I was told by an CNJ representative that I would have to pay upwards of $additional for “code updates” in a voice mail message, I was told by CNJ that *** (home warranty) set these prices and then in turn told by and *** representative that CNJ set these prices After some research, there is in-fact no code updates needed to my house for the installation of a new water heater All of the code updates that were spoke of were updates to the design of the water heater itself not the way it is installed into a property So, after weeks without hot water my only option was to have CNJ install with these additional made up costs or to take an $cash out option from my home warranty that would not even cover the cost of the hot water heater itself (gallon) It appears to me that there was no vetting from *** to ensure these so called “code updates” were valid charges for the customer to have to incur therefor this was a horrible experience since my $deductible turned into over $for something that should have been 100% covered per my contract

I had a great experience with CNJ Plumbing! Brandon was knowledgeable and professionalHe went above and beyond to ensure my issues were addressedI will request this company for future jobs for sure!

CNJ Services went to Mr*** residence per the contract with Cross country home warranty that Mr*** has the services fee of is due at the time of arrival CNJ cannot even complete the diagnosis prior to collecting the service feeMr*** can call his home warranty and they
will verify that is the case or he can look at his contract with the home warranty company. CNJ at this point called Mr*** warranty company and reported everything that needs to be done to properly install the water heater at which point they decided based on Mr*** plan what is covered what is notI have seen plans that cover everything and plans that cover absolutely nothingThe UPC code which is a state code absolutely requires an expansion tank the code is which state that if its a closed loop system which in Mr*** case he is on a closed loop system you are required to put in an expansion tank which is a lot of labor and materials are definetly a lot more then Sediment trap, the TnP line are also code requiredI believe all this was explained to Mr*** by his home warranty companyHe was also informed that he needs to approve those charges prior to us completing an install his home warranty had informed us to put the job on hold until further notice from them. Thank you***

CNJ Services went to Mr*** residence on Fri 06/we discovered that Mr*** had issues with his shower handleCNJ is required to collect the service fee at the time of arrivalIt is part of Mr*** contract with his warranty company that the service fee is due regardless of weather
any work is completedCNJ is required to collect the service fee prior to even diagnosing the issueMr*** shower valve is a Delta under life time warranty from the manufacturer we called in the diagnosis to his warranty company and they informed us that since its under lifetime warranty it is not covered under his home warrantyAs a customer service we called Mr*** to let him know that if he ordered the parts from Delta they would ship it to him and we would come back and install the parts free of chargeUnfortunately Delta only wants to deal with the home owners not Plumbing companiesAnd as far as the service fee again I would encouridge Mr*** to call his home warranty and they will provide him with the same information about the service fee due no matter what. Thank you***

Joke of a company..! Unethical business, unreasonable cost , rip off total rip off of anybody that would fall for their bullstOnly reason there in business because of home warrentis and stupid people-in my book never have them come out do your self a favor

Firstly Mr*** lives in California and this service occurred at his rental property in AZ and all of his information comes as second hand knowledge from his tenantCNJ Services received a work order from *** *** home warranty regarding Mr*** property and main issue listed was the
master bath shower valveWhen we got there our tech quickly determined that the shower valve cartridge needed to be replaced and that we would need to order the cartridge and come backAt this point Mr*** tenant *** *** pointed out to our tech that there is an issue with the shower head as wellOur tech try to tighten the shower head and quickly discovered that there was an issue greater then tightening it and let the tenant know that when we come back with the cartridge we would look at that issue as wellWe also needed access to address that issue through the wall as the issue was with the shower head riserAfter we left the property the tenant Mrs*** *** used the shower with the issues in question and caused the secondary damageOnce the secondary damage occurred she stated that she was not told not to use the showerOur tech *** states that he did tell the tenant not to use the shower in questionRegardless common sense would indicate if there is an issue with the shower and CNJ informed the tenant we would need to come back with the correct parts to repair the shower a person would avoid using that showerMr*** continued to try to blame our tech and it quickly became the word of his tenant vs the word of our tech ***I was willing to compromise and did send a general contractor to Mr***'s rental property and had a verbal agreement with Mr*** to split the cost of the repair as a customer service gestureCNJ services completed the repair of both items. The general contractor reported that the damage was not that extensive and would not take much to dry outAt which point I wanted to go above and beyond with customer service and informed Mr*** that I would have our general contractor do the repairs and not charge anything to Mr***I thought the issue was resolvedMr*** at this point started wanting written statements from us and the general contractor on sight that this damage was CNJ's faultWhich is entirely untrue and neither of the companies were willing to write that statement as it was the tenant by continuing to use the shower that caused the secondary damageCNJ only was there for an initial assessment and let the tenant know that we would need to return to do the repairsFurthermore, the tenant pointed out the issue with the shower head otherwise CNJ would have not even known there is an issue with itMr*** at this point started being very threatening to me personally and also refused service from the general contractorSincerely, *** *** (owner)

Tech named "***" arrived at my house the morning of 10/31/to address intermittent hot waterThe tech went straight to the master sink, turned the water on, and made his assessmentHe claimed the "hot water lines were crossed" and he had to speak to his manager to wrtie a quoteThe invoice simply reads "crossed water liness" on the descritpion of workI provided a coupon printed from their site that wprovided a free "plumbing and safety 60pt inspection"The tech refused to honor the coupon saying he would "get to it next time"I called the manager and he defended his employee and spoke in circles about the reson the coupon would not be acceptedI never received an answerHe said he spoke directly to the tech and evidenlty he reported a "crack in the house" that caused the issueNot sure how he discovered a "crack in the house" with his minute assessmentCNJ quoted me $to fix whatever issue they had schemed togetherI called another company who came out the very next day, quickly identified faulty-coils in the hot water and turned up the temp from to is too cool according to the CDCThe initial setup of the water heater last year was also performed by CNJThis company is crooked, they lie and refuse to honor coupons

CNJ Services went beyond when they replaced my water heater I bought a tankless from them years ago and the unit would have problems occasionally and did change out the unit about years ago due to a design defect Here we were yet again with some of the same issues, which it took some time on their part to track down the info they needed because the manufacturer Eternal went out of business last year George discussed the situation with me personally about our options which we decided to have the same upgraded unit replaced which happened to be on the East Coast in storage After a week the unit still hadn't arrived which was getting to be critical because last Thursday the unit made a kaboom noise then blew a hole into the bottom of the unit and water leaked onto the floor Fortunately I was nearby and heard it or we could have had water damage into the basement Last night a brand new unit and different brand was installed by Roger an Cory They stuck with it and finally finished the modifications after hours I am very grateful George kept on top of this issue and it was great to finally have a full shower with hot water! Thank you CNJ and all the employees for your hard work!!!

Regards,
*** *** My concern with their response is that they may have done the top portion by calling to clarify things with my insurance company but they never did call me to discuss the resolution so that part of their statement is falseThey never contacted me since my original call to their officeThanks!

Out to the property twice and still unable to repair a leaky faucet and a toilet flush systemTechs rush in and then don't have the time and equipment needed to make the repair; then they say they can't find the shut off for the water; then they say the can't turn off the shut off because they might break it? Aren't they plumbers? If they break a valve they should be able to fix it Staff was incompetent too; unable to return calls; asking for a supervisor netted zero results DO NOT EVEN USE THEMIF YOU HOME HOMEWARRANTY OFFERS THEIR SERVICE---REFUSE Four weeks into the first call and the faucet still leaks and the toilet doesn't work

If your home warranty sends this company out, CALL them AT ONCEYou have every right to decide who will do the work that is requiredYou just need to let your warranty company know that this is a company with many many negative reviews on the Revdex.com website as well as on YELPAfter allowing them into my home and dealing with their initial visitI knew something was up, Went to YELP and realized that the same exact scam they pulled on me is their typical way of doing business Over $in "retrofitting" not including the first visit charge and a charge to dispose of my water heaterI called my home warranty and requested a pay out vs allowing these people back into my homeThey called Cooper State to come in and do the restoration work, and they were introduced that they were somehow associated with my home owners insurance which they were notThey then stalled and stalled returning to replace the water heater and we were left do deal with first a DRY house (no water) and then a cold water only house for almost two weeks

Brandon from CNJ arrived just before pm on a to pm service windowExamined the shower valve operation, advised me they needed to shut the house water off for a few minutesHe replaced the cartridge with minutes, and turned the water back onTotal time less than minutesWas courteous, answered my questions, and took my payment efficiently and quicklyThis was a home warranty call

My wife had an emergency leak yesterday called CNJ they were out before the end of dayTook care of the leak did clean work and were reasonably priced

CNJ Services was sent out by American Home to address a plumbing leaks and other issues The company's plumber displayed an arrogant attitude and was never really focused on solving my problems When he came out a second time to address problems in other area of my home he came without the parts to fix the initial problem saying that he did not have the paperwork to install the parts which they said they had received I would never use this company again They appear only interested in collecting their $fee from AHS and not solving my problems Ahs to their credit has put the company under review and has agreed that they will never be assigned to one of my workorders

CNJ services came out to my home to fix my hot water issuesTheir customer service is wonderful and their technician was very knowledgeable about what he was doingI will definitely be calling them if I have any future needsI highly recommend this company!

CNJ Services received a service request for Mrs*** residence in AugustSubsequently we scheduled a service appointment with her for August 24thRoger went out there found issues with the toilet, replaced the wax ring in the Master bath toilet and adjusted the fill valve in the hall
bathMrs*** paid at the time of service her service fee which is in her contract with her home warrantyThis service fee is due weather a contractor preforms any work or notThat is again governed by her contract with her home warranty not by CNJ ServicesMrs*** called us back on Nov 9th with the above issueWe informed her that she needs to call her Home Warranty company since she is their customer and not oursFrom the information that has been provided I con only assume that this is a different issue as the customer called back almost months after the original service this is most likely a secondary issue not part of the original problemAgain we would be more then happy to go and take a look at it but Mrs*** must contact her home warranty company and they need to issue a work order in order for us to be able to look at itFurthermore, I personally tried to contact the customer on Nov 9th, at 153Pm and was not even able to leave a voice mail to personally explain this process to MrsDumas
Sincerely

Helpless & wrongThose are the two primary characteristics from my experience with the tech from CNJ ServicesHelpless: refused to even attempt to place a tool on either leaking shower valve -- claimed I need a professional (not them!) to route out the hole, large enough for the tool (which they did not test)I ended buying the tool at *** *** and replacing the valves myself (no routing needed)Wrong: our very aged, very well-maintained Badger disposal froze up -- tech wriggled the motor, got it to spin again, and said, "Fixed" (I pleaded with him that I had been doing the same, but it was still sticking after a couple attempts after)After it froze the next day, I called *** *** *** again (to complain about the it from CNJ and to blame *** for choosing them) but they refused to helpClosed our *** account on the spot

CNJ is a scam artist that finds ways to get the work paid for twice once by the home warrant company and the other by the customerThe term modify is used so that they can bill customer

I have contacted my home warranty company and they are in disagreement with the statement that *** of CNJ has made, Furthermore, they have dispatched another contractor to do the repairHe arrived and completed the repair in less than hour and asked for no money as the warranty company was seeking recovery of the money I had already paid to CNJIt is still obvious that this technician had no intention of making the repair as he never even turned off his vehicleHe was only her to collect $and leave I went to Deltas' web site to research the valve and found it was discontinued item and a parts list was unavailable, which would not have helped anyway as I am not a plummerWhy did they not inform me that I was required (by them) to obtain the parts for the repair until a week later when I phoned their office? A ripoff is a ripoffI doubt they will be doing much more business with my warranty company
