flex hoses, and apparently code is now rigid connectionsFair enoughI called a city inspector2' copper flex lines are fine from a rigid connection to the tankSo CNJ is either unaware of city code (unlikely) oryeah Then they wanted to charge bucks to haul away the old tank Total cost: $600+ Got two quotes from other licensed plumbers independent of the home warranty: $and $ So CNJ charges were not only high, they were going to pocket the cost of the heater from the home warranty company on top of it allHa! Asked if I could install the lines myself and then they could just come install the tank if the lines met their approvalSuddenly they weren't interested in the job at allGo figure Maybe they do great workMaybe as good as other licensed contractors It will cost you significantly more to find out

CNJ was dispatched out to one of my rentals this weekThe complaint was 'no hot water'The final report from CNJ stated that the water heater needed to be replaced, and that an additional $of 'retrofitting' needed to be doneThe water heater there was only years old, and is a large gallon tankI thought something was fishy, so I got a second opinion from a trusted plumberMy plumber went in the home and turned on the hot water, everything was workingTenant wanted to wash clothes and take a shower, and didn't understand that she can't have endless hot waterCNJ was willing to scam me for $of unnecessary repairs, and replacing a working unitThis is completely unethicalNo repairs were necessary in the first placeStay away from them

Mr [redacted] called our office to notify us of this issueAt which point we asked him to send us a copy of the cleared checkMr [redacted] did provide us with this informationWe then in turn called his home warranty company and did notify them that our accounts receivable department had made an errorI apologize for this mistake but Mr [redacted] should not be receiving any more billsMy office also called Mr [redacted] to notify him that we received everything and cleared it up with his home warranty companyThank you, [redacted] General ManagerP: ###-###-####F: ###-###-####

Helpless & wrongThose are the two primary characteristics from my experience with the tech from CNJ ServicesHelpless: refused to even attempt to place a tool on either leaking shower valve -- claimed I need a professional (not them!) to route out the hole, large enough for the tool (which they did not test)I ended buying the tool at [redacted] and replacing the valves myself (no routing needed)Wrong: our very aged, very well-maintained Badger disposal froze up -- tech wriggled the motor, got it to spin again, and said, "Fixed" (I pleaded with him that I had been doing the same, but it was still sticking after a couple attempts after)After it froze the next day, I called [redacted] again (to complain about the it from CNJ and to blame [redacted] for choosing them) but they refused to helpClosed our [redacted] account on the spot

My home warranty company, through ***, recommended CNJ.Plumbing because I had a leaky faucet that needed fixing..A man by the name of Koko, from CNJ Plumbing came out to my condo on Thursday May 25th at 1:P.MHe was there maybe 10-minutes to tell me that he had to order a part I received a call from them that day and scheduled another appointment for Koko to return and fix my leaky faucet the next Friday June 2nd between 1:and 4:p.m At 2:p.mI received a call that they could not make it that dayI asked if they had a plan B which they told me that it was already in place and the best they could do was Monday June 5th between 10:and 1:p.mI told them I had to work that dayI had been on vacation for 1/weeks and Monday morning would not work for me they called me Monday morning to tell me that they were on their way to my house after I spoke with them and told theme that Monday morning didn't work for me and that I needed to make other arrangements with my home warranty company who promised to make this right! The person on the phone from CNJ Plumbing told me that she [did not get her name] was on the call with me and my home warranty company and said she heard me say that Monday would work for me!! I don't know what call she was on but, it wasn't the same call I was on because I repeatedly told them that Monday didn't work for me They had the nerve to charge me $for my service because I stupidly gave them my credit card number!! I used [redacted] and let me tell you, they fixed the leak in one day! And, their service fee was only $not including parts of labor My plea to the general public is " DON'T USE CNJ PLUMBING"!!

Watch out for these folks! In my experience they are a great example of the old door to door scam artists They were assigned to fix my water heater by my home warranty company and then I saw here at Revdex.com that they were not very positively regarded I tried to get the job moved to another plumber but my warranty company did not have another vendor available to provide They are now my old warranty company In the 5th largest city in the US they only had one vendor? Ha ha ha After disconnecting my old water heater CNJ loaded up the "non warranty covered parts" to a very high price They also added items that were not required according to the City code people Then they said take it or leave it when they showed up to install the new unit I had asked to be contacted by the owner from day one in this experience and never heard from him CNJ blamed the warranty company for CNJ's behavior and the tech blamed the office Everyone was just doing their job and they each reminded me of the awful atrocities committed in human history I wonder; How do these people sleep at night? What level of ethics do they live by? I could go on and on about this experience but I want to forget about CNJ asap! I hope others do not do business with them

My home warranty service provider contracted CNJ Services to repair my broken hot water heater The first day the plumber arrived, he soldered one joint and told me the hot water heater was fixed The next day everything was flooded again and I had to have the plumber out a second time The plumber was very rude upon arrival and continually asked me where the hot water heater was leaking from instead of troubleshooting the system himself I asked him to drain the hot water heater until the new unit could be installed, and when he came back days later to install the new unit, the water heater was full again and had to be re-drained (flooding my house for the 3rd time)I was without a hot water heater for full week due to the unit not being fixed properly the first time I was told by the company and by my home warranty company that I would only be charged a $trade call fee, and the company actually charged me $dollars I called the company to dispute the charge; they admitted it was their fault and they would send me a check in the mail that I still have not received Because of the plumber not having the technical skills to complete the job right the first time, I now have severe drywall damage and am concerned about mold, which is not covered by my home warranty or the plumbing company

This business is used by the equally horrible Old Repulsive Home Warranty company and other phony warranty companies like them Would not ever use C&J Services and they are completely clueless and misrepresent factual information back to the warranty companyNever would I use this business when there are so many great ,well respected plumbers to use Run from these people ,just a waste of time and money

The toilet has been leaking in the EXACT same spot behind the tank on the floor from the first time they came outThe repair man said it was coming from the shower supposedly from the shower door I kept checking to see when I took a shower to see if this was happening and there was NO water running from the shower to the back of the toilet, which my the way is on the opposite side of the toilet on the floor where the water is coming fromSo I kept trying figure out where the water was coming from and just happened to put my hand under the tank itself and found the water leaking from there in the EXACT spot of the original problem The repair person NEVER checked to see if the tank was leakingIt is the SAME issue I then called CNJ and spoke to a woman and she said I would have to call my warranty company and did state they would not charge another service fee I did call the warranty company and explained told them what CNJ said So he called them and put me on hold and came back and told me that CNJ would come back out but another $would be charged So someone is lying about what was said about another service not being chargedAnd Mr George J I received NO voice message on my cell which is working fine and had received other messages from other people that same day I saw a number had called but NO messagePlease stop lyingAnd from your response you made no mention that I DID call the warranty company and they called and spoke to your office, only to hear the same answerThis company should come back out without charging another service fee and fix the problem they should of the first time If you look on other sites for reviews ***, [redacted] and even [redacted] you will see the same patterns of lying and not doing the job correctlyWith a very POOR rating Any good business would of already taken care of the customer, this is just good businessThis company needs to come back out and FIX the ORIGINAL issue with no service fee

I was told by an CNJ representative that I would have to pay upwards of $additional for “code updates” in a voice mail message, I was told by CNJ that [redacted] (home warranty) set these prices and then in turn told by and [redacted] representative that CNJ set these prices After some research, there is in-fact no code updates needed to my house for the installation of a new water heater All of the code updates that were spoke of were updates to the design of the water heater itself not the way it is installed into a property So, after weeks without hot water my only option was to have CNJ install with these additional made up costs or to take an $cash out option from my home warranty that would not even cover the cost of the hot water heater itself (gallon) It appears to me that there was no vetting from [redacted] to ensure these so called “code updates” were valid charges for the customer to have to incur therefor this was a horrible experience since my $deductible turned into over $for something that should have been 100% covered per my contract

CNJ will contact Ms [redacted] and schedule for a contractor to take care of patching her drywall

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I specifically ask ask that I be notified when the work was completedI live in another state from where the work was doneI did not get any notificationThe tenant that lives in the house said that they told her they would be back to fix the wall so she did not notify meSo I am totally unaware that the work had not been completedShe said she waited for them to come back, as they told her, but they NEVER came nor did anyone They should have notified the warranty company of the unfinished work, or at least let me know that I needed to contact the warranty company ConsequentlyNow I have a big whole in my wall and when I was made aware of itI DID contact the [redacted] and they told me it wasn't their problem and I needed to call the contractor! I no longer have [redacted] because of other problems I had wih them...so I doubt if they will change their position on this matter Regards, [redacted] ***

CNJ was sent to my house from my home warranty company, Old Republic, to repair a cracked toiletThe plumber told my home warranty that we made "improper repairs" (to a toilet we had not repaired) but he would do the replacement for $retailHis lie has created a costly repair for us in a home we just moved intoThe plumber got his service fee for coming out and doing nothingStay awayIf your home warranty company sends you CNJ, request someone else

I could go on and on about this experience but I want to forget about CNJ asap! I hope others do not do business with them

CNJ does not deserve consumer businessThey refused
to do unclog my drain from washroom to kitchenThey left me with a flooded kitchen sink and claims
my place needed a clean outMy warranty company *** subcontracted their companyBecause *** accepted
their diagnosis, they also refused to do anythingThat same day I hired a private contractor and paid
out of pocket for the service I orinally requestedThey fixed the issue within less than an hourCNJ is not a legitimate business*** *** *** also needs to be reported DO NOT HIRE C--N-J PLUMBING if you want any work completedThey need to

This company was sent out by a major home improvement store in the valley to replace my water heater My water heater is outside and has a metal shed around it which I removedThe installer came out to do the work and when he was done he put the metal shed back on Nice of him, but I didn't ask him too I get a call from the owner and he starts yelling at me, telling me I am a lier and a cheap I asked the installer to put the shed on and I owed them for an additional minutes He continued to yell on the phone while I asked the installer if I requested him to put the shed back on He asked what the problem was, talked to his yelling boss and left Worst company ever

Worst experience everDid not do my water heater work and ask me to pay $out of pocket for house modification which was not required at allCalled other plumbing company and they did work without any modification

CNJ Services was sent out by American Home to address a plumbing leaks and other issues The company's plumber displayed an arrogant attitude and was never really focused on solving my problems When he came out a second time to address problems in other area of my home he came without the parts to fix the initial problem saying that he did not have the paperwork to install the parts which they said they had received I would never use this company again They appear only interested in collecting their $fee from AHS and not solving my problems Ahs to their credit has put the company under review and has agreed that they will never be assigned to one of my workorders

I ended up having what ended up to be a slab leak in my home and as a first time home buyer I was very scared, I didn't know what to doI called my home warranty company and they dispatched out CNJ ServicesThey fixed it in a timely manner and I didn't feel like they were trying to nickle and time me to no endMy technicians name was Kyle and he was wonderful, same with the office staff! Thank you CNJ!!
