College Works Painting Reviews (81)

Hired College Works Painting to pressure wash my house and paint the front porch columns and railings. They started with the ground floor first and then washed all the gunk from the 2nd floor down onto the first. Some places don't look like they've been cleaned at all and they left residue or cleaning solution all over all of my windows. Paint job is horrible. Wasn't prepped properly - flaking paint wasn't sanded it was just painted over, lots of drips and runs, paint spilled or dripped on concrete porch floor, paint on house numbers, paint missing in some places all together (except on my plants which seem to have plenty of paint on them!). I've contacted the local supervisor who has not corrected the problems even after coming to the house and working on it three different times. I've contacted the main office in Irvine, CA three different times and asked for a supervisor to contact me and I have received no response. The job is still incomplete. I still have their tarp and paint supplies sitting on my front porch. They've been sitting there untouched for almost three weeks now. So far I have paid them a deposit of $303.75 and another partial payment of $455.00. This is a total of $758.75 for about $100 worth of work. According to the contract, I would still owe them another $450.00. Not only am I not going to pay the balance, I want a refund of what I've already paid them as now I have to hire someone else to do the work properly (pressure wash the house, correct and finish painting, and wash my windows!) This entire process began back in May. It is now September and the job is still unsatisfactory and still not complete!Product_Or_Service: Painting & Pressure WashingDesired SettlementI want the contract between myself and College Works Painting voided and I desire a complete refund of all money paid by me to College Works Painting - a total of $758.75Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] VPContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Hello[redacted],First I was to introduce myself my name is [redacted] and I am the Vice President of College Works Painting here in North Carolina. I am very sorry to hear about your experience with CWP thus far. I am more than willing to come out myself to take a look at the job and find a solution for this to make you happy. I apologize again and this of course is not the intent whatsoever. We pride ourselves on customer service and want to make sure we take care of you. My personal cell phone number is [redacted]. I will be giving you a call shortly! Consumer Response I have spoken to[redacted]. He did call me as he stated he would. He stated he would be able to come by my house next week - after the Labor Day Holiday weekend - and assess what needs to be done and what steps they will take to correct the problems. I am just waiting to see what happens with that meeting. Nothing is settled at this point.
