Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have had several email communications with [redacted] ***, the VP of the CO Branch and we are unable to come to an amicable agreementShe originally offered a $refund, which I refused as I was seeking a full refundShe has now offered: Although we understand that you would like a refund, we would like to have at least one or two additional contractors out to your residence to confirm what your alleged damages are, under the law Although your position is that the services College Works provided had no value (i.eyou believe you are entitled to a refund), the only way for us to confirm that this is reasonable is to obtain multiple bids to determine what it would cost to have another contractor complete the paint job and/or repair the alleged damage Thedifference between our bid and the bid to have the work completed by another contractor is the amount that we would refund you You can always use the contractor of your preference to complete the work, but we would like to have at least one additional contract review the workmanship and bid the workI do not want any contractors that they work with on my property as I have lost all trust in this company and its lack of workmanship and accountabilityI'm happy to send the photos of damage/poor paint job, etcthat I sent [redacted] so that other homeowners will be aware of working with this companyPlease let me know if there are any further details I can provide Regards, [redacted]

We are very surprised to see this e-mail as we pride ourselves in above and beyond customer service, communication, and follow throughWhen it first came our attention Mr [redacted] was unhappy with the preliminary power wash, we scheduled another to be completed at a later date When the painter, Mark, first noticed paint on the trek, he immediately brought it to the Mr [redacted] ’s attentionThe homeowner then acknowledged that it was a pre-existing mark, and not the product of the current workThe painters were diligent in covering the trek, as it is a part of their standard protocol During the painting phase, when we realized the paint order error, we immediately halted production, re-purchased the correct paint and personally delivered it on site for the painting to recommenceDuring this process we recognized Mr [redacted] ’s concerns and have done our best to address them immediatelyIn terms of the alleged door damage, we have video documentation that shows the minor discoloration on the door trim cause by painter’s tape being removed (this was originally placed on to cover and protect the door) This is a small cosmetic discoloration that can simply and easily be fixed For clarification purposes, oil based paint can absolutely be painted over latexIt is acrylic (latex) paint that cannot be painted over oil-based paint without a primer coat We will more than accommodate Mr [redacted] ’s request to reinstall the downspouts, re-install the house numbers, and remove, if any, plastic on the homeIn addition, we will offer to repair the cosmetic discoloration of the door trim, re-paint the areas requested with oil-based paint (balcony floor, wooden handrails, and cellar door)Any areas of the siding that need to be re-prepped, will be addressed and taken care of In terms of the monetary dispute request, this is deniedWe have a $4,contract, of which Mr [redacted] has paid a total of 1,We acknowledge the project is not complete and are committed to completing the work at no further collection of the balance due (3,000) We have left Mr [redacted] a voicemail on Friday, July 3rd and again called and left a voicemail on Monday, July 6thEach of the aforementioned attempts has failed in any sort of response from Mr [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Thank you for reply Please provide clarification on how did CWP come up with $1,and where exactly does it apply Recap: Before the project I had: unpainted house no issues Now I have: a house painted with wrong paint issues such as with latex on the floor, porch and a coating stripped from the door I would be happy to have CWP fix the project, however I do not see how this is possible given past experience Let me point out the reasons of my respectful disagreement: - There are parties in the project: the customer (C), CWP Intern (I) and subcontracted painters (P) - C and I discuss the project and sign offNo issues so far except C could not reach I in many cases for days - There was a problem in if/how [redacted] is communicated from I to PIt is either not communicated at all or P folks did not take "I" management as seriously as they should have [redacted] was detailed and most items were ignored, beginning with paint type and ending with items to remove from walls before sprayingSpeaking about paint, it was actually me not CWP, who checked and questioned if paint was right and asked to stop- There was a problem in C to P communicationsP simply did not turn to C showing unwillingness to talk on project details, which makes one wonder if this is by design - P were cutting corners every step of the wayP workmanship was poor Basically in the morning when driving away to work I could not ask P anything and be sureComing back home - issues every day I would only want CWP to put back in place downspouts, house number figures and remove protective plastic from where it is still attachedI am trying to arrange this with ***, sent emails and this is still not done.For your reference: the door is [redacted] ***, the porch is [redacted] ***/ [redacted] For above reasons please take CWP fixing the project out from the tableIf you have reasons to believe is of value, please elaborate on how and compare and come up with a bottom line number There is still time and room for settlement

Letter submitted to College Works on July 5th, 2016: "We are contacting you to convey our dissatisfaction with the service we have received from College Works Painting We were initially solicited door-to-door by Max [redacted] in May of We were impressed by his enthusiasm & promise to do a detailed job of touching up our houseWe signed an $contract that included a power-washing, scraping, sanding, priming, caulking, paint chip removal & a year guarantee Completed: • The lower level of the house received a power-washing & lead inspection • Bad areas were scraped & given a single coat of Duration • A District Manager came out to inspect the work as it was being completed • We were encouraged by Max to register for our year guarantee • We paid the balance due under the promise that walk-thru items would be finished the next dayWe noted dissatisfaction regarding the lack of primer stated in the contract • We gave Max a good reference &
