Comfort Services Heating & Air Conditioning Inc gave us a courteous and speedy response and [redacted] provided excellent service in servicing our air conditioning needs. He explained the problems, discussed our options with us, and listened and responded professionally to questions we had. With [redacted] and Comfort Services, we had a positive experience and we will be recommending them to our family and friends.

Thank you

Professional tech, explained the service process for the ac unit. Upfront with the pricing. Tech was very courteous, arrived on time.

Prompt arrival, covered shoes with booties to keep my place clean, went to work and solved the problem. worked to diagnose the problem and solved it for additional fee but seemed reasonable cost and honest. I would use them again.

[redacted] B is an excellent Service Pro. He was very informative and encouraged us to ask questions, suggested interesting products to help our home. He came early than scheduled which helped us out and didn't stay long. Very nice service tech!

Our air conditioning unit had it's annual tune up today.
Everything checked out fine.
However, the unit never turned on after the original technician left.

We called the company and they sent out another tech to find and fix the problem.
As soon as he arrived, it started to rain.
In the pouring rain, he tested our unit, found the problem and fixed it.

We were very pleased with the swift action and corrective service provided by Comfort Services and their tech, [redacted]

[redacted] did a great job and was extremely nice. We are beyond please with the work he did for us.

Comfort Services is a great company to do business with. Fair and reputable. Have always been well satisfied with their service. [redacted] provided me an estimate of replacing my old, worn old heating unit plus new duct work. The estimate was exactly the final amount. Had the new unit installed and operational in less than a week. Thank you Comfort Services!

Excellent service by [redacted].

The service representative came on time and kept me informed of the progress being made throughout the entire service trip. Although as with ALL companies, he tried to sell me other services, when I declined, he respected my wishes and was polite.

Excellent Service!

The company made a service call to repair a heating/AC unit at my daughters home. A technician made the call and diagnosed the problem as a bad high limit switch. The technician said he would have to return the next day to replace the switch (a $21 part which he charged me $434.25). I paid him $513.25 to cover the part and the $79 service call. The next day he returned to find that the heat exchanger was also needed replacement. He stated that would cost $1600.10 in addition to the $424.25 for the heat limit switch. At that point, no repairs were made. I was given an invoice stating that an advisor would give me an estimate for a replacement system and "the customer will be owed or credited the amount of $434.25 if they decide not to go with the repair." The decision was not to replace unit and I requested and was told that a refund check would be issued on Dec 3, 2013. After the additional phone calls, I was told each time someone would be calling me back, that never occurred and no refund has been issued. By the way I found that the $1600 heat exchanger was covered by the manufacture warranty at no cost.Desired SettlementRefund of $434.25Business Response /[redacted]/In response to the above complaint:Customer called on 12/3/2013 to request a refund and was told to give us 24 to 48 hours to investigate the matter. Information was given to the accounting dept. that due to the account being in the son in-law name and payment being made by the father in-law, the accounts could not be matched up in a timely matter. In addition to that the accounting dept was gone most of the holiday season. When they returned this matter was quickly addressed and check [redacted] in the amount of 424.25 was sent out on January 3, 2014 to the above mentioned. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/The company has issued a refund check as requested. Complaint is resolved. No other action needed. [redacted]

Comfort Services came out to investigate a gas smell in my HVAC/AC unit back in September 2014. The technician said the issue with the coil was more expensive than replacing the entire unit due to its age, so they replaced it on Oct. 2, 2014. The unit failed the initial test by the Town of Apex because the gas smell/leak was present. Comfort had to come back to address this issue and it passed on Oct. 22, 2014. In January 8, 2015, the unit began making a noise every time the furnace came on. The technician whom came out stated the noise came from a plastic casing on the gas value, so he tightened it and the noise stopped. On March 20th, they sent an email for maintenance (I had a maintenance package). They came in June 2015 for the maintenance service, so everything was checked and cleaned and they left. A service call was put in July 2015 because the unit was not cooling. On July 28th, 2015 and the technician found water in the drain pan and ice on the coil. He added Renew oil to the system and advised us to turn off the unit for the ice to melt. He stated that it would be fine on the next day. Today, Sept. 10, 2015, the unit was completely off and it was over 90 degrees upstairs when we arrived home for work. We called Comfort Services to address the issue and spoke with the After-Service line. A manager called back to address the problem, but seemed totally unapologetic or concerned. She stated someone would come out on tomorrow between 12:00 and 4:00 pm to service the unit. I asked what did they intend to do because for a new unit, we have had continual problems with both the HVAC and AC components. The unit has a warranty for a period of three years from the date of completion of services.Product_Or_Service: Rheem Gas Furnace/Evap Gas PackAccount_Number: 1354Desired SettlementThere appears to be a breakdown in either the unit or some pertinent parts. Obviously the unit is defective in some manner because the same issues keep occurring. If a replacement can not be offered,I would like a full refund of the product/services being that my family has been inconvenienced with temperatures and had to take off work for several service appointments that continually occur every few months.Business Response /[redacted]/We at Comfort Service don't like to see our customer experience issues with a newly install system. After reviewing this account, these visits were cover under the 3 year parts and labor warranty. The systems have a 10 year parts warranty and 20-year heat exchanger warranty. Our industry was effected by an mechanical issue with air conditioning evaporate coils over the past 18 months. This resulted in many return visits across the Unites States and this customer was effected by it which caused a No Cooling service call. We corrected the issue per Rheem and do not expected anymore problems with the system in the near future. Comfort Service has granted this account/customer an additional year of maintenance coverage for the inconvenience. The issues listed in this complaint does not warrant a complete system replacement or full reimbursement.
