We do not feel that we owe a refund. The work was completed to their satisfaction. As far as the installation of the roof, we found a lot of oak wood, not plywood that needed replaced. Normally the charge would be $750.00 but we felt bad about the additional work and only charged...
them $660.00. Our operations manager, at the time called Mr. [redacted] and explained the situation. Mr. [redacted] could have refused to pay the extra money but did the right thing and offered to have a cashiers check for us in the sum of $660.00 which is attached. I have also attached the completion certificate which is signed by the customer and states that they are completely satisfied.
After investigating this project I feel that we do not owe the customer a refund of any kind. The owner called, and it is documented, to have us do some repairs that were on an inspection report . When we inspected we discover that the valleys were cut short and that is what was causing the leak. We went ahead and fixed it as per the request. Not once was an interior leak mentioned until the second call. On the second call the interior leak was reported in a completely different area and the owner again requested us to repair it. We gave her the cost and she said to go ahead with the repair, again this is all documented. We also gave her a discount due to the confusion. We also have all of the email correspondence between our manager and the owner.
JANUARY 13th of 2014 I hired columbia to remodel my kitchen, it took them three months to complete the job which was a big issue then,I had to complain to Revdex.com then also about their pour customer service and not returning calls etc.Now just over a little year later I have called them again, the first time was in september I explained to them that my ocounter top where there is a crease is lifting up plus my sink has rust spots in the sink itself.I was told that they were going to call me to make a appointment to come to my house to see and take care of the problem. I have not heard from them to this day I called again on the 23th and the 26 of october left a message with amber bringle as of this day I still have not heard anything from them. this is something I went through with them before very very very pour customer serviceDesired Outcome: If this company is doing this to me I wonder how many other customers are going through the same issues. I am not going to go away I do not have monay to throw away because their company does not care about their customers I would wannt to no who to get in contact with because dealing with these people at the number I have is not working at all. I am paying 16,000 dollars I believe I have a right to have my kitchen done correctly

Regards,
[redacted] - [redacted], their Job Foreman, has made several incorrect statements again about the work done. His only correct statement is where he said that they didn't do the roof. Meaning the shingle part. We had contracted with another person for the job. When they had almost finished the shingle part, the owner had a heart attack and died. His son closed his business and refused to finish the job. He gave us a refund on the balance of the work that they would not do. We then contacted Columbia and they reviewed what else was to be done and wrote us a contract to finish the work. We have not had any troubles with the shingled part of the roof. Their agreement was to finish the shingled area over the freeze line, rebuild and reline the box gutters, steam clean, repair and put on two coats of Gecoflex paint on the seven flat metal roof areas, rebuild two chimneys and place bird screens on them, replace the back porch with a deck that would be on the second floor and new railings around the bottom for our part of the porch. The wooden soffit around the house, the freeze boards and Fascia were all to have new wood. They refused to paint all the new wood being used stating that it wasn't written into the contract. We wrote an addendum to the contract for $ [redacted] because I insisted that they do the painting while they were up there already and I didn't want to hire another person to do that work. I purchased all the paint for the wood and metal roof areas as well as brushes and rollers for them to use.. We gave them $ [redacted] to begin all the painting and was supposed to pay the remaining $ [redacted] at $[redacted] per month for 10 months. Three months after they had left, we started having a leak in the front flat roof area and birds were coming down the chimney. That was when we decided to hold off on paying the balance of $ [redacted] until these problems were corrected. [redacted] came and looked twice without doing anything for us stating his hands were tied until we paid the balance in full. I showed him a check made out to him for the balance and told him that I would hand it to him after he satisfied my complaint and corrected the problems, He refused and left. I getting sick and tired of all of his incorrect statements about this work. I am sending you a copy of the contract and several pictures of the bad workmanship. Please try and get this settled before the cold weather begins again - Thanks [redacted].

The contract was not received until over a week after the estimate and $3060 down payment, though it was dated May 14. The change order is dated May 15, stating "Void original contract." Therefore, Columbia is, to vastly understate, inaccurate about the dates. I told [redacted] we did not want their work, but did expect a refund, well before contract was received in the mail; change order had been hand-delivered to my aunt on May 15, but she never signed her acceptance of it. However, Columbia still has her money despite this and despite their never having done any work, and they apparently still refuse to refund it.

This job has been completed. The problem is there was damage to a corner cabinet which we have ordered twice and it has come in wrong both times. Unfortunately we can not control vendor issues. I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] this morning and explained to her that we are on top of this and...
will get it taken care of. She was very understanding is satisfied with our phone conversation. Other than this she is very happy with her Kitchen remodel.

Columbia Exteriors made a MAJOR mistake that I am paying the price for. I did my part by having my mother present to let the staff memebers of Columbia Exteriors into my home so that she could show them the exact location of the leak.. The staff members told her they did not need her services and messed up the job.
I have attached a letter from [redacted] who gave a second opinion of the work in question. I expected so much more from Columbia Exteriors. I am extremely disappointed that it has come to this point. I will continue pursuing this matter until my refund is received.

Customer invited us out to provide an estimate. Customer filled out the docs to obtain financing, it is the customer's signature on the paperwork. Customer canceled contract well after the 3 day of rescission and did not allow us to come out and do the work. There is no refund of down payment.
We called the customer, well after the three day recission period to schedule the work. He told our production manager that he had canceled. He said that he faxed in the cancelation and that he had the fax confirmation. The production manager said that we never received a fax but...
that all he had to do is show us the fax confirmation and that we would refund his money. Our production manager told him that he would have someone stop by to see the fax confirmation and he said fine. When we had someone call him he refused to let them come out and said he would see us in court. The bottom line is all he has to do is bring in the fax confirmation and we will be happy to refund his money.
Per [redacted] of Columbia Exteriors: The service has not been done because the customer has not paid in full. The service agreement can not be honored according to the business unless the $[redacted] has been paid.
I'm very sorry that this happened. We just recently had to terminate our entire service department because they started up their own business behind our back, were contacting our customers, stool our tools, etc. I did ask our receptionist if she had any messages from you and she said no...
so I'm not sure what number you were calling. I will have her reach out to you today and explain to you how to get your money refunded. We do not redeem your coupon until the service is going to be completed so you just need to go back to [redacted] to receive your refund. Again, I'm sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this caused you. Our small service division is only a small part of what we do and I would appreciate it if you need any remodeling in the future that you would give us another chance to serve you.
I have spoke with the customer, gave her my direct number and email and we are going to work this out. I didn't see an attachment so she is going to email the information and assessment from the other company.
This company is terrible. They do not answer the phones or return messages. The service is beyond poor and here is the response I received from the owner or manager in regards to the lack of service I received. Please note that not once did he leave me his name as a contact and also did not provide a full phone number for me to call. This is not a Revdex.com accredited company for good reason! Below is his response:
We are very sorry this happened. Unfortunately sometimes there are problems with certain employees. Rest assured that the 2 individuals responsible for the scheduling of your service have been let go. I would like to make this up to you. Please call me directly @ [redacted]
This has already been a complaint once and with all of the changes we have made and the new account manager this has slipped through the cracks. We apologize and promise the money will be sent out be weeks end. Thanks for your patience.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would like to respond to Columbia Ext. regarding their response to our original complaint. I'm sorry to say that the issue we have with the company is more than the wrong color of grout that was used to tile the majority of the bathroom. I feel the company has not addressed the list of problems that we told them about immediately after the subcontractor they hired to do the job said they were finished. Here are our list of complaints; The decorative border that was installed inside the shower area has crooked tiles, some tiles applied out of sequence, crooked tiles and towel bar crooked, tile that was cut to allow for floor heating vent was cut too big, many of the floor tiles are not level and grout is coming out, wrong toilet and bathtub installed, and finally the toilet broke approximately one month ago and I have no paperwork for warranty on the toilet or tub. I have been to Ferguson Enterprises several times trying to find the right parts to fix the toilet so that it will flush properly. I purchased several different Flush Kits and even took the serial numbers but as of today, it is still not working properly. I was told that this is an older model toilet. I was under the impression that this was a new toilet that was installed. We have no manuals or warranty paperwork for the tub or toilet. I would think that when new products are installed on a bathroom remodel you would leave the homeowner any warranty or instruction manuals for the products that were installed. I could go on about the unprofessional manor of this company and the way this remodel was handled but it just comes down to the fact that I do not believe Columbia did a gooSid job for us as a customers. I hope they refund our original down payment of $2276. I will attach a few pictures to verify my complaints.Sincerely,
