Issue with estimate and charge on credit card.3/8 Comfort Services came to do the yearly tuneup on my HVAC. I've been using them since 2010. The tech said I needed a new blower notor, that it had life left but I should think about doing the repair. I left an estimate that consisted of a blank piece of paper with a net price at the bottom of $1006.00. No detail. I gave him my credit card and put a deposit of $503 down. After he left, within an hour, I decided to get another estimate and called their office to put a hold on the work. I told them I wanted another estimate. That I was not comfortable moving forward and I didn't trust the technician. They tried to talk me into spreading the payments over 15 months. I didn't want to do that. I was told my card would not be charged. I called back days later when I saw the $503 on my credit card. They said they hard ordered the part. I didn't authorize that nor did I sign anything. No work was done. Just the estimate. I was told they would credit me back but they never have. They've lost a customer - I'll never call them again.Desired SettlementCredit my charge card.More information received from the consumer.please close case. I received a refund.

Price on coupon confusing or deceivingI received a coupon from Comfort Services about AC tune-up. The price on the coupon is $79 per system and I was told the same thing when I called them to schedule an appointment. Today (4/28/2016) two technicians came and did AC tune-up for the cooling system, but I was told to pay $158 because I have two compressor units. Apparently they charge $79 per unit but not per system. I thought system means heating or cooling system. They should have clarified what system means. When I was calling them to schedule service, I was not asked how many cooling units I have and I did confirm with them $79 charge.Desired SettlementI wish they can honor the price put on the coupon, charging $79 instead of $158 for the tune-up on the cooling system.Business Response Comfort Service goal is always to delivery world class customer service. We greatly apologized if $79 per system confused any customer. In the future we will make sure it states " $79 per system/unit". Thanks for your feed back. Consumer Response If I had known it was $79 per unit, I would not have called for the tune-up service in the first place. I want to get $79 back.

If you want to be overcharged, call Comfort Services! They charged almost 1200 to spray two units with water, fill with refrigerant and a so-called service plan. If they cared about customer service, they would refunded my cancelled service plan money. I am sure I will wait forever for a portion of that money even though they didn't mind taking out 300 dollars today.
Call [redacted] instead. They confirmed I didn't need 3 pounds of refrigerant that Comfort Services wanted to charge me for. And they even re-cleaned the units for free! And [redacted] charged 1/3 to do more work than Comfort Services.","neu-1
