HORRIFIC....HORRIBLE....UNPROFESSIONAL...There aren't enough words to describe this "so called" Business....Let me explain:...I have a home warranty co. called American Home Shield...I pay over $60 per month for them to basically protect my home through REPUTABLE companies that they are contracted with...I basically have NO CHOICE but to go with who they send out....About a month and a half ago my husband felt some moisture coming from the bottom of our hot water heater...The heater was over the warranty so we called AHS for a service request to check out if there was a leakage starting...They sent CNJ PLUMBING....The Tech (chris was written on the paper....russian accented guy) was in my Garage no more that 10 minutes and said "I SEE NO LEAK, CAN'T REPLACE IT"...I ask him if something was starting to go, if we should be concerned about it "blowing"...He assured me "NO...IT WILL NOT BLOW...YOU WILL SEE SOME LEAKAGE COMING OUT THE BOTTOM, JUST SHUT THE VALVE AND CALL US AT THAT TIME....I was concerned, but said OK..After all...He should know what he's talking about...So I paid the $75 10 minute service call and he went on his merry way..Fast Forward to NOW...WATER HEATER BLOWS....WATER ALL THROUGHOUT MY GARAGE...Everything on the Floor SOAKING WET....Thank God I was home..Ran to shut the valve. Called him to tell him what happened (I wasn't happy, needless to say) he told me I had to call the warranty co to get ANOTHER work order...I called them, with the COMPLAINT of what SHOULD NOT have been able to happen, and they sent the Same guy Out again....I showed him the water mess I had, and said that I wanted it fixed ASAP and that I wasn't paying a dime more....He was RUDE AND ARROGANT..Hooked up a hose to my heater, said he has to get approval for the work and he would be back...Well....HE DIDN'T COME BACK....Instead I get a call from the Warranty company saying that it will cost an 'ADDITIONAL $400" that I would have to pay to have it replaced for parts that "are not covered"....I TOLD THEM that I should NOT have to pay a DIME to them because it is THEIR FAULT that this happened in the FIRST PLACE....If they diagnosed that it was rusting out from the bottom a month and a half ago, and replaced it then I would have gladly paid the additional....But now THEY OWE ME for their LAX JUDGEMENT AND MY MESS....Needless to say I am taking out the cashout reimbursement from the Warranty Co. and put whatever I am entitled to and pay a REBUTABLE Co. to replace my water heater...I will NEVER have CNJ do ANY WORK in my home and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that No One EVER does...If this is the only company that I have a choice in using for plumbing services through my warranty company, I have to see what it would cost me to GET OUT of my contract with them. I haven't had a problem with them in all the years with who they send out..UNTIL NOW..I need to have a choice in who does work in my home with people I TRUST...So BOTTOM LINE IS....DO NOT HIRE CNJ SERVICES LLC....

CJN Plumbing was sent out to my home by my home warranty company because my toilet was leaking at the base. The technician came, was in my home for 5-10 minutes and determined they needed to replace the flange. At no time did the technician remove the toilet from the floor. My warranty company calls me back with a $1300 order were they are tearing apart my concrete and tile, replacing contaminated soil and 5 hours of labor. I thought his sounded crazy so I called around and spoke with other plumbers. The actual work that needed to be done was new bolts, wax seal and being sealed to the floor. I called CNJ to send back out the technician to show me what they thought needed to be done and why the work needed to be dome, but no one every contacted me again from this company.

Mr. [redacted] called our office to notify us of this issue. At which point we asked him to send us a copy of the cleared check. Mr. [redacted] did provide us with this information. We then in turn called his home warranty company and did notify them that our accounts receivable department had made an...

error. I apologize for this mistake but Mr. [redacted] should not be receiving any more bills. My office also called Mr. [redacted] to notify him that we received everything and cleared it up with his home warranty company. Thank you, [redacted]General ManagerP: ###-###-####F: ###-###-####

CNJ Is in the process of replacing the water heater today.

Well apparently I'm not the only one who has a negative comment about this company. Through our home warranty this company was called out to fix a clogged kitchen sink. When Hubert the tech came out, he said the out take valve was on the roof and was not covered. Since he did no work he was not going to charge us for the $75 fee. We end up getting charged, so I called and talked to NADIA. I have never heard of an employee treating a customer the way so did. First of all she would not let me speak as her voice is getting more stern. Then it turned into a SHOUTING MATCH! And then accuses me of not wanting to pay. I don't mind paying a service fee for a service, but Hubert didn't do a service. A friend of ours who is a maintenance man for a hotel came over and fixed it....unscrewed the pipes underneath, cleared out the clog, took him 15 minutes. I would never recommend this company to anyone! P.S. You might want to FIRE NADIA!!!

CNJ Services received the work order for Mr. [redacted] on Dec 5th from [redacted] Home Warranty. Subsequently we called his tenant and scheduled the call for December 13th. [redacted] was the tech dispatched to diagnose the issues at Mr. [redacted]’s rental property. The tenant pointed out several issues the simple ones were taken care of. The home warranty company has rules about situations that are not simple such as the shower valve leaking and needs to be accessed through a wall so they can determine weather item will be covered or not.  [redacted] explained to the customer that CNJ does not create access through tile or stucco and generally speaking home warranty usually will not cover the access. In addition, he also informed the tenant that he would need to come back to change the shower valve cartridge after we got authorization from [redacted] and we get the right parts. [redacted] did deny the access portion of the job. The tenant at this time pointed out that she had an issue with the shower head. [redacted] tried to tighten it and it was very loose at and kept spinning without tightening (shower arm) at which point he informed the tenant that there is an issue in the wall most likely and until we get access we could not figure out what is going on and that shower should not be used. Obviously the shower was used and did cause some damage. [redacted] another tech wend out on December 18th after access had been created. He went out replaced the shower cartridge and saw that the issue was as thought with the shower arm the piece inside the wall had broken. I still have the fitting in the office as it is not a fitting we would use we would generally use a brass 90 strapped to a stud. The plastic fitting had failed. During this whole time I personally spoke with Mr. [redacted] we went back and fourth about who was truthful who was not [redacted] has been with me for 4 years and this is the first time  someone was calling him a liar basically. I quickly realized that it’s a he said she said situation, so I offered Mr. [redacted] a compromise I will send a general contractor who also does dry outs to give us an estimate on what would take to make this right and we would split the cost 50/50. Mr. [redacted] also seemed to agree that it was fair as no one would win in a back an forth. [redacted] Construction went out there and informed me that it wasn’t that much of damage and they could dry out the home and replace sheet rock. Since we have had done work with them they have used us we have used them they would give me a great discount. [redacted] at [redacted] informed me that it was very evident that this was not our fault and maybe the home owner should file a claim. I wanted him to discuss this with the homeowner and let me know. [redacted] called me back to tell me that Mr. [redacted] was uneasy with filing a claim. At this point I wanted to go above and beyond in the name of customer service and called Mr. [redacted] to tell him that even though I do not believe this is our fault I would take care of the issue with [redacted]s help and that he would not be billed for their services I would be. I thought at this point we had reached an agreement. A day or two later my contact at [redacted] called me and said that Mr. [redacted] would not let them work until they put it in writing that the whole issue was CNJ’s fault. They called me as they can clearly see that it wasn’t our fault that the shower arm was broken and there was evidence of an on going slow leak. I reached out to Mr. [redacted] to find out what’s going on  and his tune had changed for some reason and wanted the letter from me admitting fault which I 100% disagree with, I informed him that I am not going to do that. At this point Mr. [redacted] became very aggressive and threatening with law suits and writing letters to everyone and basically putting us out of business. I did not want to argue with Mr. [redacted]. Subsequently, he kicked [redacted] of the job. Mr. [redacted] has written to [redacted] the Revdex.com and now to the[redacted]. Bottom line is that there was an issue with the shower head CNJ would have not touched the shower head if the tenant had not pointed out the issue. I do believe [redacted]  informed the tenant that there is an issue with the shower arm and that she should not use the shower. I cannot prove this for a fact but common sense would dictate that if you have an issue with your shower you would not use it until we completed the job, especially since we informed you that the project would not be completed and that there is an access issue. CNJ went above and beyond for this customer and that still was not enough. Again this was in no way our fault. As far as the attached reviews Mr. [redacted] has provided to you I am very well aware of those and that is more an issue with the home warranties and coverage then it is with CNJ. Unfortunetly it’s the cost of doing business with the Home Warranty companies. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. I abosolutely believe that Mr. [redacted] is taking advantage of the whole situation and trying to strong arm to get his way. CNJ is not to blame and we are not willing to work with Mr. [redacted] we have involved our insurance company and I am confident that they will find that CNJ is not at fault. I have also attached the original work order from [redacted] which clearly lists a leak in the Master shower valve. Thank you,[redacted]Member/Owner

The fact is that the Uniform Plumbing code which is the state code governs all city codes in AZ. As far as the $85.00 service fee this again is what his contract with the Home warranty requires him to pay just for the diagnosis and its clearly outlined in his contract. Secondly Mr. [redacted]ook out a cash settlement on 06/30/2015 from his home warranty company. We received the notice from his home warranty company and instructions to close out the job in our system.  Mr. [redacted] can use the cash settlement to install the water heater himself or hire another contractor. George J[redacted]General ManagerP: [redacted]F: [redacted]

My home warranty service provider contracted CNJ Services to repair my broken hot water heater. The first day the plumber arrived, he soldered one joint and told me the hot water heater was fixed. The next day everything was flooded again and I had to have the plumber out a second time. The plumber was very rude upon arrival and continually asked me where the hot water heater was leaking from instead of troubleshooting the system himself. I asked him to drain the hot water heater until the new unit could be installed, and when he came back 3 days later to install the new unit, the water heater was full again and had to be re-drained (flooding my house for the 3rd time). I was without a hot water heater for 1 full week due to the unit not being fixed properly the first time.
I was told by the company and by my home warranty company that I would only be charged a $55 trade call fee, and the company actually charged me $205 dollars. I called the company to dispute the charge; they admitted it was their fault and they would send me a check in the mail that I still have not received.
Because of the plumber not having the technical skills to complete the job right the first time, I now have severe drywall damage and am concerned about mold, which is not covered by my home warranty or the plumbing company.

The technician came out and didn't want to hear what the problem was, he had already determined what the issue was and was going to fix it. We had no hot water. He was frustrated and disheveled and totally unprofessional. When I told him what I thought about the problem, he ignored it. He replaced the element and said, "that will do it." But the main issue of sediment build-up was not addressed, I told him to wait and I wanted to call his supervisor, as I went to go call, the supervisor made excuses and said he would call me back. Meanwhile the technician left! Never got a call back, so I called back, supervisor said, claim was denied, end of story. This company is a joke and I also filed a complaint with my warranty company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I specifically ask ask that I be notified when the work was completed. I live in another state from where the work was done. I did not get any notification.. The tenant that lives in the house said that they told her they would be back to fix the wall so she did not notify me. So I am totally unaware that the work had not been completed. She said she waited for them to come back, as they told her, but they NEVER came nor did anyone.  They should have notified the warranty company of the unfinished work, or at least let me know that I needed to contact the warranty company.  Consequently... Now I have a big whole in my wall and when I was made aware of it.... I DID contact the [redacted] and they told me it wasn't their problem and I needed to call the contractor!  I no longer have [redacted] because of other problems I had wih them...so I doubt if they will change their position on this matter.
Regards,

CNJ was sent to my house from my home warranty company, Old Republic, to repair a cracked toilet. The plumber told my home warranty that we made "improper repairs" (to a toilet we had not repaired) but he would do the replacement for $350 retail. His lie has created a costly repair for us in a home we just moved into. The plumber got his service fee for coming out and doing nothing. Stay away. If your home warranty company sends you CNJ, request someone else

ETA from 11am-2pm. Arrived 1:35pm. All I needed was two spout diverters changed, both bathtubs. He turned on the water to one and said the valve needed replacing. 2nd bathroom, he didn't even do that. Just looked at it. I had tried pulling up the diverter [redacted] and broke the top off (corroded), so I know what needed done. He didn't even try to move it, didn't turn on the water -nothing. He came for his $75.00 service fee and now I feel like I'll have to watch my bank account to see if the add a -0- to it as I feel they're REAL crooks. I feel like I was scammed and am unhappy with my homeowners insurance recommending this terrible company. Am getting a second opinion.
